Rincon Creek Ranch is a relatively newly opened guest ranch and event venue. We were referred to it by the pastor at our wedding venue. The ranch has one and two bedroom casitas. They are not traditional casitas as I remember them. These are brand new houses with great construction and amenities. Our group stayed in a one bedroom and a two bedroom casita. They were beautiful. Gretchen and Bill did an awesome job with the casitas and all the little details. The casitas have their own feel to them but have in common great bathrooms, full sized washer and dryers, full kitchens, fire places, great linens, etc. They even left a basket of farm fresh eggs from their chickens in each of the casitas. I can't say enough about how nice the accommodations were. The ranch backs up to Saguaro National Forrest and the views are magnificent. I found myself sitting on the patio in a rocking chair drinking my morning coffee just taking in the view. They also have a community house where there is a pool table, entertaining area, DVDs, etc. Of note, there are TVs in each of the casitas but no cable or satellite tv yet. I actually find this a benefit. The only potential drawback of the ranch is actually getting to it. Part of the road is carved out of the desert. The packed dirt roads are susceptible to rain run off and is basically off roading the last mile or so to the ranch. While you can probably get your Prius up there, you need to have confidence and remember the route if you are driving it in the dark. It really isn't that bad but something to point out. We can't wait to go back to enjoy the ranch and Bill and Gretchen's hospitality.

Grab a glass of wine and unwind in this tub.

What a great find for my wife and I on vacation. Stop looking for a place and book a Casita with Rincon Creek Ranch. You won't be disappointed. They pay attention to every detail to make sure your stay is memorable.

As we would learn later, Gretchen had designed each casita individually with complete relaxation in mind.

Having sold our large family home we were in wait mode for our new home build to be completed. John and Danielle were so gracious as we extended our stay plus moved to a larger casita to spread out a bit more. The casita (#6) had everything we needed. Two bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, dining room, and sizable comfortable living room. Our Dog Cooper enjoyed the freedom of the back yard plus nightly walks around the sizable property. While we didn't use the pool it looked inviting and had a nice cabana resort feel with lots of shade and lounges with curtains to divide sections for privacy. We will be recommending this lovely historical resort to all our friends. Check it out, it's a hidden gem but it won't stay hidden for long! Comfy beds with ample closet space in each room plus an overstuffed chair to relax in. Good lighting all throughout the home. Nearby activities ヘ Central to all Sabino Canyon activities as well as a trek up to Mount Lemon, not far to go for a fun outing downtown. Easy access to groceries, basically close to any/all shopping necessities Safety ヘ Ample lighting all through the resort. Locking security gate for after hours coded access only. We felt very safe while here in our casita. We even had a locking security screen door so we could grab the occasional evening breeze. Ample lighting all through the resort. Locking security gate for after hours coded access only. We felt very safe while here. Our casita even had a locking security screen door, too hot for us at the time to take advantage of a breeze but could see how nice it would be in the right season. Walkability Little too hot during our stay (july/aug) to venture outside the property on foot, but we enjoyed sunrise and sunset walks around the property pretty much daily. Food & drinks Beautiful setting. Trees in particular are absolutely stunning! Large grassy area for outdoor fun, lots of covered space for large events or family gatherings, nice walking paths, ample lighting and it appeared every casita had some level of personal yard space which is priceless when traveling with a pet or kids. Fun history on the welcome book to deepen the sensation of being part of the life the resort initially started with as one of Tucson's original ranches so many decades ago.

Medella Vina Ranch - The screen has been inflated!

My guy and I decided to try the drive in movie experience here…read more The location is nice however this place uses an inflatable screen. The bad part is that it doesn't sit high enough for you to enjoy the complete screen. My guy was not happy trying to watch the movie when the cars parked in front of us blocked 25% of the screen. The parking situation could be better if they staggered the cars a bit and didn't over crowd the area. Social distancing was not done here. I will say this, they have air conditioned restrooms which were a most welcome site! A nice surprise. Overall, it was ok. My guy says we will not be back. 2 stars for air conditioned bathrooms.

But the best part is the internal gardens. This is the perfect venue for a wedding or a retreat such as the retreat that I attended. There are fountains, benches, green grass.... Yes you Native Tucsonian's you heard me right: GREEN GRASS! and the birds are constantly singing songs and prancing around through the numerous water fountain features. It is so peaceful and I felt as if I were in the mountains isolated away from the city. If I were planning a wedding, I would certainly come back to this place. The owners are gracious and very accommodating. They even have a special dressing room for the bride to be. Also, there are two kitchen areas, one for serving and the other for preparing any food items. When our retreat was over, several of us were actually invited to go back down a dirt road and look at the horse stables. One of the employees said they might be planning to provide some horseback riding adventures in the near future. You may want to call and check out all this lovely facility has to offer. I certainly will when I'm thinking of something special for my friends and family!
