One star is way too much. I usually never mess with reviews. This was going to be my second tandem…read morejump. The first one was awesome so I found somebody to take with me but they canceled. I was going to get a refund but the owner say it why don't you find someone else to go with you. So I did just that. With all the emails I had from doing all this I was confused. So I simply called to confirm what time we were supposed to show up. Well I guess I was calling too much. I'm sure it was the owner I was talking to, because anyone else would have been fired. I was very apologetic and polite but this dude made me feel like he hated me. He said do you just want me to give your money back to you? Say well I guess, he said good, done bye. When he hung up the phone, he didn't hang up because I could still hear him talking about me like I was a POS. He said some customers aren't worth having. I heard somebody in the background saying are you giving his money back? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had been nothing but polite and so apologetic to this man. I'm surprised that I got all of my refund. Everyone else there is probably great but the owner has severe anger issues. I do not recommend this place only because of this dude. He said the reason he was mad was because I was taking up too much of his time by calling so much.

I called the day before to schedule an appointment and I got an appointment for noon. When I…read morearrived theh checked me in and I waited for a few minutes before someone came to tell me the students were actually going to lunch and asked if I could come back at 1230. Weird, but ok. I told every person I spoke to there, from the phone call the day before to the lady that checked me in, that I'd finished radiation only a month before, that I had aome patchy spots on my scalp where my hair was growing back in one area and the hair that was growing back was really fragile, because I wanted them to be gentle. I was in the middle of telling this to my stylist when she interrupted me to ask if I had eczema. Rude in all aspects. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted. She asked the length I wanted and I showed her, physically, how long I wanted my hair to be once cut (a little below my shoulders, to cover my surgical scar and the area I had radiation too, since I'm more prone to sunburns in that area now). She asked what I liked about it, and I was like, "Umm, the cut?" and she asked if I liked the texture of it. Yea, sure. I had to remind her three times that I'd had radiation recently and to please be gentle before she bothered asking what radiation was... I explained to her and her response was, "Well, I'm glad you didn't die." So that was...awkward... I wish I could post photos, but I ended up with a shoulder-length bob, which was not in any way what I asked for. I wanted it below my shoulders and a little shorted in the back, angling down in the front. I'm not even sure about why she asked if I liked the texture, because she sprayed some hairspray or something and that was the only texturizing she did. The more I think about it the more angry I am at myself that I tipped her for giving me a bob. Just be aware that, in my experience, if a student can't do what you're asking for, they'll just do whatever they can do, whether you like it or not. The one star is for the price.

I gave blood yesterday and the staff was knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and personable. It was a thoroughly good experience. That said, it is only by chance that I donated yesterday. Everything online, except for an old newspaper article, said it was located somewhere else, and all references say that it is closed on Fridays. Some friends of mine also told me it was closed on Fridays, including one friend who donates every time he can. He travels more than an hour to do so because "the Elizabethtown, KY center is closed on the day (Friday) that he can do it". If I hadn't gone to the mall for something else (it's been over a year since I last went to the, mall) I wouldn't have known it was open. With the Red Cross makes a big deal about there being a critical blood shortage, their management should make sure that their contact information and operating hours are up to date... or fire the person responsible for doing it and hire someone who can.

Was told yes you do and our next opening is next Friday. I thought there was a dire need for blood and money donations after the tornadoes destroyed parts of Kentucky. I guess the Red Cross of Elizabethtown has more than they need.
