This is the only USPA group member drop-zone in the state of Kentucky. They offer tandem skydives, first jump courses, rigging services, and allow licensed jumpers at this location. For aircraft they have both a C-206 and C-182. Manifest helped us make the first plane load of the day. The drop-zone owner, Jim was friendly and pointed out some of the landmarks on the flight to altitude, which was pretty neat. They take tandem reservations online, have an indoor packing area, and are primarily only open on weekends. Yes, you should go make a skydive if you are in the area. read more

Gave a phone call, had a couple questions, the guy that answered seemed agitated that I called while he was driving on "I-65". I was just trying to see if I could come in this upcoming weekend considering I filled out papers and watched videos. Mind you I did all that almost a year ago, while I was trying to beat the expiration date. After having jumped with another company I feel compelled to leave a review for Skydive Kentucky. I felt completely safe and in control with Kevin at Skydive Kentucky. I knew every step of the way what was going to happen and what to expect from him and what he expected from me. With this other company I felt left in the dark. And if I hadn't jumped before I would have been totally in the dark. But because I jumped with Kevin at Skydive Kentucky first, I was prepared and knew what to expect. I promised my son years ago to take him skydiving for his 18th birthday and as he finally hit 18 this month, it was time. We were both a little nervous as it was our first time ,but the staff and instructors at SkyDive KY did a great job making us feel comfortable. You are literally trusting them with your life and they know it. Our skydive was delayed a few hours by the weather so we ended up spending a few hours waiting ( no complaints there , we would rather be safe than sorry ) , but waiting was never uncomfortable , the staff was incredibly friendly the whole time and engaging with us while we waited. They kept us up to date on how the weather was moving and our current ETA . Overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back next year for our next sons 18th birthday. read more

I've jumped several times before at other places and this place was a terrible experience. I was treated extremely poorly for no reason, I waited hours and then didn't even get to jump. Go to the skydiving place in Cincinnati or somewhere else I promise. read more

This place is Absolutely Incredible. My instructor for my jump was Mike " The OG". This man made it fun and exciting. He made me feel extremely comfortable and was a wonderful man and soul. I hope everytime I go back I get to jump with him. He made my experience ridiculously amazing, kept me laughing, and at ease about the whole experience. This dude F'n Rocks man. What an awesome experience. The instructors, pilots and others that are involved with Skydive KY where outstanding. My daughters purchase me a tandem jump for my birthday. The instructors very professional yet fun. Great class then plane ride to 10,500 feet. Freefall for around 35 seconds, then I pulled the cord for main chute at 5500 feet . What a view as we floated down for and additional 5 minutes doing right and left turns. Smooth easy landing next to hanger with family waiting. I recommend renting the GoPro camera that goes on your wrist. Have Fun!! read more

My first Yelp review for my first skydiving Tandem jump. The only thing I knew when I went in, was that I would be jumping from a plane, with a man behind ensuring that I am safe. Turns out there was more. Understood some basics of sky diving, learnt about steering a parachute and got to pull the ripcord when the time was right. I am thrilled even a day after. Will probably show up again at some point, and might go for a solo jump. I wasn't sure I would consider that, but the people here have put me at ease enough to consider that I can do this on my own. This place is awesome! Did my 1st jump at CSC in Rochelle, IL and the staff here was much more personable and informative. Mike Mann was my tandem instructor and we had a blast! This place was just amazing! The competency of the staff and the way they make you feel at ease will make anyone feel comfortable jumping out of a plane nearly 2 miles high. It was such a rush that all you want to do when you land is jump again and again. Big shout out to Mike, Eric, and Mike for making our jumps memorable and giving us an experience of a lifetime! CANT GO WRONG!!!!!! This place is amazing! Family oriented and very very very friendly. You'll get to know the guys and everything! Did my first tandem here and it was awesome! After a week or two i came back to get my license and got it within two weeks! They're just really friendly and always give friendly advice. Sadly i moved to Arizona and for beginners, they dont even offer static line here. I can only tell you this, Skydive KY has static line for your license and costs ALOT less than most places! Went for a static line jump Saturday October 12 with my husband for our anniversary. This was the first jump for either of us. We hadn't even done a tandem before. The calssroom training given to us by video and supplemented by Dusty was very thorough and straight-forward. Harness and gorund training from Jim was also very thorough and complete. All the staff was extremely friendly and patient. It is very evident that safety is their number on epriority and having fun is number 2. They are a very proffessional but fun group of people with excellent customer service and interaction with each other and the customers. They feel like friends from the beginning gaining your trust and confidence in a sport that requires a high amount of each be given to the instructors. We will definitely visit them again in the future as wella s recommend them to any of our friends interested in jumping in the future. read more

rude, rude, rude... I will NEVER NEVER NEVER use this place, they are JERKS!!! I have met nicer people in the gutter!!! I will clarify why I made this review: First and foremost, I am old school with customer service, I have worked with customer service since I was 14, I have always gone above and beyond, and while I know this is not going to happen everywhere I go, I do expect to be treated with respect. That being said, I called this establishment requesting a donation for a dual fundraiser for a non-profit I am representing. The owner said he gets calls several times a week, I said I understood. The owner then said he gets calls from people wanting to send their kids to school functions and other events that are frankly the parents responsibilities, I again said I understood. I was asked what was the purpose of my fundraiser, I explained to him the purpose, (raising monies to help with expenses so one gal can attend trials for her parents murders, the second one was to help raise monies for a gentleman who has had two back surgeries and now finishing treatment for throat cancer, he has been unable to work for four months). I was told he could think of 50 more deserving causes. I said I understood. (I really think at this point, he is having a really horrible day and looking to take it out on someone, on me), I have only met these 2 people once, briefly. They are human beings in our community who need help. They have experienced tragedy, they need compassion and assistance without someone telling them they are not worthy, they feel that enough every day going through what they are going through. I was asked why I would bother calling him for a donation and what in the world I wanted from him, I explained whatever he thought he could donate and felt appropriate to donate if he was willing to and that I was really trying to make this a wonderful fundraiser, that I was reaching for the stars, it was a dual fundraiser, and I was trying to do the best job I could since it was my first, and I was told to take his company name off my mailing list (like we have called him in the past). So I apologized for bothering him and offending him and hung up. I have since been contacted to discuss this, and missed the call, I tried to call back, and have not received a return call. On a personal note: I have been skydiving twice, and highly recommend it, but at this point, I will drive to Indy over this location because of the treatment I got on the phone. A simple "No, we are unable to donate" would have been sufficient, I was in no way, shape or form pushy with the owner, I tried to get off the phone with him after the first insulting comment, but he just kept going on and on with the questions. It doesn't matter if what you are selling it worth $2 or $200, you don't treat people like dirt, kind owner, word of mouth will come back and bite you when you bite at those who contact you. read more
