I can't say enough good things! You know pretty quickly when you meet with a contractor whether you will be able to have them be at your house every day for months. From minute 1 I knew that I could work with George. He was personable, knowledgeable, honest and didn't play games. He didn't overcomplicate things and make it seem like a kitchen was a mountain. He filled me with confidence that the job would be handled by a professional. They remodeled my downstairs, from the radiant heat, floors, gas fireplace, kitchen, electric, smart "stuff".. The Ringer team showed up every day, rain, snow, sunshine etc. The team was polite and truly a pleasure to see each day. And my downstairs is gorgeous!! I have had multiple contractors over the years and I must say that George Ringer and his entire team at Ringer Construction are by far the best! Liz and Debbie in the front office are friendly, knowledgeable and always quick to respond. My construction crew; Dylan, Mike, Ryan, Matt, Harrison and Antonio were amazing! They are trustworthy, friendly, skilled, meticulous and thorough. It was a pleasure to have craftsmen who take pride in their work and treated my home like they would their own. The project was not finished until every last detail was completed properly, all without any prodding. Any company is only as good as the boss. George is an exemplary leader. He was on site each and every day, with his trusted assistant Winnie, to monitor progress, provide input, answer questions and problem solve as needed. He made sure that the renovation progressed in a timely fashion and crews were on site at all times until the job was completed. I did receive more than one estimate for the project and they were comparable. Georges is very arrogant unprofessional. We hired him to do the entire second floor. Stay away and don't be fooled with his low estimate! By the end of the day he will charge you double or even triple, he gives you very vague estimate he will never give you a detailed estimate! His guys always unsupervised he will be asking the homeowner for supervision you will only see him every Friday for the check. The first day his guys came for the demo they were high we smelled the Mar-iguana as they are coming in. Test everything before they leave the job because half of the wires in the walls wasn't connected we had to cut the sheetrock to reconnect the cable, terrible electrician, the tile guy messed up our bathroom tile we are hiring another tiler to redo it, his demo guys broke a pipe on the second floor leaked into my dining room, I can go on and on so many things to list. read more

George, his family and company turned a very large and outdated master bath into a contemporary spa. The room went from an eyesore to the most relaxing place in the house. The transformation has added comfort and value to the home. The process from initial design consultation to final payment upon completion was a positive experience. Going into a project this large, a homeowner must expect a few unforeseen obstacles. Not having that mindset would be foolish. How a contractor responds and fixes problems that arise, to me, is the true measure of the company's performance. Ringer exceeded expectations in this category and their effort for a job done right was only matched by their attention to detail on the project. Remember that patience and extraordinary communication by both customer and contractor makes the job go so much smoother and in the end will keep a good relationship with you and the company you work with. Terrible character! Georgie isn't what he is cracked up to be. Follow up and finish of the job ends up at the bottom of the list. Have to be very concerned about his integrity. Paid in full and he has dodged phone calls to fix a roof leak that he created. Don't ever believe him! Georgie - wish you would just answer a call or email versus dodging folks. I stopped at a building sight and asked the men to have the owner call me because I needed some work done at my home. Nothing. I then called the office left a message and received a call back . I made an appointment for George Ringer to come by my home for an estimate. I took off of work to meet him. No show , no call. Very unprofessional ! read more

What this company did to my house, unbelievable. The demo guy cut the wire to my furnace while taking apart my old kitchen. The owner told me no problem it's August we'll fix it before you need the heat, don't worry. Yeah? They would not fix it till the heat was needed in October, and the plumber left the water valve wide open in my basement, the electrician fInally fixed the electric and then left the house- FLOODING MY BASEMENT. Thank God I happened to go downstairs in the morning after working a night shift. There was several inches of water in the basement and it was coming out the pipe full blast! No one in my home, and the horrid electrician did not check we told him to and that it was important to us. The electrician would come in and do one thing and leave lots of other things undone, then have to come back and do something else, no plan to this guy whatsoever. As a result, the flood happened, we have all different outlets in the kitchen- whatever he could fInd he'd put in, there was no thinking WHATSOEVER. Some outlets didn't work, and one was not a safety outlet in the kitchen. We did not allow the electrician back into our house. The demo guy is a complete thief. He stole several items from our home, as well as THE COPPER PLUMBING THAT ALLOWS MY WASHING MACHINE TO EMPTY INTO THE CESSPOOL!!! We had to hire another company at great expense to correct this unbelievable theft. I still can't believe this! So if you hire this company you must be able to watch each of their workers at all times. Want more? They put in brand new subfloor. There was not one board in my whole kitchen that did not squeak severely as you walked on it. We made them fix it before hardwood was put down. The boards were grinding together, so not just a squeak but a grinding of the boards against each other. They had to redo the whole thing. Apparently the fellow who put in the subfloor had no idea what he was doing. The insulation sheets had at least an inch between them on outside walls. Terrible job with the insulation, we called the owner to come see it, he agreed it was a poor job and to have them fIx it. The only thing we kept from our old kitchen was our stove as it had been replaced just 2 years earlier. Well when they were doing the electric behind the stove they repeatedly pulled the stove in and out from it's spot, and they damaged the way the top connects to the stove. I saw them pull it and rip it off the slots at least 10 times like they didn't know what the heck they were doing. Monkey style. No care. They brought us a back sliding door and large kitchen window that does not match the rest of my windows and the other back door! We have bright white outside doors and windows , they put in off white. We did not notice at first but really it's PATHETIC. No thinking occurred, again. The old kitchen window was taken out, and the next day the crew put the new window in the same spot without looking at the blueprint- which was taped to the studs and right there at all times. Of course it was in the wrong spot, but they saw the old windows framing and they just stuck it in without a thought or a look at the plans! Then the next day THEY DID THE SAME THING AGAIN! Believe me if I did not see it with my own eyes I would not believe it either. They put a new ceiling in. It looked nice! The spackle guys were very good almost excellent! But then the high hats had to be moved in the brand new ceiling because the cabinetry halfway blocked some of the high hats!!! I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted to. Brand new kitchen, they had to cut into my brand new spotless ceiling because they have no idea what a plan is. The plumber nearly burned my house down. I mean, the stud where he soldered is pitch black and looks like a brick of charcoal. No care taken whatsoever. We were shocked to see this, is he too lazy to block the flame against the wood? Really scary. George may seem nice but his eyes are closed. read more

Very bad experience. Ringer messed up my heating system, my electrical system and the actual construction safety of my house. They made mistake after mistake and then blamed me. A very expensive staircase was sized wrong, the spindles were wrong (not the ones I picked) and they ruined newel post then tried to pass it off with glue and putty. My heating system was modified, without my consent and ruined - so upstairs is much hotter while downstairs is cold. Their electrician could not even put in a three-way circuit correctly and the floor is unlevel as can be, Ringer tried to do only ONE THING - finish fast and rush out of here. They did not stand behind their work, they did not even try to make it right, because that would first have to mean that they admit a mistake. This was a $40,000 mistake for me, do not let them near your house. read more

I recently hired Ringer Construction to finish my basement. After having a number of competing bids I settled on Ringer Construction as it was very apparent that George Ringer the owner is extremely knowledgeable and fair. Not only that his expertise came through in a number of areas where he made suggestions on we could improve the overall use of the space. George's teams works extremely fast and if you need them to slow down for whatever reason be sure to speak up. Please do not use this contractor. Use Cavalier Construction who I am using to correct all of they problems Ringer caused. George will be extremely responsive, act knowledgeable and friendly until you sign your contract. Once you sign, you will be project managing the entire renovation and receive attitude for any questions you try to ask. His workers are unprofessional and all work is performed cutting corners. I also found beer cans from someone on his team drinking behind my garage on multiple occasions - figures. Everything they have touched, I have had problems with. My brand new wood floor is buckling because my brand new glass sliders were not installed properly, allowing water into the house. The brand new roof they rebuilt and laid is leaking. I had to hire an electrician and a plumber to fix everything Ringer's people touched. When I asked them to come back to fix their work, I got the run-around. I'm embarrassed I hired them - save yourself the aggravation and money and hire a more reputable contractor. read more

Terrible customer service. After waiting four weeks for an estimate appointment, an hour to do the estimate, then absolutely no follow up/estimate in 8 weeks. Called twice in that time with no resolution. Called back a third time, finally an answer. Basically "too busy" to do our estimate! Poor business practice. Period. read more

I hired Ringer construction in July of 2014 to build a dormer and do 1st floor remodeling the job was completed in December 2014, Ill admit George was on top of things until the house started having issues. It started with a leaky hose to my washing machine George came to replace the hose but didn't want to go through the hassle of pulling out the washing machine and dryer to fix the brand new wooden floor he installed that is now warped from the amount of water that built up, The master bathroom has mold coming through the wall in which I contacted George in March 2015 it took him 6 months to come by and try to fix but the problem only the mold came back within 2 weeks and from October through December I was trying to get him back still haven't heard from him its now January 2016. Would never recommend Ringer construction to anyone. read more
