    Feeding the longhorns

My employer had our Organization Day here and it was a really fun time. We probably had over 300 people and nothing was ever too crowded or messy, even with that many people! The staff was really friendly and the head cowboy that took us on the hayride was awesome and super knowledgeable! We fed longhorns, played volleyball/basketball, horseshoes, river barge rides, washers, s'mores, bingo, and more stuff I can't even think of now! Lunch was pretty good BBQ ribs and awesome cobbler & ice cream. This place would be a really great location for a casual wedding reception or a family reunion. The only downside is that its out in the middle of nowhere...but I guess it is a ranch, right?

The waterside cabana was awesome and probably our favorite part of our trip. I'd give the cabins a 2.5-3 star because it wasn't the cleanest. The cabinets had some grime on them and the counters. It didn't smell too fresh either. It didn't look anything like the photos which was a little disappointing. I can tell it has been run down over time. It's sad because I feel like a little bit of TLC and keeping matching towels and bedding can go a long way. We were also missing 2 bar stools and I had to ask for them because we were a family of 7 and there were only 4 stools, they were quick to accommodate which was appreciative! The barstools were different and didn't match, not a huge deal! It is a little disappointing when the pics don't look like the real deal. Feels a little misleading. I'd give it a 3 star for maintenance and upkeep in general. Between the cabins needing some upkeep, the decks by the game hall rotting in some spots, the game hall inside needs some TLC just about everywhere. But a little bit of it would go a long way. I feel this place could easily be a 5 star place if they tried just a bit more. Looking forward to trying their other locations. I do recommend this place but I would be mindful of how much the rate is. I think we went during a higher rate period...the value for dollar comes into play here. When you add the cabana and the wristbands for the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and the Lilly pad for our youngest the price can really get up there. I do wish that some perks were included like they used to include such as the cabanas and water toys. I feel like that would really set this place over! Overall a great family time for our family!

This was, without question, one of the biggest wastes of money we've ever experienced…read more We planned this trip to celebrate our twins' 9th birthday weekend. On Friday--the day we were supposed to arrive--we received a text saying that due to flooding there was no river access and that we could stay at one of their sister locations instead. We immediately called, only to be told that every other location was fully booked. Since the entire purpose of the trip was to celebrate our children's birthday that weekend, I asked for a refund so we could book somewhere else. They refused. Instead, they offered to let us come back another weekend. Unfortunately, you can't reschedule a birthday. We were already packed, our six kids were excited, pets already with their sitter and paid for, etc. We had also purchased day passes for Saturday so we could enjoy the river. They said those would be refunded and offered us access to a sister location 45 minutes away instead. While we appreciated having some option, driving 45 minutes away is completely different from having a full day of activities right outside your cabin. It was not the experience we paid for. To make matters worse, our cabin had no electricity Friday night. It was incredibly hot, and we weren't moved to another cabin until Saturday morning. The cabins also were dirty and one of the beds smelled like pee. Even after everything that happened, they have refused to offer any compensation for the hours we spent without electricity or for the inconvenience of having to move cabins. The promised refund for the day passes didn't happen either. I had to call multiple times before it was finally processed. The customer service has been the most frustrating part of all of this. I've called at least half a dozen times over the past three weeks asking to speak with a manager. Somehow, the manager is "always unavailable," no matter what day or time I call. Every time I'm told I'm on the callback list, yet no one ever calls. The employees answering the phones repeatedly say they have no authority to resolve anything. I rarely leave negative reviews. At 39 years old, I believe this is only the second bad review I've ever written. But after this experience, I feel other families deserve to know what they may be dealing with. Things happen--floods and power outages are beyond anyone's control. What is within a business's control is how they treat their customers. Unfortunately, this company showed very little concern for making things right, and that was the most disappointing part of the entire experience.

We wanted an autumn celebration that felt intimate and warm, a quaint Spanish hacienda aesthetic with carefully curated details that would transport our guests to another time and place. We didn't just want beautiful; we wanted authentic, classic, and timeless. From start to finish, our decorator exceeded every expectation. Every single element we discussed was executed with remarkable attention to detail and genuine understanding of our vision. The hanging papel picado in white added such an authentic and festive touch to the space, creating a canopy of charm that was both playful and deeply elegant. Against the cream drapery that draped so gracefully throughout the venue, the papel picado became a stunning focal point that felt neither overdone nor understated, just perfectly balanced. The floral arrangements in deep fall reds were breathtaking. Our decorator understood that we wanted bold, romantic blooms that would complement rather than compete with the architectural elements of the space. The result was classic elegance at its finest, arrangements that felt organic and abundant while maintaining such refinement and grace. Many people gasped at the cost we must have spent on the real florals for our wedding. Every Floral element was carefully curated with silk flowers, but no one was the wiser. The terracotta pots scattered thoughtfully throughout the venue added that essential earthy, rustic element that grounded the whole aesthetic. They were layered beautifully with the florals and greenery, creating such a cohesive, intentional look. Nothing felt random or out of place. What impressed us most was how our decorator understood that true elegance comes from restraint and intentionality. Every detail from the cream drapery that created such soft, romantic shadows to the warm tones of the terracotta came together to create a space that felt sophisticated, refined, and unmistakably special. Our venue looked like something from a carefully curated magazine spread, yet it maintained an intimate, welcoming warmth that made our guests feel right at home. Linda listened, understood our aesthetic completely, and delivered something truly extraordinary. If you're looking for someone who can transform a vision into a flawless reality while maintaining the highest standards of elegance and taste, we cannot recommend them more highly. Five stars, without hesitation.
