Last week, I walked in to the Paseo branch to deposit a government check to pay my credit card balance and to use their coin-counting machine. The branch manager of the Paseo branch interrupted the conversation between the teller and I, to say that he had "a concern." He asked the teller to stop my transaction, and he returned my identification and check before asking me to leave. What would cause a bank branch manager to prevent a legal financial transaction and then ask the customer to leave? A 1-star review. That's it. The Paseo branch manager asked me if I wrote a negative online review concerning his specific branch. I didn't deny anything; I admitted openly that my online review was my true and honest experience. At that point, the branch manager asked the teller to stop my transaction. The manager returned my identification, and asked me to leave. He didn't like what I had to say online. My negative review was about a creepy investment banker there whose job is to get new customers to invest in JPM Chase. His first question when we met him was, "So, how much are you guys worth?" We're not answering any of your inappropriate questions. My husband and I thought that we made it clear to that employee that we're never going to be investing with him. This guy doesn't take no for an answer; he calls me, I block him. He calls from a different phone and asks to speak with my husband. We block him again. After that guy called us while we were asleep, I wrote a negative review online, which the Paseo branch manager read and disliked enough to prevent me from conducting a legal business transaction. I wrote a complaint to the highest level of Chase that has a public email address and I requested a written response from Chase addressing my concern. I'm still waiting. Meanwhile, I went to the manager at the Indian School Rd branch, Mr. Ernesto Ortiz. This time, my experience was far more welcoming. I retold the story and Mr. Ortiz was sincerely understanding. He went out of his way to let me deposit coins, even though the Indian School branch doesn't have a coin-counting machine. Mr. Ortiz was professional and truly caring. Big difference. Now, be careful out there, readers. Sharing an honest thought could get you policed.

I immediately called Nusenda Credit Union only to be connected to a person working remotely out of their home and not having a clue. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was advised none were available and would have to "message" someone to get back to me. Going on 4 days now and.....STILL not a word from anyone at Nusenda Credit Union as I sit here with thousands of dollars unaccounted for within my accounts at this institution. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone at this branch and are transfered to a remote call center (someone at home in bed answering calls....for real)

If you are the sort that goes regularly to your bank or credit union it still might be. If you are like me and prefer to do as much banking online as possible stay away! They recently redesigned their website. It is now slow and cumbersome. Forget about it on a mobile device unless you have a ton of data and 20 minutes to kill. Their mobile app which is still available for download doesn't work. Beautiful icon however. Failure rate, high. Never mind the additional "security" measures they have in place. Be prepared to lower your browser's security settings to accommodate their cookies. I have to get a text message sent to my phone every time I want to do any sort of online banking unless I let them set up shop on my computer. Now the final straw. They are trying to sell you products before they let you log in to your account with NO WAY TO OPT OUT OF OFFERS! My credit union has become a street vendor overnight. To make matters worse they are not even straight forward about it, the questions they demand you answer are demeaning and insulting. ONLINE BANKING FAIL! (Enjoy your wait at the teller)

After walking me through the fix she then took the time to let me use my I-pad to log in, set new password, & ensuring everything was working properly. When I left everything I came in for was fixed. That true customer service, all in less than an hour. (Most of that, because I am slow) This is why this is our Credit Union. Staff were still following masking protocol, but were allowing customers to choose if they wanted to remain safe by wearing one.
