For as long as I've been taking my boys to Shane he's been located on Holmes street in downtown mystic, and that will continue to remain the same (thankfully). He also has amazing hours and can be booked for weeks ahead of time using the Booksy app. This makes things super easy when you're juggling scheduling multiple haircuts, and rarely have to wait. Some old school vibe shops are walk in only, which provides an entirely different experience and is meant for folk that have a lot more time on their hands and should also have many chairs available to choose from. Right now and for the forseeabke future Shane is a one man band and does not have additional chairs rented to other barbers. With that said, his haircuts are always super crispy and the kids say how fresh they look. The guy is packed with good technique and an amazing personality. Always a fun time and interesting convo between myself, my boys and our one and only local barber. The ladies at this hair salon are super nice and conversational. I always get an appointment time that works for me. Once I arrive for my hair appointment, they ask if I'd like a wash. Of course I say YES. Who doesn't like someone else massaging their head and washing their hair. Its very relaxing. No matter who is my hairdresser that day, I always receive compliments on my hair and tips on how to do certain things with it along with product recommendations. They always ask how my mother is doing (she gets her hair highlighted there all the time) and how the rest of my family and life is doing. Every time I leave their salon, I have a smile on my face and beautiful shiny hair. Love love love!
