So it's July 3rd in the morning and I am visiting from out of town on vacation and I'm looking for a place to trim beards. I call a few businesses and no dice, but I call this place and Peter, the business owner, answers the phone. I tell him specifically that I need a beard trim and he tells me that they are not taking appointments over the phone but to go to his website. I tell him thanks but all I need is a beard trim and do you think there might be someone available for that. He says, I would need to make an appointment for the beard trim, but Jim is available at 1:30. Book it on the website. It's at 1:30. So I plan my whole day around this 1:30 slot, which is right in the middle of the day (on my vacation of which I could be doing other things) because he told me it was available. I leave my girlfriend to wait for me and get here...and as soon as I get here, Jim comes outside and says he can't trim my beard. Just around the sides of my mask. I tell him that Peter told me specifically that I could. Apparently Peter was standing right next to Him and Jim just looks at him. Peter, says excuse me? I repeated to him that he had told me to make an appointment for a trim on the website. He says, nope...no you didn't. Some now I'm angry. This guys wastes my time...and then lies about speaking to me on the phone. I tell him that he's wasted my time and he reiterates that it's not his decision...it's the governments. Why didn't he tell me that on the phone?? Instead I waste a whole day waiting around for an appointment that would never happen. I tell him that this will end up in a review and he calls me an A$$hole and to go back to Massachusetts and trim the beard myself. What a great guy. Thanks Pete. read more

I saw a review stating that this was not a family friendly place due to crude language and conversation and although I cannot speak from their experience I can speak to my own. I have brought both my boys to the shop (Age 2 and 6) for going on 6 months now and Caleb has been so good with them both, Pete too. I've been going to Pete's Barbershop since they opened and I will continue going. Caleb has been cutting my hair forever and does a great job. They always do their best to try and fit you into their busy schedule. Great people and great business. Pete is the man! They all know what they're doing as far as cutting hair. I yelp'd (as i always do) to find a GOOD BARBER. any guy out there knows how tough it is to find a good barber. these guys are great!! the shop is clean. and I was in the chair for a good bit. the barber took his time and was very detailed. Pete's babershop embodies professionalism. They boast three great barbers (Pete and co) and the third is just for walk ins. They stick to a tight schedule, however if a cut is finished faster or Pete has the ability to fit in a walk in customer he will. This barber shop is fantastic, I read the reviews on here prior to entering and that is how I made my decision. The reviews are accurate, I was a walk in and had a young guy named Ryan cut my hair. Great dude, very personable and he does a great job with the clippers! Ryan gave me a refreshing cut, even used a straight razor around the edges(never have had that done) and cleaned me up well. I highly recommend this place and Ryan in particular. The environment in the shop is great, everyone seems happy to be there. I have never written a yelp review but this guy did such an outstanding job that I felt it warranted a review. The website even has live cams to see if there is a long wait.
