It is a gorgeous sunny day and my car needed a good washing, boys showing dirt, wheels are dusty, bug splatters on windshield and grill; so I went to Riptide in Lititz, PA. $15.90 gets you a "Mid-Tide" wash. Sadly, after the wash it doesn't look much better. Bug splatters still there, grill looks terrible, windows and chrome trim are spotty. Perhaps Riptide has cut back on soaps/cleaners in the wash? Not sure but I could have done a better or even same job at home with a garden hose and sponge. read more

Their vacuums weren't working and at first they told me to wait 5 minutes. They normally have the vacuums I like with narrow attachment. After 5 minutes in 90 something weather with child in car I asked for a refund they said couldn't do that. Well geez give me a coupon or something, the main reason I get car washed is to vacuum interior. Won't be back here anytime soon. read more

Started with Riptide when they first opened. I have the midtide plan, in the beginning the cars came out real good. Now the cars come out with soap on them, wheels not cleaned and half are car is still wet VERY DISAPPOINTING read more

The automated car wash is a step up from anywhere else. Don't go on a windy day or the vacuums will scratch up your hood.

Went to the new Riptide on Oregon Pike - twice. Terrible. Car looked okay until the water completely dried leaving spots all over. My brother (who owns a car wash in AL) says they are using reclaimed water which has not been properly treated - essentially rinsing with dirty water. I've been going since they opened. Actually, used to be going. I drive a stock Honda Passport with stock tires and rims, and I get the Midtide wash option since it has tire shine as part of the package. A couple of years ago the tire shine application began to be hit or miss. Mostly miss, where 2-3 tires had nothing and were bone dry, and the other tire had 50-70% coverage. But since I liked the overall wash quality, and the free mat washers were a nice extra, I continued to patronize and started getting the Lowtide option that doesn't include tire shine. And then applying my own tire shine post-wash in the food market parking lot next door. Sometime in 2024 they were closed for some service/upgrade work, and I decided to try the Midtide with tire shine option again after they reopened. Still no good! The first time, I called after arriving at home, and the person said she would leave a note at the desk for me to get a rewash. That worked, but tire shine coverage during the rewash was so-so. The next wash a couple of months later I emailed about the issue, and a few days later got a wash certificate emailed to me. That worked, but coverage was not good, about 50% on all tires. After the most recent visit about a month ago, I had to email them pictures of my four tires, and then got a car wash certificate. That worked lousy! During that most recent visit, there was for some reason an employee (gentleman with a beard) inside the tunnel on the left side just before the tire shine brushes and blower/dryer observing operations. My tires were bone dry again. I'm done making the fifteen-minute drive from my house for this quality service. read more

Facility and grounds are nicely kept. Tunnel washes the car okay except the tire shine. The tire shine only makes it on to about 30% of my tires. I've never been to a Carwash that doesn't hand scrub your grill and hood to get the bugs off the front before you go in the tunnel. They don't do that so you won't get hardly any bugs off your car here. I've also never been to a Carwash that doesn't include drying towels. This one wants you to buy them for $5. No air duster either, just vacuums. Vacuum suction is fantastic. The tire shine, bugs, and drying towel issues at the $35+ membership price point is too much of a downside to give more than 2 stars because it puts this Carwash very low on the totem against other car washes that don't have these issues. read more

This is the worst car wash. I just spent 13 dollars and the car is still dirty. The wheels looked terrible, not even clean as I went home and had to hand clean each wheel what a waste of money. Next time it's back to Landis Wash and Lube as they do a great job. read more

Not worth the money. And beware of the tape the put on your rear windshield wipers. My wife didn't know they put the tape on and used the wipers after the wash - it ripped the wiper off and she lost it. Annoying but also risk of damaging the motor of the wiper. Excellent exterior cleaning! Love the vacuum suction and long nossels and more so the mat washers!

I'm more of a DIY guy but decided to give this new business a try since it is winter. I signed up for the monthly unlimited wash promo. It performed as expected for a clean exterior wash but have had to take a cloth to a few heavy soiled areas a couple of times. Each time an employee saw me doing this they have offered to redo the wash and I've declined since I have "car towels" with me all the time and its only a little area. The free vacuums are common in other areas so it is nice to see them here too. read more

I suggest their name should be Ripoff Car Wash. Im a subscriber to their unlimited club but today I wanted to add the wheel wash. I handed over my credit card for the upgrade. The cashier was having a problem processing it so he said go through and he'd hand me my card and receipt on the other end. To my surprise he charged me for a full car wash. I walked in to the office and made note of this and he said I had to speak to the manager - I explained I have unlimited club and wanted the wheel wash upgrade just for today. She said we can't do that. So I have to effectively pay for 2 car washes? I said that's a ripoff. I said I will be giving them a bad review. Another employee standing there chimed-in said I have a bad attitude. I said I'm happy to pay for the upgrade but they said that's impossible. I said OK then give me a refund. After some back and forth the manager agreed but held my credit card in the air and said she would only give it back if I agreed to leave the premises and not "engage" her employees. Now here's the best part - wait for it - my wheels are STILL DIRTY. read more

I have been 4 times now and can say it is a good wash, not great but good. My car is very clean and has a nice shine. I purchased the MidShine. My complaints are the rear of my car usually is still wet. The tires shine does not get on the whole tire. There is soap in the door jambs. I was going to buy the unlimited club but I am not sure I will keep going there. read more

Impressed! I was skeptical because drive thru car washes have never really been that great and I'm picky. I took my 15-passenger van there because it was filthy and it's a lot of metal & glass to hand wash in January (not to mention having to move a step stool around to clean the roof). I waited until the next day to evaluate it in the daylight and I must say, it was well worth the 15 minute (one way) drive to go to this facility. And at $16.00 for the top package, you just cant beat it. I'm still a proponent of hand washing but with the 2 hours it takes to drag everything out to wash this behemoth, and put everything away, this is a much better option. I would not recommend this car wash. Poor customer service and staff is not well trained and is not friendly. They load cars way too close together. Today my husband put it in neutral and I said we are really close today. The soap came down and moments later the belt stopped. And employee knocked on the window and told us we hit the car in front of us. Thinking she was going to apologized she blamed my husband. He was in NEUTRAL!!! She refused to look. Said it was no different than if we hit him on Lititz Pike!!! Yes it is!!!! My car wasn't on your belt covered in soap! Said go through the line and pull over to discuss with other driver. Thankfully no damage. Owner came out and spoke with the other driver. Didn't even look at our car. I emailed and again no apology. Was told I could come watch the video footage. Blaming is!! I know my car was in neutral. Offers refund, no thanks just wanted we will look into our equipment and discuss customer service with our employees. We are a 4 car family and will not be back! read more
