I hadn't seen a dentist in more than 30 years for anything other than wisdom teeth extraction, so to say that I was hesitant is an understatement. I saw the general dentist, had my cleaning, consulted with the orthodontist, and then was scheduled for a follow-up to have a cavity filled. On my second visit, I had my braces installed (applied...?). At that time, it was determined I needed to have two teeth extracted for orthodontic treatment. On my follow-up for the cavity, the general dentist was able to extract the two teeth. I expected agony - but, if I am to be entirely honest - at the very most, I felt mild discomfort over the three following days. I experienced a minor issue with my braces (one of the rubber bands came off while I was flossing). As a result of the extractions, I also had two brackets (on my lower canines) which were ripping the crap out of my lower lip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tech was able to quickly fix the rubber band issue - without an appointment or a fee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When she finished, I asked what she recommended for my lower teeth. I expressed concern that the wax wasn't staying and I didn't want to risk getting it into the wounds from the extraction. I expected her to suggest gauze, or some other product to ease the discomfort until my next appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead, she offered to change the wire and correct the issue right then. Again, without an appointment or a fee, she took the time to go above and beyond what was required, expected, even requested of her - to take care of me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There are not enough words to express to you how much I appreciate that red-headed ortho tech. I was miserable. I just got out of work, had a long day, a sore mouth, and now had to deal with this. We actually called and made a "Walk in Appointment" and well.. Was not a place to park so we had to take care of picking up our son. And we mad it in 26 minutes after our appointment time. And with the simple hiccup of not finding my Dental Insurance card. I was able to locate Insurer toll free and we are good to go. My wife was seen in 24 minutes and with the strangest portable low yield hand held cray. Doc was able to determine the problem and infection with Script and off to the next. So I came here before to get a bridge done which was expensive at that time . Fast forward 4yrs this year I come in cause the bridge fell . So I come in in an emergency status . They take there time to help me out show no interest in helping me out . They see me and right away they give me a huge price of 7k to fix me . Then I show them I have insurance and say go home we will call within a few hours to see what new price is . It takes them 3 days while I'm in need of work done . Still they give me ridiculous price of 7k-9k price ... and they are supposed to be a helpful place . But thanks to them I found a better place much cheaper and helped much faster . When I was sitting in there seat waiting to be helped out you can just hear all the young staff playing and making jokes in Spanish and making jokes about " my teeth " I was like wow really ... never will I ever step foot in there again . Have a child with autism and took him to child dentist there, was advised they are not able to deal with it and was referred to another dentist that does not take my insurance who specializes in kids with autism. My child is in the middle of the spectrum and was just afraid to let them look in his mouth all it takes is some patience. Also have a daughter that goes there for braces, very disappointed on the difficulty to make appointments for her. First we had to wait almost 3 months for appointment because of their broken window, now we have to wait almost 2 months because of their system being down and when I called back they were that far out. I had a root canal and crown done here. It was easy to make an appointment, I was able to be seen quickly. I did not have dental insurance so I was looking for somewhere where they could offer discount for cash payments. They had a promotion going on when I went in to my appointment and was able to get a discount. They have payment plans, but you get a discount if you pay all of it in one payment. The office is clean and everyone is nice. The bad: Mask wearing is not importar to the dentist who performed my root canal and crown. He was wearing a mask on his chin. I would assume that while you are working so close to someone's mouth you would want to wear a proper fitting mask. The day I went in for the first time to be seen by the dentist I asked him to please adjust his mask and wear it properly. He did, but the mask was loose and it kept on falling off his nose, he would not adjust it. The second time I went it same thing happened, I asked the dentist to please fix his mask. He did fix it, but again the mask kept on falling off to only cover some of his mouth and that's how he kept it through out the root canal and crown procedure. I feel like the dentist was being careless and doesn't put much effort in his patients safety when it comes to proper mask wearing when being in such a close contact with a patient. Would I go back to this place? I would if I could get a different dentist or if the dentist I saw could wear a mask properly. read more
