I decided to get braces and was referred to Serrano Orthodontics. I had the pleasure of meeting all the doctors and going to both locations. All the doctors are funny, kind and personable! My consultation visit was very welcoming! The coordinator was friendly and I felt like I knew her for years! I got my braces on today and Stephanie at the Phoenix location was amazing! She explained everything she was doing and showed me how to properly take care of my braces! Both locations are very clean and organized! Phoenix location gives cozy vibes and Chandler location gives modern vibes! My experiences at both locations with each doctor have been wonderful! I did Invisalign a few years ago and they are very nice there . My issue is today I saw them because my retainer was loose . He tightened the wire , literally took 5 seconds and I was charged $175 . I almost fell over and think that's ridiculous and just plain greedy ! I am going to re-think going back to them in the future . read more

Serrano Orthodontics gave me exactly what I wanted at an expensive price. I am definitely satisfied with my smile and the results. I came in about a year ago for a consultation for Invisalign. I've had other consultations for Invisalign in the past and I was always told that I needed braces on the top and bottom of my teeth. My top is straight but my bottom was really bad. I just could never get myself to be ok with braces as an adult so I was bummed that I couldn't be a candidate for Invisalign until Serrano Orthodontics. My dentist referred me to Serrano Orthodontics because I had a grinding issue and if it continued even with my mouth guard, it would be bad for me in the future for my bite and my jaw. I met Dr Andrew Serrano at my consultation and he tells me everything I wanted to hear: I am an Invisalign candidate and it can be done in 9-12 months. The thing was the price was high but it included the cost of everything- the product, all the visits, and if my smile wasn't going the way it should be going and I needed braces, the cost would cover that too. I was sold. No other orthodontist has told me I was a candidate for Invisalign. My experience has been a great one. I changed my aligners and in about 9 months, I had a beautiful smile. They gave me an upper retainer and a permanent retainer on the bottom but I don't seem to mind it much. The staff is always so sweet and the Drs are always friendly. They also always offer cookies, water and coffee for after your visit. On another note: my sister got Invisalign at a different state and at a different place and she paid about half the price I paid. However, her teeth did not completely become straight. They told her she would have to have braces if she wanted to fix it and it would be an extra charge. So, I definitely think that what you pay is what you get. read more

The front office and office policy is horrible. it's too bad because Dr. Salinas is compassionate. it's too bad that compassion doesn't extend to his staff. My dad woke up sick and we were not able to give 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. He's 86 years old. There was no compassion. They charged him a fee. Merry Christmas to him!!! read more

This place treated me badly!!! I can only surmise Paul Serrano is a racist, or just poor tempered, or perhaps both! My husband and I were only affable. When he mailed the refund check, it came in a little box because he also returned a souvenir we gave him from our trip to Holland. He ruined the relationship he had with our dentist who referred us to him. We have since had other experiences with orthodontists, and have learned not only does this man have a poor reputation  for bad behavior i.e., yelling at people and throwing instruments, but he also cheated us from the very beginning. He was only going through the motions. He never took us seriously. Why? We will never know. His son Andrew, he has promise but his father is in the way. Paul intercepted our appointment with Andrew after our dentist personally called to set things straight. When I saw Paul come instead of Andrew, I only got up, and Paul started yelling at us in front of everybody. Saying very rude things. We demanded our money back. He did oblige rather swiftly. But the damage has been done. He wasted quite a bit of time. The material he sold me was crap. Even his son Andrew confirmed it at one point. He has been a pig-headed, manipulative bully. While his son Andrew cowards away. Don't fall for the Charlatans. read more

The Serrano 'crew' are first class. They have made me feel so comfortable from my first call to my last retainer delivery. They answer the phones like pros. No automated messages and/or needing to leave messages. The team took care of me like a family member. The doctors seem so knowledgeable and treated me so carefully. . . This review is several years overdue, but suffice it to say the original Dr. Serrano Sr., was not honest about the prognosis of my daughter and despite thousands of dollars paid out to him, treatment for a decade and her having braces twice, she still wound up with a messed up jaw and a crossbite. Their solution was for us to spend $800 more with the office on permanent metal retainers to hold the teeth where they are--not aligned-- and in a permanent crossbite. The second set of braces were put on too early and Dr. Serrano Sr., should have waited until her jaw was finished growing. Of course with Dr. Serrano Sr., retired now, nothing was done by his son to remedy this situation or discounted on the retainers we had to buy. We were just Just told by him that all the right decisions were made in the past by his father, which was not true. And oh, if we wanted her crossbite fixed we could pay him another $10,000 to get her a third set of braces and more treatments. read more

I love this group! I've been in the dental field for over 20 years and had to choose an orthodontist to treat my daughter. Her dad is a disabled general dentist and very selective with who is allowed to care for his girls. We had a handful of specialists evaluate Devon and were thrilled when we met Dr Serrano. His fun attitude won over my not so easily impressed 11 year old. Dr Serrano had an extreme attention to detail during our consultation and he was able to win over my NY ex hubby. No wonder he has been rated a Top Dentist in AZ year after year. We even had a visit w Dr Kyger in Chandler and Connie and Trish and it was all around a great choice for our family. read more

AMAZING! On your first visit you already feel part of the ortho family. Everyone is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Serrano makes you feel very comfortable and talks to you about every aspect of your case. Me and 2 of my 5 children have been patients for over a year. I recommend their office to everyone! I had braces in the 1960's, but my teeth shifted over the years. After I retired I decided to fix the misaligned bite. Now I'm 65 and have been going to Dr. Paul Serrano for 2 years. I'm almost ready for the final step of jaw surgery. My life has improved 100% since getting braces again. I've lost 20 pounds, my teeth have never been stronger, and I feel great! In 2016 my dentist recommended Dr. Paul Serrano to help me get a sleep apnea dental device. I awoke from nightmares when I wore it (the device is not small) so I returned for a follow up exam hoping to get some advice on how to proceed to make the device successful. Everything up to that day had been just fine. At that follow up exam not only did Dr. Serrano shame and humiliate me in public with patients in other chairs nearby overhearing what he said (and looking dumbfounded like they wanted to jump out of their seat in protest), but then he nonchalantly told his assistant to write me down as non-compliant, offered no follow up steps for making the device work for me, and walked away like it was nothing. DROPPED A PUBLIC INSULT BOMB on me then walked away. I was in tears and he knew it. I even asked him how he could say that but he wasn't moved to apologize. I replied to an email the next day when they emailed me asking for the remaining payment -- and I asked how he could say and do that and expressed how upsetting it was -- and got no reply. EVER. I finally got the nerve this month to submit an ethics complaint to the dental board. I'm not going back. EVER. read more

Dr Paul Serrano is at the top of his field. Dr Andrew Serrano, son, is also an incredible gem and you'd be lucky to get him. I needed help with sleep apnea, because I can't tolerate CPAP equipment. They did thorough evaluation and used sleep study results to do high tech measurements and fitting of mouth appliance to be worn at night for apnea and it's very disruptive snoring (think of partner). Monitoring/adjusting if necessary/follow up. Staff is as good as they are. read more

I was disappointed with this office. They are overpriced to pay for the cookies and iPads in the office. I don't need a fancy office. Just provide good service and reasonable prices. What really disappointed me was the fact that the Dr looked in my daughters mouth for 10 seconds, looked at me, and said "She needs braces". DUH...really? I didn't know that. That's why I took her. He didn't provide information as to what he was going to do. He asked me if I had questions. That's why I go for a consult so he can provide me with information. Good thing I went to another Orthodontist before him so I knew what to ask. To top it off he didn't mention a certain appliance included with the braces. When I mentioned it he said he liked it and would put it on my daughter. Good thing I knew about this appliance from the previous Ortho otherwise my daughter would have had all kinds of unknown appliances in her mouth. He then tells me he's been doing this for 20 yrs and knows just by looking at her teeth that she needs braces. I can look at anyone's teeth and tell if they need braces. I went to 5 different Orthodontist and he was the only one who I feel didn't give me information on what he was going to do. I'm glad I finally found an Orthodondist in Chandler. I highly recommend Dr. Serrano. I have been going to Dr. Serrano since I was a little girl. I have a very small mouth with big teeth. He did a great job with my metal braces. I unfortunately didn't wear my retainer so my teeth got crooked again. I went back for the second time for Invisalign. I loved Invisalign compared to my metal braces. He was able to make my teeth straight, smaller, and they don't flare out anymore. read more

Worst experience I have had with an Orthodontics office. Staff was incredibly rude after the free consultation when I told them I needed a couple days to explore my options since I will be paying cash for treatments. The office called to check in and when I told them another doctor recommended a different course of treatment the consultant said that Dr. Serrano doesn't agree and hung up. I called a week later to ask to speak with Dr. Serrano and was told I'd be getting a call back the next day. Three weeks went by and I heard nothing. I sent an email and got a reply over a week later. They told me to speak with Dr. Serrano again I'd have to pay $375. I would not recommend this office if you are looking for a personal experience. Too bad, because my boyfriend had gone to him 10 years ago and enjoyed his experience for the most part, except for a little mishap with his retainers. Don't waste your time with this office. read more
