I was very impressed with Spiro's eye for detail during our initial walk-through. He explained that his fee includes evening out imperfections in the walls and even conducting minor repairs. And he did come through the house prior to the first big paint day to spackle and plaster. The house was partially empty as we were in the process of moving in, but did have some furniture and boxes scattered around. Spiro and his team worked together with our interior decorator to plan out the various paint colors -- we used eight different colors. They also worked carefully around the stuff we had in the house. We also used wallpaper on seven walls, which Spiro's son Dion subcontracted out to a guy he's worked with frequently, Wilfredo. Wilfredo and his team did an awesome job on the paper -- aligning it carefully, doing a masterful job covering outlet plates, and even wrangling peel and stick wallpaper. Even more, Spiro was willing to come back on a few occasions when we had questions or needed a touch up because we stupidly made a deep scratch in our new front door after only a day (d'oh). And on top of all that, Spiro and Dion are such nice guys. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will definitely work with them again in the future.

We had a 17 foot foyer and family room which needed the drywall reworked on the walls and ceiling and it was done magnificiently. There was much patching, spackling and sanding that needed to be done and each day William picked up and vacuumed before leaving. They were always punctual and kept the deadline even on a very large project. William is such a good listener and pays attention to details and helps the owner make decisions on what is right for their project. I cannot praise them enough!

Wockenfuss painted my house twice. The first time he did a good job the second time I had a small…read moreissue which he would not fix for me. There was a rotten strip of wood that was not repaired during the painting process. About a week after he left I found a small rotten piece of wood over the garage door. You could put your finger through it. He told me to use wood filler and then paint it. You can fill small holes not an 18 inch strip. He told me to come back it would be $550 to do the work and I had the wood. So instead of paying that ridiculous price I called my handyman and had him do the work and buy the materials. It was $216 total. Then I filed a claim with the County Board Department of Labor for the $216. Mr. Wockenfuss did not want to pay and wrote a letter stating why and never honored the warranty or his work. I consider him a poor businessman. Yes he gives a decent price but he is not a decent person. So buyer beware. If everything goes well and he can leave rotten wood where you can't see it, you will be happy with his work. Beware if you want an honorable contractor. This happened in 2022. I was going through some old papers and decided to submit this before I throw the papers away.

So we gave them a call when we needed some interior painting done. Dave was prompt and thoughtful as he inspected our project area and he was very honest in his analysis. His pricing was fair and transparent. We ended up waiting to do the interior work during colder months when he offers discounts for interior painting. He gave us a great price and scheduled the work right away. His team did an amazing job and was very respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also resolved a minor misunderstanding about paint colors with excellent customer service. We also had Wokenfus replace French doors which we had purchased most of the supplies ahead of time. They did an amazing job around the botched work of a previous contractor and made the doors look beautiful! He also provided quotes for some other interior carpentry. Unfortunately we are holding on some of that work to focus on recent water damage elsewhere. Dave seems to understand that establishing a long term trusted relationship with his clients is an important part of running his business. I hope to be able to provide an update after our exterior painting is completed.
