An order was incorrect, when the correct order arrived everyone had finished eating and the replacement dish was burnt on the outside and raw inside. We explained the problem to 3 different people asking for a refund on this one meal not eaten. The manager was too busy to come and see us. We were asked for a phone number and they would contact us. .... never heard a thing. I would no longer recommend this cafe, sad it used to be great.

It was soft and fluffy. It came with a whole fried banana and huge bacon slices. There was a couple apple and orange slices on the side. Staff were really friendly. Service was really fast. There was indoor and outdoor seating. They have a small car park in front. The outdoor seating is dog friendly.

There is even a fenced outdoor garden area with dining tables, chairs and potted plants in full bloom at the moment. The indoor area is large with a children's corner. Plenty of room for two diners and a couple of larger tables for dining groups. Since frequenting this place, I've only ever had their Butchers Big Breakfast. I absolutely love it. The poached eggs are just the right runny. The streaky bacon is crisp and the sausage is a good gourmet sausage which I would guess as being a Cumberland sausage. I usually buy their iced tea but on this visit bought their antioxidant tonic drink. If you have a sweet tooth like me, then you must try their caramel oaty slice. It is absolutely dee-lish. It is buttery, the caramel is well made and the oats give it a chewy texture...and is freshly made on site. I hate when I bite into a stale sweet treat which has been in the refrigerated cabinet too long. That has never been the case here at Butchers. As cafes go, this is moderately priced and well worth it. Their food has been has been made with care and attention. Highly recommended.

We all ordered from their cabinet and got the savoury muffin for myself and had a bit of my sister's vegetarian stuffed kumara as well as tried a bite of their bacon and egg pie. Was great to have all of these heated and plated with a stick of butter with my muffin and mayo/ ketchup with the kumara. The pie was stuffed with egg and bacon pieces which was great and the muffin was soft and also packed with vege pieces. The portions were fantastic- huge and very filling even though it wasn't a complete meal and was all tasty. They have self serve water in the corner if you aren't ordering drinks which is handy. They have great indoor and outdoor seating just behind the counter found in the main building. Small and large tables with backed chairs available for groups of several sizes and a lot of them were taken by the time we'd arrived. Looks like quite a popular place. Decent sized car park next to the seating area that you can enter through if not through the main butchers shop entrance door. If you're in the area, this is a good spot to take a break for re-fueling.

You can pick for as long as you want, eat them while you are doing so and their hours are quite long during the season. in the café there is a good selection of blueberry delights including cakes, smoothies, ice cream and you can buy more blueberries as well as those you picked. They do also have available sandwiches and paninis. We sampled the blueberry and white chocolate cheesecake......delicious ...and a blueberry smoothie. Nice!!! Can highly recommend to anyone who likes the blueberries, wants some nice relaxing activity and to get out in the sun for a while and eat as much as they want while doing so.
