She is patient, kind, encouraging and also very conversant (one time I asked her if they are trained on how to have wonderful conversations with clients). Most importantly she knew what to do with my injury and she and others on her team helped me to full recovery! When I couldn't schedule with Ciara I worked with several other team members who were great too, including Erik, Peter and Autumn. Love Riley at the front desk who is very efficient and friendly. I worked with Ciara at RISE Physical Therapy (Solana Beach) for the past year for my knees, back and hip issues. Ciara is a great Physical Therapist and does an amazing job! She is very knowledgeable, a great listener, fun to talk to and always mixes up my sessions. No PT session is ever the same and she challenges me at every session to do more than I think I am capable of doing. Ciara customizes every session based on how I am doing and always gives recommendations on ways to improve and get better. Because of her sessions, my knees have improved, and I am able to go on much longer walks and I am able to do my day-to-day activities with greater ease. My hip issues have improved dramatically. RISE in Solana Beach is a small PT office but they do a great job in their space to provide an hour of great, personalized PT care. The therapist exelente very professional she really help me to recover my mobility, unfortunately I can't say the same to the front desk receptionist, I'm think her name is Rylee in my last therapi she wasn't in her place to charge my copay ,I leave and tough I'm going to pay in my next appointment, the next day and the next day and almost every day she called me asking for the payment, i told her I'm going to pay in my next visit, finally she make and appointment and stop by she said I'm sorry today is no your appointment to get this appointment is almost one hour drive, anyway y told to her charge the amount for my last visit and cancel all my next appointments because I'm don't know when I'll be available, she said yes but she take with out my authorization my debit card and suddenly she charges 99 dollars for no reason, y called her she said are going to talk with her manager but after a month no solution, very poor costumer service and unprofessional and no ethics to make charge in your debit card for no reason, please avoid this place. I went to Rise starting in March 2023 after my 1st knee replacement. Thanks to highly effective treatment by Peter that involved massage, PT exercises, stretching and strengthening, i had a 100% recovery in my knee and within 6 months I had 138 degrees of flex. I went back to Peter in November 2023 after my second knee replacement. Not only did he repeat the success with my knee, but he was able to intuitively pinpoint issues with my hips that not only caused my original knee issues, but also caused some back issues for me. My experience at the Solana Beach location with physical therapist Gervin was excellent! First things first, the office is well located with lots of parking and the staff are well organized and super friendly, just a really good energy there. I've been to therapy several times in my life for various issues but it had never really "worked" before. Gervin gave me exercises that really addressed the multiple issues in my knee (and legs to support my knees, and really my whole body working together) so now I have way stronger muscles and I am moving more gracefully to support my knee. He also sends a personalized video of the home exercises so it's easy to remember exactly how it was done and what muscles you should feel during the exercise. Now that my therapy has concluded I'm feeling much stronger, much better, and I am empowered with the knowing what muscles target (and WHY) as I keep move forward to become more active! I was a patient of Peter's for one month before heading back home to MA. Extremely satisfied with RISE Physical Therapy. I worked with Martin Nguyen at the Solana Beach location who helped me recover from excruciating lower back pain. In 9 sessions over the course of two months I went from debilitating pain back to normal conditions. Martin took the time to assess my condition, educate me about possible underlying issues and also understand my daily routines. I was visiting the area from Delaware for 3 weeks and PT was ordered by my surgeon in order to progress to the next surgery upon my return home. I've been seeing Ciara for several months due to my recent meniscus/partial knee replacement surgery and also for some back pain. I recently injured my low back after playing several rounds of golf a few weekends ago. After asking my friends in the San Diego area, I was referred to RISE Physical Therapy. I was hesitant because I have experienced average physical therapy in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised with the one-on-one attention I received from therapist Michael! Is it too late to win the lottery and buy a private jet to escort me to RISE once a week? This facility is phenomenal compared to the one I was assigned to back home in Houston. I tore my ACL during a skiing accident in January and had surgery in May. Did I make a mistake by traveling to San Diego a few months after? Maybe. But I don't regret it one bit. My trip was full of exploration, which entails a TON of walking. I didn't realize how hard it'd be on my leg. I was in a lot of pain, had to take frequent breaks, and I felt bad for everyone I was with because it slowed them down too. I managed to snag an appointment here during my short time in San Diego because I couldn't take the discomfort anymore. When you walk into RISE, you're greeted by friendly faces and a clean & organized facility. There was even a husky there who they say supervises the office! *CRIES* She is the cutest thing!!! Martin helped and educated me with some reconditioning exercises and deconditioning prevention. Let me tell you... He's extremely kind, patient, and understanding. I felt completely comfortable in his hands and had the utmost confidence in him. He even presented some really useful home exercises that I was never provided by my facility back home. I seriously wish I lived in San Diego so this could be my new permanent physical therapy spot. You will not be disappointed. Make that appointment and be amazed. read more

RISE is the best physical therapy clinic in the San Diego area. I recently moved to San Diego, and have been dealing with some long standing knee pain I get when I hike/run. I decided to go to RISE because of their rating on yelp and I am definitely glad I did. I worked with Dr. Justin Ternes so I could run a 10k I was training for without my knee stopping me. He was awesome!! Each session was a whole hour with Justin (instead of the 15-30 mins that I've experienced with other clinics) and he emailed videos with my exercises with instructions he gave me during my treatment session. I feel even stronger than I did before going to therapy. If you have any pains that are preventing you from doing what you want to do, I recommend Justin to help you get back to what you love without pain. I was so lucky to have worked with Ling. Over the course of 12 sessions, I got stronger and stronger as a direct result of her care. I used RISE to rehab post-surgery, a left knee arthroplasty. Gervin, my physical therapist, was exception working on range of motion and proprioception. This review is bit over overdue, but provides me an opportunity to evaluate the quality of the PT after 1 year. Just got done doing 6 weeks here at RISE physical therapy in Solana Beach. I had this impinged tendinitis feeling in my shoulder for a year and four months and nothing I did would help. I worked with William for just six weeks and the pain is all but gone. He took me through a ton of exercises and even sent me videos at the end of every session to keep me on track in between seeing him. Navid is the man! After 4-5 doctors visits, inserts that didn't work, and a year and a half of pain, I am finally able to not just walk without pain, but RUN again! Plus - Chelsea (office manager) is super nice and accommodating. And if she knows you're a scatterbrain, she'll call you to remind you about your appointment! I saw Navid at a previous location for a hip injury several years ago, and when I injured my foot more recently, I followed him to RISE, and I'm so glad I did! RISE Physical Therapy is the BEST physical therapy office. I was diagnosed with a stress fracture by multiple doctors in fall of 2012, but after a year of "rest and rehabilitation" (while living in Peru), it was still getting worse. In some cases, I could hardly walk across the street! Doctors and therapists were stumped, but not Navid. Just a couple of trips to RISE Physical Therapy at the beginning of this year was enough to get me walking, hiking, and even running! Despite hundreds of road races and dozens of triathlons in my past, I'd thought my running days were over with this abnormal injury - until Navid's confidence and extensive PT knowledge guided me through my therapy and rehab. He deserves a great big ol' cookie! When I complete my first post-injury tri this fall, that's exactly what he's getting! read more

their pricing is misleading (at best). when you call in for the quote they say $150, but it is actually what you will be paying out of pocket, NOT the actual price of them seeing you for a consultation.... which by the way nobody explained properly, so when i called and asked how much the initial consultation was, the answer was $150... i took that for the price of the visit (like any normal person would)... WRONG!!!! the bill sent to my insurance was $325+ and for what?!? 30 minute visit with a PT intern (it's a "teaching practice"). anyway, when i called for an explanation the billing manager got testy and outright rude with me... so... if you want to overpay for PT and then get verbally bitchslapped by their employees, please go there... otherwise, i would not recommend them to anyone... even those who i dislike! read more

I had a difficult hip surgery that required at least four months of physical therapy, and I have had a great experience at Rise Physical Therapy. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They truly care about their clients and stay in contact with my doctor to report on my progress. When I go in to the facility he assists me with any problems that I've had the past week. Over the 6 week period, Katie created a therapy plan that was extremely effective and creative. Katie devised methods and movements specifically designed for resolving the issues I was experiencing.
