This place is a waste of time. 30 minute sessions covered by insurance, and in that time you do 20 reps, 1 set, of 4 different exercises.

The following day I had an appointment with my spine surgeon who asked me to not continue with treatment at Egoscue because it would interfere with his next steps. I contacted Egoscue the day after my initial appointment requesting that the $1370 be refunded based on my surgeons recommendation. It is impossible to reach anyone at this company first of all. The main number they list on their website just rings when you call....they don't even have a message....it just rings. I emailed the provider I had my initial appointment with and when she finally responded 4 days later she asked to speak to me in person. I was traveling at the time and again requested that the money be refunded to my credit card and explained the situation in length. This all took place on and around May 15th.....they never refunded the money. I disputed the charge with my bank and immediately was contacted by someone at the company (amazing how you can get a response so quickly if you dispute the charge). The person asked that I cancel the dispute so they could process the refund. Sadly, I believed her. I canceled the dispute and still nothing happened with the refund. This mess went on for 7 weeks and the bank ended up refunding me the money and I still have not heard a word from the company. They did send threatening text messages while the dispute was being investigated. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. THIS IS THE WORST KIND OF SCAM. I HAVE REPORTED THE COMPANY TO THE PHYSICAL THERAPY BOARD AS WELL AS THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Dr.Ammirati himself was absolutely wonderful. I was taken directly into ER / exam room and he took the time to explain what was going on in my back, showing me models and diagrams and talking in language that I, a lay person, could understand. He explained my MRI and x-ray findings at length and described what would occur during surgery as well as after. The staff was very helpful with all of the other info and logistics. Very professional and friendly. They were able to get referrals for me in the shortest time I have ever seen! They explained what I needed to do prior to surgery and walked me through everything. I was anxious and nervous and they were great...repeating info for me and making sure I had it all down on paper. Overall the experience was fantastic. I was able to walk immediately after surgery and now I am back to being active as I was before with no sign of surgery!

***please note: I am re-posting this review because Yelp's filter unfairly hid my review,…read moreapparently thinking that it was bogus. I can assure you I am not related to the doctor, he's not my friend, and I have nothing to do with his business! I put a lot of time and thought into this review, and I only did it to tell the truth.*** I could not disagree more with the firsrt reviewer. I think Dr. Rathbun is outstanding. Dr. Rathbun has been my family's physician for half a decade now, and I have nothing but good things to say. Dr. Rathbun has a quiet and gentle manner that puts children (and nervous adults) at ease. He is never pompous, abrupt, or condescending, which are traits one unfortunately sees sometimes in doctors who graduate from the best medical schools (Dr. R went to UCSD). Instead, he is patient, courteous, and calm, and appears genuinely concerned about his patients' well-being. In my experience, he approaches the patient's concerns with the seriousness appropriate to the occasion, but is never without a genuine smile and a bit of humor to lighten the mood. The first reviewer said that Dr. Rathbun rashly blurted out to her mother that she "may have cancer when there was nothing to indicate this." I mean no disrespect to that reviewer, but I find that very hard to believe; it just doesn't square at all with my experience. Here's an example: in infancy, my daughter experienced a series of unexplained ilnesses and multiple bouts of pneumonia. People started throwing around the "C" word, so when I approached Dr. Rathbun about an underlying cause, I was really scared. (Dr. Rathbun had already suggested we consider a more comprehensive approach to find out what was going on.) Dr. Rathbun was not alarmist at all. He calmly listened to my concerns, reviewed my daughter's medical history, then helped me formulate a plan for invesitgation and eventual diagnosis. Happily, it turned out she does not have cancer, but a condition that more or less resolves itself by adulthood and can be managed in the meantime with proper prevention. Throughout the diagnostic process, Dr. Rathbun was always available with a calm, practical, and reassuring response to the changing information. Here's another: a while ago, I began experiencing pressure and pain that started to interfere with my ability to run and carry the kids. Being a lifelong runner and a mother, I was worried. Of course when I finally went to see Dr. Rathbun, I was worried about the big C. As always, Dr. Rathbun calmly and patiently listened to my symptoms, asked pertinent questions, conducted a thorough exam, and then devised a plan of testing and diagnosis, starting with the simplest and most obvious and working up from there. Never once did he say, "Oh, my God, I think you have cancer!" or anything so ridiculous. He must have read that fear on my face, though, because at the close of the visit, he said with a smile, "And no, I don't think it's cancer. Nothing in your symptoms or your exam suggests that." Finally, even my husband, who HATES going to the doctor and avoids it until a body part is falling off, likes Dr. Rathbun. He was a little leery before his first visit; he said, "Isn't he a baby doctor?" But after Dr. Rathbun helped resolve a long-standing elbow problem that had plagued him for months and interfered with his push-ups, he agreed that Dr. Rathbun is pretty great. In short, in my opinion Dr. Rathbun is an excellent pediatrician and family practitioner, and I would highly recommend him.

I had an accident when I was three where I knocked the corner of a chair when I was running and the chair fell on my left eye causing it to bleed continuously. My parents brought me to urgent care where the doctor simply put a few stitches to stop the bleeding. The doctor at that time wasn't an eye specialist and the botched job caused me to have ptosis and visible scar on my left eye growing up. Two years ago when taking photos, I noticed my droopy eyelid got worse. I found Dr Abboud online from all the amazing reviews, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions in my life. Dr Abboud did a fantastic job fixing my droopy eyelid. I was worried at first because my eye blood vessel bursted the night before I'm supposed to remove my stitches, and my eye bled continuously. Dr Abboud remains available despite it being late night, calmed me and helped answered the questions from UCSD emergency room staff. He immediately identified the issue the next day I went to him and cauterized the bursted blood vessel. Despite the hiccups, the outcome is amazing. My scar at left eye fades, and my eyelid is lifted just right. Also huge shoutout to his amazing staff Celine who's been super friendly and helpful with all the paperwork for my leave.
