I've been running around preparing everything for our engagement party. I swear everything that day seemed to go wrong (another person tried to take our advanced ordered roast pig, etc etc). Then the Polynesian dancers came to rescue by relaxing me and started the fun luau. They got the groom, uncles, dad to dance on stage as well as me, my mom, aunties, cousins to dance. It was so fun and it was truly a ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience that we will never forget. The family (old & young) still talk about it. The kids were shaking their bums all night long and running around. After the performances, they also didn't rush me at all. We had about 100 people at the party and everyone was able to take pictures. I would totally hire them again! Mahalo!

Heidi was a joy to work with and I feel we've been become friends through working together. =) Our Baby Shower was on a Sunday, and since there was no events the Saturday before she let us in that event to set up. I can not tell you how much stress that took off our shoulders. We were able to take our time and not worry about it the morning off. Since my family is from out of town and we live in Gilroy, this really helped with the unloading and just overall timing of getting ready that day. PROS: - Food separate from party: My dad and uncle cooked using our own BBQ's behind the grange. We did buffet style tacos in the kitchen. I liked that this was separate was the party and it gave us more room for seating. - Tables and Chair included: The venue has plenty of rectangle tables and the comfortable plastic chairs (not the metal chairs). - Side room: perfect for kids! I made custom coloring pages and put some toys in there. There were a lot of kids there but I hardly saw any of them because this room kept them occupied. - Frig: to keep cake and fruit chilled - Restrooms: plenty, never any wait time. - Cleanliness: the place was spotless when we arrived, very pleased with the cleanliness. - Parking: on site for the event, and plenty around. - drinks: with the one day event insurance we were able to bring in our own beer and wine. No bar staff needed. CONS: - seats per table: the chairs and comfy because they are wider, but this means we were only able to fit 3 next to each other per side. This made my count of table/chairs/centerpieces off a bit as I planned 4 chairs per side per table. Not a big a deal in the end but something to think about if your tables plan to touch like ours. -No A/C: we got lucky and it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be and there are fans on the ceiling and some floor fans. But as the girl of the hour running around I was so sweaty (probably cuz I'm also 31 weeks preg) but at least the guests were comfortable. I made paper fans for guest to use just in case. Overall, we will definitely be using this venue again!

I've planned and managed several Marketing events, so I can vouch that the team at Owl Vision is bar none. From lighting to sound to general aesthetic / atmosphere, Owl Vision made our backyard wedding come to life in ways I never imagined. The team did multiple site visits to ensure that we were set up properly with power and that they could provide exactly what we needed (and more) for both the aesthetic, but also for the coordinating team, bartenders, and catering team. Owl Vision worked with our vendors throughout the process, so we didn't even have to coordinate things like arrival times and timelines. The team worked with us so personally days before the event, setting up and customizing the lighting and sound to make sure it reflected our vision. We ran several test runs at dusk and in the evening with them. When our vineyard lights didn't dim, David (owner of Owl Vision) went out and personally picked up dimmers at the store days before our event. During our wedding, we had 4 tea, members running our event: a manager, an MC, a DJ, and a lighting designer. I cannot speak highly enough of this team, who worked in the background to run the reception perfectly. Their setup was not intrusive and they were working efficiently in the background with our coordinator to monitor the timeline. We, as a couple, are big into music and were very nervous about how the night would turn out for us and our family / friends. DJ Tav Tal played exactly what we had hoped for and even accommodated all of our last-minute requests as the night evolved. The team stayed well beyond contract and even helped us turn our wedding into a silent disco. Owl Vision management stayed to make sure the silent disco was working (until well after midnight) and then arrived promptly at 10:00am the next morning to clean up. If you are looking to host an event, no matter what the occasion, do not sleep on Owl Vision. I underestimated how much lighting can transform an event and I feel so lucky to have worked with the incredible team who K N O W S LIGHTS AND MUSIC. Guests continue to rave to me about how special the atmosphere was at our event, predominantly due to Owl Vision's excellent work.

Great historical space for events!…read more I've been coming here for a few years. From book talks with the authors to soirées. Its main feature is an open auditorium and stage. There are a few cozy sitting areas as well. It has a great historical background built in 1929. A cool spot for events.

I'll share there was a bit of a wait to get a response, but now I understand how they handle each request to rent the facility. Just be patient folks. I got to tour the facility, sign a contract and kept in touch with Jennifer, who by the way is awesome! Rental fee's vary depending on what you want, for example, if you want to serve alcohol at your event, then you'll need one or two SJPD depending on the size of your event, in addition, your cost will increase. I chose the option to rent the facility for two hours 12-2p for set up (we set up 17 tables with 6 chairs) enough seating for 96 people but the facility does hold more than 96, I just don't recall what that number is. Then from 5-10p was our party and 10-11p was clean up. There was two staff on hand at the counter the whole time and were very pleasant. Shout out to Charles and Edie. We had a taco person come in and use the kitchen to serve the food. I had a sweets table, DJ, main table, backdrops and gift table. Everything was perfect. Note: No balloons are allowed - if one gets lose the ceiling is super high. Certainly not an issue for me as I was determined to use the facility and most places have restrictions in place for a reason. So if you're okay with rules/policies/restrictions there shouldn't be an issue for you when renting the facility. All in all, my experience was great and I will definitely use their facility again.

I knew exactly that I wanted to walk down the aisle to a violin playing in the background. There's something about live music, especially strings that add so much elegance and romance to the setting. For the most part, I worked only with Daphna from beginning to end. Bruce showed up ready to go at the wedding. Daphna was very professional and so pleasant to work with from the get go. Our process consisted of an initial meeting, which was a phone call in our case, and a final phone call closer to the wedding day to finalize music selections. We were not only limited to these 2 meetings, she was also available in between those times if we had any questions and she was always very responsive. Her vast knowledge in music was helpful when we couldn't decide for our recessional song. Additionally, she was more than willing to listen to our ideas and learn new music if needed. Her years of experience showed in the way she handled our questions (lots of it) and the outcome of our ceremony. I still get chills when I reflect back standing in my bridal room waiting to come out and I hear Daphna and Bruce start to play Pachebel's Canon in D.
