A True Gem!!! We have been with Rising Stars for 10 months now, working with Ms. Lulu has been a total game changer! From my daughter's first lesson, I could tell that she was in the hands of someone who not only teaches the proper technique on how to preform, but to boost her confidence on both stage and off stage. Ms.Lulu's teaching style is both encouraging and professional! Not only that, they also have an exceptional piano teacher! According to my daugther,Mr.Kendrick explains things in a way she easily understands and make piano fun for her! She improved so much! I am so glad i found Rising Stars Performing Arts. They're very patient, knowledgeable and passionate about their crafts. HIGHLY recommended to anyone looking to build their kids' solid performing arts foundation. I wish I've done it sooner!!!

** FIRST PLACE WINNERS! ** Congratulations to the "Prodigy" Kids of Rising Stars Performing Arts for winning the Grand Prize Award at St. Martha's Got Talent Show!! These exceptionally talented children lived up to the name "Prodigy" as they showcased their show-stopping singing and dancing abilities for all of us to enjoy! Special thanks to their teacher Miss Lulu whose dedication has inspired each of these children to become much more confident in performing and in life. -And to Miss Aurora for all her support, encouragement, and for making Rising Stars a place we truly look forward to visiting every week. ** FIVE STARS **

My daughter has been with Rising Stars for almost 2 years now. She was a little over 5 years old when she first started with Ms. Lulu's glee class. This class is truly amazing!! The kids not only learn how to sing and dance, but they also learn effective communication skills such as public speaking. My daughter has become so much more confident in speaking in front of an audience because of what Ms. Lulu has taught her. The kids are given so many different kinds of assignments and projects to keep their creative juices flowing. Such projects include virtual talent shows, commercial challenges, lip sync battles, cooking shows, fashion shows and many more. Ms. Lulu is always encouraging the kids to develop their presentation and performance skills by engaging them in these activities. She truly cares about the kids and their learning experiences. Ms. Lulu is also my daughter's voice teacher. She plays a big role in helping develop my daughter's voice while also incorporating performance skills and stage presence. My daughter has improved so much and this wouldn't have been possible without Ms. Lulu's teaching. Daniel is one of the choreographers for the glee class and he is also amazing! He breaks down the dance routines for the kids so that they are easier to follow. The kids have a lot of fun learning to dance with Daniel. Ms. Vanessa is my daughter's piano teacher and she, too, is amazing. She is sweet, kind, and patient. My daughter has learned so much under her guidance. Finally, Ms. Aurora is probably one of the sweetest person I have met. She runs the studio but she is still actively involved in the students' learning. You will see her every now and then peeking through the window and watching the kids. Ms. Aurora and her son created and produced a musical for the summer theater program and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommended this studio!!! There is so much to gain and so much to learn from all the teachers!!! The classes are so much fun and everyone treats you like family.

It has been a year since we joined Rising Stars. Summer of 2021 was when we first came across Rising Stars. At first, our intention was to look for an activity that our daughter could enjoy over the summer hence, we enrolled her in private voice lessons with Ms. Talar. Ms. Talar is a great teacher! My daughter loved attending lessons and really learned a lot from her including warm-up routines, different exercises to improve vocal range and breathing techniques. Aside from her private lessons, she also had the chance to be a part of last year's summer program which I think was called "Heroes of Harmony". In the said program she was able to sing with other kids, act, and she even did a duet with one of the girls in the group. Then, we stopped going to the studio when school officially started. After a month (or two) we received a call/ text from Ms. Aurora asking if we wanted to try Glee. We didn't know what to expect but did it anyway and to my surprise, our daughter enjoyed every minute of it! A year later, and we're still here. Not to hyperbolize this narrative, but putting my daughter in glee class has been one of the best decisions ever! Aside from being in glee, she is now doing private voice lessons with Ms. Lulu and Hip-Hop class with Chasity & Ianna. Ms. Lulu has helped my daughter understand how to use proper breath support, how to project her voice, increase vocal range and improve stage presence. Above all, my daughter's training with Ms. Lulu (voice) and Chasity & Ianna (Dance) has helped release her inhibitions, develop self-confidence and improve social skills. If I may add, Ms. Aurora is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met! Thank you for introducing Glee to us. We highly recommend this studio!

This screenshot proves that this school is disorganized, cancelling class and performances last minute.

So rising stars flagged my post and told Yelp I was never a customer. I have Zelle receipts and can post those too. Red flag: if the owner's daughter (and teacher at this school) has to flag down honest reviews exposing her unprofessional, tacky behavior by being dishonest and telling Yelp I was never a customer isn't already a concern for potential customers, let me enlighten you further... Lulu is a disaster! She is highly disorganized and utterly unprofessional. She canceled multiple shows last minute, after we had already told our family about the event. She told my kid's class they were performing at the West Covina spring festival. The kids practiced for weeks! Mine practiced at home almost everyday to prepare. I texted Aurora (her mom and the owner) the day before the event asking for the exact time they would be performing, and only then did I and other parents find out that it was canceled (not the event, just our slot). The same thing happened with the Chinese New Year performance for Walnut and other performances. Do you guys not understand that we tell our families and friends about events like these? No? Or is it just that you don't value our time and patronage? We were in this class for four months and it took her 3.5 months to add me to the WhatsApp chat after telling me multiple times she would do it. The screenshot message is from the day we all came to class on a Friday afternoon to find the studio closed. Multiple parents texted her and found out then and there that she was in Hawaii!! Her excuse was that it was her dads birthday and she decided not to get a sub! Ummm okay? Why couldn't you tell us any other time before you were already in Hawaii and we had driven all the way to the studio? Pretty sure you've known your dads birthday and vacation were coming up . Lol. Again, proof they have no respect for their paying customers' time and patronage. After this incident, I texted Aurora and expressed that I was done, and that our experience was disappointing to say the least. I asked for a pro rata refund for the class, and she obliged. I would have left it at that. Then Lulu texted me a flurry of drunk-like messages talking about "the daughter is the problem just like the mom." Lmao. She wouldnt dare say that to my Face. To stoop so low as talking crap on a 7 year old child (who btw worshipped her) proves how tacky and unprofessional she is. Ironically enough, she "the daughter" is the problem and NOT her mom. Too bad she has to drag her mom's business down with her. I can be real petty and post a video (or several) of you (Lulu) singing off key so parents can make informed decisions of whether or not they want their kids to take singing lessons with someone who can't hold a note. Anyways, I don't play about my daughter. Now you know. Finally if you, as a parent reading this, think that this is an isolated incident, and that she wouldn't possibly behave that way towards you and your child-- I urge you to reconsider. What these screenshots demonstrate is character- or lack thereof. Someone who would verbally attack a child out of drunken rage is NOT fit to teach children at any capacity. At least not mine-- what you accept for your child is up to you.

We have been with RSPA since Feb 2020 and I would say with certainty that it has been a great experience for my daughter and for us as parents, to see her build her self-confidence and character and improve her talents/skills while she shines on stage. My daughter is with Ms. Lulu's Glee class where they get trained with singing, dancing, acting, modelling, public speaking, script read through, product presentation and hosting. Ms Lulu spend a considerable extra time for practices during the week outside of our usual schedule to train these kids when she knows that they need more time to learn and gain that skill and confidence needed on stage, which we really appreciate. When outdoor events started coming back, she was a busy bee scheduling events and activities so the kids can showcase their talents and keep them active and flourishing. She is an amazing and a very caring teacher. The 1st event that my daughter participated in was at a prestigious fashion show at the Sheraton. And I was surprised on how good she was at the runway! She was so confident and graceful and I didn't know how much she loved the limelight until that day! She is quite shy on a normal day. And she told me that it was the best day ever and wished she could do it over and over again! Hearing this from her made me feel that all the effort and time and money spent was all worth it. We have been to a lot of events after that and celebrated holidays together with the other kids and parents at the studio like a family, and all of them creates beautiful memories we would cherish in the future. We love everybody here as they are all good, friendly, helpful and talented. We highly recommend this place to anymore who wants to see their child grow in extra-academic activities.

We have been with Rising Stars for almost a year now and I couldnt be happier that I enrolled my daughter with them. She takes her private vocals with Ms Lulu. Ms Lulu is the best teacher, coach, mentor ever. From the first time I met her I knew she can train my daughter really well. She pours her heart out everytime and she pushes all the kids to be their best. My daughter is also in the glee class where they get trained singing, dancing as a group to be a total performer! Recently they started the summer program for kids where they trained the kids to sing, dance, model, act and a lot more to be a total entertainer in front of a crowd!!! These kids are given a lot of opportunity to perform in big events. My daughter had the opportunity to perform twice already at Miss Philippines USA and she also modelled for them twice already, they also get to perform in different shows with a lot of talented artist!!!! Im so thankful for my Rising stars family for the best training my daughter gets through them. My daughter just love to be at the studio all the time and she enjoys all the performances that they have.

Kawika was easy to work with and very friendly. He told me he hadn't actually thrown a back yard luau in a long time because he gets booked up with corporate gigs so much. I felt honored his troop was able to accommodate me. I had a little idea of what his group did, but when the young man came out and started blowing on the conch shell, I knew we were in for a treat! The music was amazing! So pleasing to the soul and expertly performed. I've been to Hawaii numerous times and this was on par or better than anything I heard on my previous trips. While they were setting up I had Hawaiian music playing and I overheard Kawika singing along with it... Such an amazing voice. His son was equally impressive. When the dancers came out everyone gasped with awe! The had various costume changes and audience participation. It was my first time doing hula... And it showed! Thankfully I had a few glasses of liquid courage to get me to shake my bum! If you're considering a luau you should definitely consider this group! 2026 Season - April 4, 2026 - May 17, 2026…read more This visit applies strictly to the very last day of the season - May 17, 2026 As a first-timer to any Renaissance Pleasure Faire, there was a lot of anticipation on my part, having seen numerous videos on social media & YouTube. As always, I think the best policy is always to curb any & all expectations. Parking - Perhaps my biggest criticism of my entire experience. This is a rather specific situation that pertains strictky to ADA Handicap Parking. There is a specific lot that is designated for handicap parking - Lot 3 of the Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area (where the Ren Faire takes place). However, Lot 3 is situated farther than most parking = you have to walk much farther away than most of the other guests. It's ironic in that ADA Handicap Parking should allow you to be closer to the event's entrance. Perhaps the only advantage to parking in this distant lot is that your car will not be caught in the middle of the chaos of everyone else trying to leave. It very evident that this was an oversight when faire organizers made decision to have the event take place at Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area. If there's a way to modify this for future seasons, this would be the biggest improvement that they could make. FOOD Tri-Tip Sandwich ($18) - 6.0/ 10 It's to be expected, but you're definitely going to be paying for more than what you receive - inflation, labor costs, etc. That said, it's fairly hard to mess-up tri-tip. It's not necessarily dry, but the drizzle of bbq sauce helps. Frankly, I wished I asked for more bbq sauce (on the side). The tri tip is served in a roll that's slightly wider than a hot dog bun. It wasn't anything to "write home about", but it's seemed like a better option than most. 1 sandwich is only substantial enough to be a snack. Granted, I walked a good 10 minutes (to the jousting arena) before enjoying my sandwich, I think it would had been helpful if it was served much warmer. French Fries - 6.0 / 10 It's french fries. I will say that the portion is very generous. There was more than enough for me & my friend, so I'd even say it'd be enough fro 3-4 people, assuming it's being shared as a side. Again, maybe it's because I waited a good 10 minutes (buying a beer, walking over to the jousting arena) before enjoying the fries, but it might have been helpful if they could be served a bit warmer. They were still pretty crispy (more on the well-done side, which I prefer). Just some things to note (especially as a 1st timer): - Dress-Up. You're in the 16th Century / Elizabethan Era. So knights, nobleman, peasants, merchants, inn-keepers, plague doctors. But basically, in 2026 at least, anything that isn't "modern" (the past 100 years) is fair game. You can literally see almost anything & it wouldn't seem too out-of-pocket. Yeah, you'll get some strange looks & comments, but people get over it fairly quickly. Just dress-up. - Try to speak "in-character". Whatever it is that you decide to go as, try to "play the part". The volunteers / workers will respond to you accordingly & will "play along". Embrace it & have fun. - The focus of the faire is the shops. That's fine. Get your shopping-on & support these vendors. But there's also many games / activities (archery, axe throwing, dunk tank, how long you hang on a bar, etc.), manually-powered rides, performance shows, & craft activities (making chain mail, sewing, casting coins, & other cool stuff). Like anything else, you get what you put in. Bring your enthusiasm & pack your patience. Also knowing what I know now, I'm definitely going to focus more on my next visit with more investment in my costume (granted I came dressed as a humble peasant).
