Open Advanced is definitely it. Thanks to the staff, I felt as much at ease as possible, which isn't always easy considering the pressure of having to hold very still and breathe shallowly while a scan is being done. One of my scans had to be done three times because I had somehow found a way to move. Still, the MRI Tech was very patient and coached me through. It was like having my own personal cheerleader for a bit. :) In the event I need another scan, I'll head back!

I was a patient for many years and luckily I had good insurance that covered the fee of $650+ per service. All of a sudden I receive a generic letter that states in network patients will only be seen if they pay a $390 "membership fee" on top of whatever co/pays one has. It was also noted that out of network patients don't apply to this rule. Out of network doesn't apply because they have to pay the full amount of their visit to Diagnostic Imaging. This letter was very easy to read between the lines what this facility wants.

I arrived 15 minutes early as directed, to complete the paperwork, and by the time I was finished with that, they were waiting to take me for my MRI. The tech I had was great! I have very small ear canals and always have difficulties getting the ear protection to fit in my ears. It took me probably 5 minutes to get the darn earplugs inserted, but she was very patient and understanding. I think AKUMIN is a great place for your radiology needs! Michelle M
