I don't know if this was an honest mistake (perhaps they upped their prices and forgot to update the menu) or if it was intentional (most people won't notice a one Euro price difference on a cocktail) but it's the principle of the matter. Being presented with a wide spanning menu felt completely unnecessary, as within moments of sitting down, the chef came out of the kitchen to greet and tell about the house specialties. The middle aged Italian man was dressed very cleanly and despite little knowledge of English, provided a better recommendation than one could ever desire from yelp or from the menu itself, which still laid untouched on the table. The prosciutto bruschetta was bursting with flavor of fresh, ripe tomatoes that gave off the sweetness of a cherry, the fullness of sun ripening and the flavor that can only be experienced in a dream. The paccheri pasta looked as beautiful as it tasted, in a pleasant green color and the flavor profile that one can only experience in select establishments. Don't believe the review about the pizza. You are simple paying for an overly expensive, glorified bread that barely has topics and cheese. See my pictures. The pizza is small and cost 30-50% more than other places. In some cases, I don't even know if you can call it a pizza. I should have know when it's prime dinner time and there's only one other table. By the lack of gimmicks, I mean that every unusual element, be it presentation, molecular gastronomy, or smoke had a purpose that enhanced the taste. The total experience was FUN. The service was very attentive, very relaxed, and very friendly. This extended particularly to the wine pairing--I learned a lot about local grapes and wine from the sommelier. The restaurant is beautiful--you are enveloped in a special place. In summary, President deserves its 2nd Michelin star and you will not find a better total experience.
