Some of the best house prosecco I had while in Parma. Delicious torte fritte, parmigiano and tortelli. We enjoyed the service and the food.

We arrived around 10 minutes before the doors opened for lunch, and our party of 7 was seated immediately. We ordered and most of our plates arrived quickly. For some reason, one plate of lasagna arrived 15 minutes after the other dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, and the outdoor seating in the plaza was lovely!

We sat outside in the Piazza Guiseppe Mazzini. The end of May weather was perfect for outdoor dining. We tried to call and make reservations in advance but could not get through for whatever reason. So we arrived when they opened at 7:30 pm, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant filled up quite quickly. From beginning to end, the service was incredibly efficient. This restaurant operates like a well-oiled machine. To start with, I had a glass of Ferrari sparkling wine and my dining companions went with the St. Germain Spritz. All our drinks were very good. We started with the large board as an appetizer, which came with a variety of cured meats and fried gnocchi. We thought the large board was going be too much for our group of four, but we ate it quite quickly. It was the perfect amount, so don't be shy and order the bigger size if you are on the fence. The fried gnocchi was light and was such a different accompaniment for charcuterie. And the cured meats were high quality. The board was the star of the show. My dining companions ordered the lasagna, the bolognese, tortellini la crema. When I asked my dining partners how they'd rate their meals, the tortellini and the bolognese rated 8 out of 10 and the lasagna a 7. Everyone finished their plates, which speaks for itself. I ordered the Argentine filet with grilled vegetables. It was excellent -- perfectly cooked and well seasoned. We finished our meals off with some of the strongest, most concentrated espresso I've had in my life. Our visit to Una D'Oro was fabulous. I'd recommend a visit if you are looking for a dinner spot in Modena.

We me the chef, Enzo, at a Ferrari event across town. The man running the event introduced us and…read moreurged us to go to his restaurant for the best meal in town. He then told Enzo to take care of his "new" friends. We decided that an offer like that can't be missed so we went there for lunch the nest day. My friend decided to give Enzo our go-ahead to bring out whatever he thought would put a smile on our faces. As you can see from the photo I posted, Enzo was table-side a lot, asking about preferences and potential allergies. We were treated to course after course of great, locally-sourced dishes, every one would be a signature dish for eateries over here in the USA. For example, he sprinkled Parmesan cheese on our risotto (etherial!) and added "aged thirty six months" - and it was rich, creamy and memorable. This small place deserves your attention and a high rating from anyone who understands what it takes to run a memorable restaurant that delivers quality, fair-priced food. In Maranello, the debate is always - Cavallino or Montana - the two most famous restaurants in town. Each has their fans - especially given their Ferrari-centered reputation (Ferrari big-wigs have a private dining room in Cavallino, F1 drivers have memorabilia all over the walls in Montana). However, having eaten at these other excellent places, this place beats them for service, taste, and price. Go, eat, you'll thank me later!
