Standard bread service but three different types of bread was nice. Burrata and calamari appetizers were good. Burrata was the better of the two. The calamari was nothing special. Tomato soup was excellent. All of the pasta dishes were fresh, hot, and delicious. My truffle pasta was very good. Creamy, hot, and the fresh truffles were excellent. Luckily they found one small table for the three of us, but otherwise, the inside and outside dining was overflowing. They also speak little to no English so hopefully you speak German. I think we only go the table because the maitre'd figured giving us a table was easier than trying to figure out what I was saying. Haha! While not as amazing as the two other places I reviewed in Berlin that were also Italian, it was pretty good. We ordered the margherita pizza to start and it tasted good. Sadly it asked for it crispy or well done and they couldn't understand so it was not undercooked but pale as heck. The carbonara was okay but had cream - a big no, no - and was too heavy to finish. The chicken verde (a green peppercorn sauce) was very good and I would highly recommend it. The spaghetti bolognese was pretty good but not as good as other places we tried in Berlin. Like most places in Berlin, they refuse to give you free tap water, so you have to buy flat or sparkling mineral water. If you speak German sometimes you can get tap water, which is just perfectly fine, but they will tell you at most places it is awful and they won't give it to you. They did this here, too. Anyway, wasn't gonna fight about it. Back to the food. We had three entrees. We had a carbonara, and even if the picture looks slightly odd to you maybe, it was amazing and one of the best we've ever had in the world. My kid was in heaven. And they firmly state they don't make it with cream, as it's supposed to be made. Really killer! Also had the fettuccine con gamberi, which was also amazing.
