It was full on the Friday night and, many of the customers were known to the staff, which is always a good sign. The wine list here is excellent and the prices even better. Many of the wines are aged and almost all the wine we had (and we had a lot :-)) was under €30 a bottle which is rare for wines that are up to 10 years old. For this alone I would give the place five stars :-))) The food here is also good. Ok, so my steak was a little bit too salty but, it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were ok and the salad they served with it was divine. We also shared a cheese plate which was really nice, with a spicy jam / sauce, that complemented the cheese beautifully :-)) The hosts here are wonderful and they made recommendations and took care of our needs and, of course very Italian. They let us hang around as long as we wanted (and we did) and asked us to come back again, to which we said, of course :-)) I will definitely be back here to enjoy some wonderful wine and a meal with friends :-))

As others noted, the servers spoke mostly Italian but with a smattering of English, German, and Italian we were ok :) It's good to know that there are very few tables--mostly high-tops--and a decent sized bar, so large parties will not fit but it's worth a visit for smaller parties!

You get the food fairly quickly and the prices are at the high end of reasonable (around 7€ for a lunch plus drinks, so just over 10€ including a small glass of wine). Sadly I rarely remember the names of the dishes but thankfully I usually have at least one Italian with me who can hypothesize what food we may be getting (some of the names are apparently peculiar even to them).
