I don't know which one is authentic but I don't really like the texture of this one. Lake fish sampler also great on seasoning but then again some fishes have small bones which I didn't like. So if small bones bother you like me, I suggest don't order this dish. Also order "Miascia" with figs jam and pumpkin ice-cream. Which tasted balance with ice cream and taste of fig jam. We ended up getting seated right at the edge of the vine-covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Salita Serbelloni which just gave such a romantic vibe overall. All of the food we had was phenomenal. We started with the roasted octopus and potato gnocchi, both of which were very tasty with great flavors. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and I also loved the ragu sauce that went with the gnocchi. Then, my fiance and I had their fish of the day which they cook up in front of you, and it was served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes. They brought me a fresh towel... and then likely judged me harshly behind closed doors... sorry folks, bad American manners but it was HOT! FORTUNATELY, they have lovely massive umbrellas outside to sit under, and they helped immensely! They have a wonderful menu, both in Italian and English. They have very accommodating staff that are quick to tell / share of their favorite menu items (I love it when they do this!). I actually chose my meal based on their recommendation. Forgive me for not remembering what I ordered. I did start with a salad... heads-up folks, if you start with a "starter salad"... it is enough for an entire meal! They recommended wine. We sat outside in their beautiful courtyard, we didn't order a wine pairing, but the sommelier was there to help some people in my group order glasses to pair with their dishes, and the service was fantastic. They also had some of the best bread that I had throughout our 2 weeks in Italy. We ordered the shrimp risotto, the tagliolini, the pigeon, the lobster, and the peach and berry dessert. The shrimp risotto was absolutely fantastic--this is a MUST order. The tagliolini was great, but the olives they used were quite bitter. Nevertheless, my fiancée loved it. The lobster was the same way--delicious. The pigeon was also lovely--reminded me of duck. The highlight was definitely the dessert though. I don't remember the name, but came with a berry sauce, cardamom ice cream, and a fruit medley. For something so seemingly simple, it was delicious, fresh, and the perfect ending to a meal. Shoes not like children. We were a group of four adults and four children (ages 6-14) on our way to the beach. The kids were hungry, and since this was the closest restaurant, we decided to stop in for a quick bite before swimming, planning to have a larger meal afterward. From the moment we arrived, it felt like she was annoyed that we had children with us (Our children knows how to eat in a restaurant, they come from a family of fine dining chefs (their dad) they do not only eat chicken nuggets and fries) before we sat the waiter said we don't have kids food, or maybe that we weren't going to order a full meal. There was a whole menu but was told there's only a few items available. It even gave the impression that she assumed we couldn't afford the restaurant, which was uncomfortable, especially when she stands there and STARE at your table while you dine. What made the experience worse was watching her check on the other tables with a warm, friendly tone while treating us very differently and cold. The contrast was noticeable and made us feel unwelcome. As for the food, we ordered a bottle of water because we had our own personal water bottles and was told we're not allowed to drink it there, we ordered three buttered pasta dishes for the kids (which were actually the best items we had on the menu, ravioli, which was disappointing, and the salted cod. While I understand it's supposed to be salty, both the cod and the red sauce were overwhelmingly salty to the point that it affected the dish. Sadly, because of the poor hospitality, we would not return. Good service should make every guest feel welcome, regardless of whether they're ordering a light meal or a full dinner. Leaving me to NOT RECOMMEND such a rude place. There's lots of other friendlier restaurants and better food.
