Portion sizes were beyond generous - check out the Vitello Milanese. We also tried the veal meatballs, the octopus, and the lamb chops. All were beautifully prepared, fresh, and flavorful. We were too stuffed for dessert, so our waiter whipped out a bottle of Sauternes. Their rolls came out warm with a side of butter, also delicious and had a nice bite to it. I went with the Linguine Gigi, and asked if it could be prepare with no mushrooms. Totally no issues, and when it came out it was piping hot, al dente to perfection, and the sauce was so tasty I almost took the last roll and drug it through the bowl. (I didn't!) my colleague went with chicken parm, came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. For dessert my colleague had the tiramisu. I got the chocolate mousse. Mine was plated beautifully and was light; flavorful, and insanely delicious. My colleague was so happy he chose the tiramisu. I wish I caught names, but I'll do it next time. The portion was a bit small and I would have liked if it came with some vegetables or a side. The restaurant was a bit loud, but it was a Saturday night. Overall a nice meal with good food, just go in knowing the portions are on the smaller side.

That exactly happened as the meal got worse. Then came the pastas, this was supposed to redeem everything. It didn't. The tagliatelle was cut in what seemed 5 different sizes, looked like pasta scraps. Looking beyond that the mushrooms were gritty and pretty dirty. Not a great taste again. Not really seasoned, just oil and dirt. The dish looked like a rush job, an after thought for a restaurant that prides itself on pasta. There was also the ravioli, which was also rushed as some of the pasta was undercooked. It was hard, and crunchy. Again, not a good mouth feel experience. My wife flagged the server down again, and we were dismissed again, they said "our pastas are generally cooked that way" Undercooked? Yikes. I'm not done yet, then came the beef. Preparation continued to be an issue as it was so tough we couldn't eat it all. Chew chew fest. We had half a plate of food untouched and the server came to say, "I'm all done for the night, bye." He knew we were disappointed left and right, dismissed us as it being our problem, and then bailed. New server didn't come until he was forced to clear our half eaten plate. No desert was offered, and we never got that bread... Needless to say I was excited to come back, and now we will never come back. I was also excited about the other restaurants, which we will never go to either. After $100+ per person, we left the restaurant still hungry :( We've sent dozens of people to Nora Gray over the years, and that will cease as well. Don't go, there's so many other places in Montreal that won't gaslight you when they mess up. Or just, won't mess up this way in the first place. We sent a email to avoid a public negative review. They said they "unfortunately don't remember it that way." More gaslighting and deflecting the problem. Don't worry, I'll make sure you're reminded. This review is a reminder of our experience, since you all seemed to have forgotten so quickly. Stay away. Buyer beware.

Chicken Parmesan - (8/10) - same here for this entree. The chicken was cooked just perfect with a good crispy outer layer covering the chicken. The pasta seemed like it was a cheese filled pasta, and I would have personally preferred a spaghetti with my chicken Parmesan. We had a large party of 20 people and they accommodated us and provided great service throughout the evening. The servers were constantly checking on us, refilling our water, and taking our drink orders. Overall, great visit to this Italian restaurant!

The Caesar was well dressed but crisp and delicious. It was nice and salty from the anchovies and Parmesan with crunchy croutons for added texture. The meatballs served with marinara were AMAZING. I'm not a huge meat eater but hello, these were delicious, tender, and the marinara was killer. The carbonara was great, had chewy bucatini to capture the sauce, was creamy, had crisp bits of salty guanciale, and lots of cracked black pepper. The tiramisu was the hubby's decision so while I partook in a bite, I was so full. However, the coffee soak mixed with the amaretto and mascarpone cream was superb. The service was top notch, chairs comfortable, food amazing, and overall design was chic without being over the top.
