I was a little unsure of what to expect but was absolutely delighted with my treatment and have since been back twice! The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel very welcome. I should mention that this place is not your typical "spa". I wouldn't go so much to relax, but more to be given an exceptionally good pedicure that leaves your feet feeling baby soft and perfect! This place is a little out of the way, it's now in Chapelizod village but worth travelling out to! Also very good value. Highly recommended! :)

I did not really expected anything besides a nice hour or so, but it was really great. The salon is located in Chapelizod so I was not familiar with the area but it is not very far from Phoenix Park and can be easily reached by the bus 66 from the city centre; if you're driving, there is free parking right in front. I booked beforehand and the service was attentive and polite, followed by a text confirming the booking, date and address with bus/routes tips. Nice touch! Getting there, they are located inside an artificial tanning establishment called "Sun beds". The place is small but it does the job well. There are the usual gossip magazines - which I gladly skip - and some comfy seating while you wait. I saw that they do several promotions, display products for sale and that the environment is relaxed. There were 2 people working; a man and a woman. It seemed a bit unusual but the man was doing feet treatment in several woman and he seemed very professional. After 15 mins wait I was greeted by Gemma. She was very friendly and very well-mannered. As I had arrived a bit earlier she decided to help me then, leaving her break for later; even though I said she did not have to do it and I could wait but she gladly did it, again being very professional. She took me to a corner where they have a massage bed (those with a whole to pop your head through......i'd love one of those for myself!) and a thin blanket. She massaged my feet with nice oils and fragrances and wrapped them in hot mittens and left it heating up for about 20 mins - it was soft and warm. Meanwhile she showed me the colours that were available for the tint process and applied it all very slowly and carefully. I had a full head/scalp massage - which stimulates hair growth - and my brows were trimmed just the way I normally do it - as she was asking if it was okay for me every now and then with the mirror. Also some more essential oils and a lovely mist were sprayed on my face right after the exfoliation. During the whole time I had headphones on with relaxing music to help me chill out. By the time you are thinking "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I want this to last forever" it is over...I was feeling energized and happy. She gave me their price list and 2 cards that I can give to people I refer and they can get a massage/hot mittens/pedicure treatment for 39 euro. Plus she gave me plenty of water advising me to drink more and more at home as the massage tends to make your body really need the 2 litres a day. Lovely experience and I can't recommend it more!

The place is so calm and soothing and everything is spacious and new and clean and lush and expensive feelings, even the changing rooms. I really cannot wait to go back here for a half day spa experience. However I did come here for a 90min facial called the VOYA Organic Environmental Defence Facial the usual price for this is € 115.00 but I had a special offer of 50% off, otherwise I would never have been able to afford it! The facial was lovely, lots of nice smelly creams, oils and lotions and potions when on my face and then some sea weed. I got a really quick dry body brush on my back and then a short mild massage and then it was over! I was a little disappointed! There was no steaming or extracting or anything special and it was only 60 min long! It was really nice and relaxing and all that but I was so happy I didn't spend the 115 euro!

On arrival we were led to the changing room to change into our robes before our treatments but when we walked in two men were working on a light in the corner of the room. The receptionist told us that they would only be a few minutes but the men showed no signs of finishing anytime soon. We waited for a few minutes to see if they would finish up but as we had to get back upstairs for our treatments we just had to get changed in the cubicles provided. In my opinion the men should have been asked to step outside while we were getting changed as not only would this have taken a few minutes but there was a lot of banging, not exactly what you expect when you go to a spa. Also, we were asked to share a locker when the receptionist realised that we were together. Initially we agreed but when we saw how small the lockers were we couldn't actually fit our stuff in so we had to take two. We did think it was an odd request though given the sheer volume of empty lockers available. The treatments we had were lovely. The therapists were really nice and had a little chat before starting the treatments to make sure we got what we wanted. The thermal suites were nice too, with an outdoor jacuzzi, indoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna and heated chairs along with a relaxation room to chill out in. The one thing that struck me about the place though was the amount of background noise...banging in the changing rooms, a lot of people walking around outside the relaxation room and people talking outside the treatment room. This, for me, was the deal-breaker! When I go to a spa I want quiet surroundings and a sense of calm. With these type of places I think it's all about the little extras and this place was definitely lacking those special touches. The place definitely showed signs of needing a little work done here and there too. With so many nice spas in close proximity to Dublin I would be more inclined to go somewhere else before returning here again. I gave it three stars because the treatment was lovely but I did contemplate giving it two because I didn't get that 'spa experience' I was hoping for. It wasn't a bad experience per se but it definitely wasn't good enough for me to return.

I opted for the 'Girls Day Out' pamper package which consists of a 25 minute back, neck and shoulder massage, a mini discovery facial and a mini manicure and pedicure. The treatment rooms are lovely, really spacious. The relaxation room would have been relaxing if there wasn't a really noisy gang chatting away when I was there (this is a particular pet hate of mine). The massage and facial were lovely, and I would recommend them to a friend. The mini manicure and pedicure, however, left a lot to be desired. The mini manicure was just a paint. I asked for a french manicure and honestly I would have done better myself. The staff were lovely. Lunch was included and consisted of soup, sambo if your choice and tea/coffee or prosecco. Neither the treatments or the food would bring me back here in a hurry though, not with the great selection of other spas within driving distancr of Dublin.
