Feels somewhat silly to write a review for a place going out of business but I do have to chime in and say I'm going to miss Rite Aid. During the initial Covid vaccine roll out they reliably had appointments and I was able to get all my family in to one location or another, which was a relief since I worked about all of them more than me! My aunt came to this particular location and my mom and I came for moral support (and literal physical support cos the lady faints from needles) and the folks in the pharmacy were really lovely and accommodating (she didn't quite faint this time but was close, and they did a great job grabbing a cold bottle from the coolers to hold against her neck to keep her up). Everything in this store is currently 40-50% off so I did one more walk through to see what was left and/or purchase some things on a discount. I got some cleaning supplies, deeply discounted Duracell batteries, a little car vacuum, and somebody care stuff for 50% off. If you're seeing this any time around August 16th, 2024 I highly recommend stopping in here or your nearest location to stock up before they're all gone. read more

The pharmacist (I presume and not the tech) was unreasonably rude to me today during the entire encounter with her but the important part is that when I asked about the USE OF THE MEDICATION. She told me none of the 3 (2 pain meds and 1 muscle relaxant) were for what I was told by the prescribing doctor they are used for. I now realize that the "muscle relaxant" can also be used for issues of constipation, but she simply told me the medical terms for the medications without applying the context I gave her and disregarding my questions very flippantly. The person who I was picking up the prescription for has been taking pain meds for a while and I did not want to give anymore medications than needed to protect his liver. Anyway, I asked the other pharmacist (kind older woman) the same question but the evil one butted in that she "already told me" in an aggressive manner. The kind one said I could call the pharmacy with questions about the medications but I was treated with such hostility that I am too uncomfortable to do so. -unimportant, but still wanted to share. She told me to wait 15-20 min and I came back around 12 minutes just to see if things finished early and asked "is it still some-more time? Okay." And she remarks "it hasn't been 15-20 min like I said right? Yeah its going to take that full time." In a rude tone. This is all poor etiquette when dealing with people clearly in sensitive situations to need to visit a pharmacy. read more

I came in to the area from out of state because my mother just passed away, and I was carrying a prescription. The pharmacy staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and since this medicine was not covered by my insurance, and I even searched and found a discount card for me bringing the cost down. I had not asked them to do this, it was self directed kindness. The store was not overly busy so I did not have to wait long in any lines. I needed gallons of water because the farm I'm staying on has terrible taste in well water, and they had better prices than I've seen most local markets for this item. When I went to check out, again the service was outstanding. No waiting, exceptionally friendly, and I purchased some bottles of wine, which they bagged very safely for me. I am a physician with 40 years of experience. I recently switched all of my prescriptions to this store from the CVS down the street. Why? Because the staff at the CVS pharmacy are over worked, overwhelmed, stressed, and have made mistakes on my prescriptions. They are being asked to do too much and communicate poorly. This is unsafe. The staff at the pharmacy section of this store are calm, friendly, competent, communicate well, don't appear stressed, and behave how I expect fellow healthcare professionals to behave. Much less likely to make mistakes. This is becoming a rare thing for chain pharmacies. They now have my business. read more

The pharmacists at the Plymouth Road Rite Aid are wonderful and have been taking care of my needs for years. I trust them completely and they not only are careful with my meds, they also search for ways for me to get discounts. I highly recommend this pharmacy. read more

Get a call from the pharmacy a medication I take daily is "on back order" but, I can go to the pharmacy that has it, in other state about four hours away. Not that THEY can get it sent to the one here. I can go fetch it. Um. No. Changing to a different company. read more

Usually pretty empty so I make an effort to go there and fill my prescriptions there. Regretfully, though they have a wide selection of wine, I will no longer buy wine there again. The last two bottles I bought there had gone bad. I'm bunch better off going to Kroger and paying an extra dollar. Too bad. read more

Make sure you get a free rite aid card otherwise everything costs an arm and a leg. It's pretty stupid. The card is free, but it's a waste of space in your wallet and key chain. read more

My girlfriend has been picking up medication from you guys for a while now. she came in today, and the last time she came in she said her meds were a little short. When she came in today and said something about it she was blown off and told she should have been On top of it herself. Now I can understand the lady that told her this dosent understand how busy my girlfriend gets, but to act like that was something to blow off was wrong, and to tell her "yeah you should have" when she brought up calling about the pills missing, was disrespectful and uncalled for. She needs those meds and they give her that amount to for a reason. I don't care if it was one pill that was missing she need that medication to be comfortable functioning through the day. blowing off that there was some missing was unprofessional by someone who works with medicine regardless of the Severity of what she has going on. Do better when dealing with people you don't understand when they are coming to get something vital to them. read more

Beware of the pharmacy here. I am a healthcare provider and am aware of how prescriptions are ordered and reasonably insurance savvy (as a prescriber and occasional patient). As an observer (of other customers) and several times first hand, this pharmacy just will not take ownership of their mistakes. Errors and mistakes in billing are made, and even when confronted with irrefutable written evidence (like, the prescription says this but you gave me a different medication; or just billed the wrong insurance altogether), the pharmacist will claim you gave them the wrong info or the physician did. If you are sharp and willing to double check everything, go to this pharmacy. They will fix their mistakes, but they will be rude, and you will be blamed. Anyway, after the third mistake (not to mention my last visit I saw how they treated the clearly upset older lady who still couldn't get her diabetes meds that her physician had sent over - for the third time), I'm leaving. read more

I stop in today for some very healthy snacks of Cheez Its and M&Ms because I wasn't feeling a Lean Cuisine for lunch. Although the store is well stocked and clean, not one of the cashiers I have encountered have a friendly demeanor. I go up to check out and my M&Ms are buy one get one free, so says the tag. The very unfriendly cashier woman, who always has a tone like doing her job is an inconvenience asks me if I have a Wellness card. After saying no, she says "Well, nothing will be the same price then". Ok lady, I don't care if I pay an extra dollar for another bag of M&Ms but at least ask me if I want to sign up for a card. For three items she was really slow to check me out and felt the need to instruct me when to take out my card from the chip reader. They're everywhere and I know how to use them, ok? Should have went to the gas station next door instead. read more

Beware of price labels that are flatly dishonest. I went to the checkout with an item that was posted as: "$3.99" minus $2.00, with a final price "just like" $1.99. I asked what "just like" was supposed to mean, and I was told that it means that with a Rite Aid card the price is $1.99. And I was asked if I wanted it anyway. I said yes and was then informed that the price without a card is $9.99. Nothing on the price sign had said $9.99! So don't believe the posted prices. I don't blame this on the checkout staff, who have generally been friendly and, with occasional exceptions on the level normal in these places (like having nobody around) reasonably efficient. I blame it on the suits, the people who run these stores, who consider their patrons a bunch of dupes to practice their unethical marketing strategies upon. read more

Pharmacy is rude and unhelpful in getting Rx's refilled. Their voice-recording says, 'we will contact your doctor's office' -- but they apparently don't do this or at least don't care much for doing it despite it being, well...their job? Get your Rx filled at Kroger across the street. read more

Long time on hold by phone. Often out of medications and not helpful in problem solving.

Sloooooow .. Takes like 20 mins to checkout. Don't go if you are in a hurry; Kroger across the street would be faster.
