I have a prescription to be filled that is out of refills. I have called the Rite Aid pharmacy in Guthriesville several times today. No one picks up the phone. They have to call my doctor to get a new script as Im afraid that if my doctor calls them they won't answer. I even called the store number and asked to speak to the pharmacist. He transferred me to them and they still didn't answer. I am almost out of the meds and need that filled. I'm going to have to go to another pharmacy as I can't put up with this. read more

This is the most awful, slowest, unorganized pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Every time I call to confirm something is ready, there's always an issue when I walk in. Besides standing in the crazy long line, it never fails, they screw something up, and I'm stuck sitting in one of their metal folding chairs (see picture)... they keep adding more each time I walk in. Spent 9 minutes on the phone with them on a Saturday. They told me my script will be ready for refill on Monday. I then asked if I should call on Monday again and she said "nope, we'll have it ready!" I said "Really? I should call just in case, and she said "it's in the system!" I had to travel, and went to pick up the scripts on Thursday - and it wasn't ready! I don't know what their problem is. They don't look short staffed. I was only forced to go there when my local pharmacy shut down unexpectedly... ughhh. Sorry to be negative. But hopefully the already low rating, plus this review will make them take a deep dive into their terrible customer experience. read more

First time I tried to get prescriptions refilled In my new location here on Horseshoe Pike. Called in 2 prescriptions yesterday because I was leaving for a week long vacation. They were ready yesterday. Went to pick them up today. The pharmacy was closed. Their one and only pharmacist called out sick. They couldn't give me my prescription. I have to now go a week without 2 of my prescriptions because they didn't have a backup for their pharmacist. A company the size of Rite Aid. Seriously? I am done. Moving my scripts somewhere else. How can they do that? If something happens to me because I didn't take my prescription for a week, I hope my family holds them responsible. read more

Well if I could rate this pharmacy a "O" I would. Tonight was the clincher! My daughter had an appointment at her MD at 11:30, left office at 12:30. Rite Aide sends a text when me medication is completed. No text all Day. We called pharmacy for hours and no answer. Finally, we got someone to answer the phone only to Find out that the pharmacy is short staffed and if we wanted to talk to the pharmacist we had to come to the store. So we went to the store. The pharm tech told me that most likely the medication would not be able to be filled today. So I told them I was not leaving until the medication was filled. It was filled immediately. This location is giving Rite Aide a bad name. Go else where!! This isn't the only issue we have had here! They are the slowest to fill anything! When you are not feeling well you deserve better service. Rant over! read more

If there was a negative rating, I'd use it. Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive and rude, customer service and pharmacist. No one answers phones for hours and store managers are rude and unhelpful. My next call is to the rite aid district manager. The attitude of "we'll get to it when we get to it" is deplorable. They seem to have little to no regard for the health and well-being of their Customers. It's been this way at every rite aid I've used over the past 20 years and it's only getting worse. My pharmacy finally got the prescription transferred, but way too late to fill it until late the following day. Even CVS is better - do not use rite aid if you expect professional, competent, courteous service. I do not trust them to accurately fill any of my prescriptions. read more

Buckle up. This is gonna be a nasty review. My fiancé and I were leaving in her car after using the pharmacy in rite aid and then our car broke a ball joint rendering the car unmovable. So it was stuck next to some of the parking spaces on the SIDE OF THE BUILDING. As we sat and waited on the phone with AAA cars went around the vehicle without hesitation or confusion. In the meantime we notified the people inside Rite Aid about the situation AND notified the police so that everybody was kept in the loop. The first worker of rite aid who I wish I had the name of was unbelievably rude to us that we couldn't push our disabled car out of the way... which again had one of the wheels broken off.... She even came outside to shrug her arms in the air and shake her head as if we were simply having a nice time with our broken car. Then the tow service canceled our request so we had to wait OVER NIGHT. We assured rite aid about the fact that they told us the car would be picked up in the morning. So it's the next morning and we're still dealing with the tow. We go inside to tell rite aid again what's going on so they are informed and we apologize (I don't know why...) for the inconvenience of having our broken car wait to be rescued. I want to point out that Manager Jen was exceptionally pleasant! And she in no way reflects the garbage attitude and unprofessionalism of Rite Aid. She should be promoted and Rite Aid should be held to HER standard. And this brings me to perhaps the biggest complaint I have about Rite Aid: apparently the district manager, Pat, decided to do laps around the store in his car and kept calling in to complain that we were still there... are you kidding me? Does Pat think we enjoyed wasting our Saturday literally sitting on the curb at Rite Aid desperately communicating with a tow truck for help?! Pat, super uncool dude. Not only is that just unnecessary but several times my fiancé was by herself waiting with the car while I ran around trying to make ends meet. We both feel incredibly violated that this Manager Pat guy was roaming around on his own time essentially stalking my fiancé watching to see if and when the car was moved. Disgusting. Rite Aid threatened us several times that if we didn't move our car they would have it impounded... because, again, we weren't doing enough apparently between frantically calling tow companies and navigating the terrible service that is AAA (see that negative review once I finish this one) So in closing, this Rite Aid has been absolutely awful, rude, condescending, and unsympathetic (which you might imagine as a company branded around care they might be?) their district manager named Pat has been stalking us and complaining despite us apologizing and trying our best to have them informed. Do not use this Rite Aid for anything. I wouldn't return here even if I was bleeding out and they were the last shop in town with a bandaid. I'd rather walk up hill both ways in a blizzard with no shoes and both my legs broken to find a CVS rather than return to any Rite Aid... thanks Pat. If you for some reason HAVE to patronize this Rite Aid, Manager Jen or employee Kathy were very friendly and accommodating. Sorry you two delightful souls are imprisoned in such a dumpster of an establishment. read more

It's amazing how staff can make or break a company. Fran was apparently having a really bad day. I wanted to sign up for the store card because this seems to be my go to quick stop shop (also because I was buying the Gatorade that was on sale 2/$3). Fran signed and said,"not with this line". Seriously, there were only a couple people in line. Then, she proceeded to try and scan a card to sign me up... And just couldn't figure it out. Every key stroke, she huffed, puffed and sighed. She ended up canceling the registration and just shoved the card into the bag and said I could sign up late. Aside from the less than favorable encounter with Fran, who I'm sure was having a rough day... I ended up paying close to $8 more than I needed to. All I needed was Gatorade for a sick child after working a 12 hour day. If this location wants to stay in business... Develop your staff to be centered on the customer. Otherwise, this store won't make it. 8/9/2016 - the store manager called me this morning. I have faith he will address the concerns and I appreciate the time Shawn took to call me and hear me out about my experience. Hopefully his caring nature will rub off on his employees. read more

This actually a pretty decent Rite-Aid in terms of selection and cleanliness, but every time I've been there the cashiers just seem to have an attitude. Last time I was there I ended up having my credit card charged twice for the same merchandise. I had to go through my bank to get it back. read more

NOT 24 HOURS! The pharmacy here is no longer 24 hours. They close super early now like all the others. Not that you would know that considering online everything says 24 hours, and there's a huge sign by the street that says 24 hours, and the posted pharmacy hours on the placard on the front door says 24 hours, but there's a little paper sign that says their new pharmacy hours. For sure don't miss that sign because the staff is super nasty if you ask at all. read more

I'm done with Rite Aid pharmacy on Wallace Ave in Downingtown. Yesterday I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. She called in a prescription for an antibiotic for the infection and a steroidal spray to help relieve the congestion. Knowing from past experiences that Rite Aid is slow to fill prescriptions, I ran a couple of errands and waited a little over an hour before going to pick my order up. When I arrived, I was given the antibiotic with no mention of the spray. When I questioned the pharmacy technician (or perhaps only a cashier behind the pharmacy counter), I was told the spray was "on order." So I asked (getting info is pulling teeth apparently) when it would available and was told Monday. Again not full information - what time on Monday? Morning? Afternoon? Evening? I was told any time after 3pm. At about 6:15 tonight, my scrip was not ready. Actually I was informed that they were waiting for an authorization from my doctor. No phone call or other communication from Rite Aid today. As I started to walk away, I told the counter people that a phone call would have been appreciated earlier in the day. On my way home, I did receive a call (so they do have my cell number) from the pharmacist. Apparently, there are OTC substitutes for this med and they are going to try to reach the doctor for a substitute that is covered by my plan. Thanks for the call but too little, too late! Thank goodness it was a medication to treat a symptom, not the condition. I'm done with this Rite Aid as this isn't the first time I've received substandard service from the pharmacy. Rant over! Horrible customer service. I've used this pharmacy for years and over that time it's gotten worse. The only good thing they had going was the 24 hour drive thru. That's gone now. I found this out last night when I pulled up and employee told me they were closed. I asked about the 24 hours and with a shitty attitude she said "we haven't had those hours in months". Well, I didn't know that because I haven't been there in months! I returned this morning and without fail I was left waiting until the employee stopped playing with herself. Meanwhile my 5 year old son is crying about his strep throat and wants his medicine. Then when she finally came over and asked me for the date of birth she tells me she'll be with me in a minute. Then she goes and helps a customer who just walked up to the counter. WTF IS THAT! I was there first. I only went this time because my wife had the prescription filled there. I stopped using them because everytime I go there's an issue. Either the prescription wasn't ready yet or they don't have it. Of course they wouldn't tell us that when we dropped it off. Oh no they'd wait until we come back to pick it up. Also getting their attention at the drive thru was always a challenge. They would turn and look(or stare) then look away and continue wandering around like they're busy. Bottom line they are incompetent, unorganized, and of no use to me. read more

Before reading other reviews I thought I was the only one that had complaints with the cashiers. After standing in line for seemed like ten minutes the lady at the register finally was able to check me out. I unload my items and she proceeds to start eating a very large piece of peanut butter candy. She Than asks me "baipjhc gfhjfdgdg" I said what? She responded by once again saying gibberish. After about 45 seconds she swallows the candy and asks do you have a wellness card? I said no. She asks if wanted to sign up for one I said no. She than states it only takes a few moments, I responded like the few moments it took for you to chew that candy and breath your peanut butter breath on me? Holy hell. The workers. It takes longer to wait in line and even longer to watch the painfully slow workers ring up your stuff than it does to select your merchandise. I understand in the rat race of life, things could slow down a bit. But wow. Today I watched two co workers flow around at the front, one was purchasing stuff. We switched to CVS for awhile, but that pharmacy is not 24 hours. We switched back, but slow prescription filling, not notifying that authorization is needed, not having the medication on hand and other things make it difficult to like the pharmacy. The other employees at the store are personable and pleasant. If they are that busy at this particular pharmacy then they need to hire additional people to work. read more

I've been using this particular rite aid for at least 8 years and it meets my needs quite sufficiently.

I didn't use the Rite Aid pharmacy for a year after they switched from being Eckerd because the customer service was just that bad. Now, I am beginning to wonder if there is something really wrong with this place. I dropped off 6 prescriptions on a Saturday afternoon that I needed for Tuesday (I was having surgery). They told me I could get the scripts Monday after 12 noon. I went to pick them up at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and only 3 were ready. They told me that my doc's office didn't write the dosage requirements on the scripts and they were waiting to hear back. Well, at 6:30 p.m. at night, chances are the doc isn't calling back. The pharmacist on duty took a second look at my scripts and said that the scripts, did indeed, have the correct information and filled them for me on the spot. Don't know why the person who originally saw my script saw something else. Meanwhile, the pharmacy assistant lost my AETNA VISA card in this mess and they couldn't find it anywhere. The worst part? He didn't seem to care! So not only did they not have my scripts ready, but then they lost my method of payment in the middle of this mess. I was pretty upset and on edge by now, bad enough I was having surgery in the morning and feeling anxious. The pharmacist on duty looked high and low for my card and found it eventually, but this was at 8:30 p.m. and I had already wasted 2 hours at this place. Rite Aid has some serious training issues. I felt bad for the pharmacist on duty because it wasn't his fault this mess happened, but the techs at that place are incompetent. I refuse to go to Rite Aid anymore for scripts. I choose Med Cap across the street or Target, where they are always nice and professional. read more

This is a big store and is open 24 hours, but the customer service is absolutely terrible. Cashiers have an attitude and the pharmacy is never prepared. When going through the drive through to pick up prescriptions, you will have to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to even address you and then another half an hour to pick up your prescriptions. They should not only hire more people in the pharmacy if they need help, but also change their attitudes towards customers. read more

The service is soooo slow all the time. I like the products you sell, but the service is abhorant. It takes longer to wait in line than to actually shop. The computers are slow, the receipts way too long. The staff yawns in your face and often seem like zombies at their posts keeping guard. Usually seems like I am disturbing them when i try to buy something. Also, when the line is really long it seems no other employees step up and help at checkout. Get self check out soon. read more

I really love this pharmacy! The pharmacists are really personable and extremely helpful even when it is busy. The thing I love most about this place is that they will really get you out of there in 15 mins or less! The down part about the pharmacy I'd have to say are the technicians. Not all of them, but some of them don't really know what's going on (I'm assuming these might be new techs). I'd suggest hiring techs that care more about the job and possibly retraining them but I think other than that these guys are great! They always have me leaving the place with a smile. read more
