Everything needs improvement @ this store location. They never have the store fully stocked, so many shelves are literally empty! Why? They have no business @ all! Everyone in their store seems like they hate their "dead end" job! The Pharmacy is lousy & seems to hate their job too! If you need a script filled, you better wait @ least 3-4 hrs + for them to fill it for you! People...there are so many other pharmacies besides " Rite Aide" pharmacy to go to, where you're totally cared for as a customer. I truly get better customer service at "ANY" of their competitors! I also don't wait 3-4hrs.+for a script to be filled! I really have found happiness w/ my new pharmacy! Thank goodness!. read more

No Customer Service at the Pharmacy Whatsoever This pharmacy has no concept of customer service. I drove through, pushed the button for help, but nothing happened. No light, no buzzer, nothing to indicate that the pharmacy had been notified that I was at the drive through. I waited three or four minutes, and still no response. I tapped my horn politely and one of the women inside caught my eyes and then looked away without acknowledging that we had made eye contact. I drove around and went inside and asked the pharmacist, Tan, if they are aware when someone is in the drive through, and nonchalantly he replied, "Yeah. We know." I then asked if, with a total of six persons that I could see working, could not one of them wave or somehow acknowledge to a customer at the drive through that the pharmacy knows that the customer is waiting? Completely missing the point, Tan flatly replied, "Three or four minutes is not that long to wait in the drive through." Then a young woman muttered something under her breathe, which I thought was incredibly unprofessional. Tan filled the prescription and then droned, "With all of the pharmacies being closed, we're really busy and we all have our attention focused on what we're doing and not on the drive through." Is this an apology or an acceptable explanation? I would say neither one. What passes for customer service at this pharmacy, or even common courtesy, is appalling. Avoid this pharmacy, inside and out, like the plague. Ironically, the associates at the front of the store are always upbeat and personable, which is such a contrast to the robotic indifference or muttering surliness of the pharmacy staff at the back. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for some time now and today was the worst experience by far. I left urgent care around 11am and gave my prescription some time to process before calling the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy at around 1:30pm to verify if they received my prescription. The staff advised it would be ready around 2 hours. I went to the drive through at 5pm and the staff at the window said it was not ready and if I wanted to come in it would be ready in about 25 minutes or else it would not be ready for pick up today. I looked at her and told her I was very sick and did not want to go inside. I asked her if I could wait in my car instead and she hesitated but then said yes. I will update this review if my prescription is actually ready on time. I'm definitely switching pharmacies after this because this is not best practice. Your clients are already feeling like crap after being at the doctor's office for hours. Do better Rite Aid. read more

I just went through the pharmacy drive thru to pick up my daughters prescription only to be told that it wasn't ready and it would be another 20-30 minutes before it was ready. She said they would send a text when it was ready so I drove around and parked to wait with my two toddlers in the truck. 30 minutes went by and I did not receive anything from them. By this time my sick daughter had fallen asleep in the truck and the other one was fussing that she was ready to go home. I drove around to ask and Denise, the girl at the window, proceeds to tell me that it's still not ready because 20-30 minutes was o my if I got off and waited there where they could see me. I'm sorry? What? I have a sick child in my car and you're telling me I have to get off with her in 57 degree weather just so you can rush her prescription? What's the point of even having a drive thru if you want people to get off to give them their medicine? She tried telling me that I should have told her I was going to wait in the truck so they could rush it. Why should I? If I'm there it's because I need the medicine. I'm not trying to wait hours when my daughter has already spent the entire day feeling down and waiting for her medication. Her doctor sent the prescription at 2 pm and they didn't have it ready 4 hours later. Never again. Worst experience ever. It's no wonder they're going out of business. read more

They have no concept of customer service. I came today at 11am and two women were working the register. I waited for almost 10 minutes to buy a redbull and when I finally got to the register, I was not greeted. Instead I had to stand there while the girl at the counter and the manager talked shit about customers. Saying they didn't want stinky customers. Then when that was over I was still not acknowledged and she answered the phone. Once she was off the phone she grab my redbull and scanned it. No apology, no acknowledgement. Honestly I know Rite aid sucks as a company to work for, but dam how do you expect to get a better job when you don't know anything about customer service or just common manners. Also, thru this whole interaction I was literally standing less than 3 ft away, so no they were not on the side having a private concert and no it wasnt that they were too busy and to see me. I tried to get a shingles shot from the CVS on Jackson and 42nd. I was the first in line before they even opened. There was no one else in line but me. When they finally opened their window I spoke to one of the pharmacist that told me in fact they had the vaccine, but I could not get the vaccine unless I had an appointment. Now, I've made two different appointments online with Walgreens, I go at my scheduled day and time and they tell me, "Oh we don't check the online site for appointments you just need to come in and if we have time we'll give the shot. So I thought CVS probably worked the same way. So, I'm standing in the store trying to go online and make an appointment but the site wants to send me to Palm Springs even though I'm in Indio. Do you think anyone there would help or assist me..... no! They were of no help. I quit going to CVS many years ago for different reasons and problems with the pharmacy. I will never go back to a CVS again! I called Rite-Aid on Monroe and 48th, the person I spoke to was very nice and said you don't need an appointment for a Shingles shot. Come on down and we can do it right away! The pharmacist was also extremely nice! I highly recommend the pharmacy at Rite Aid on Monroe on 48th! read more

The pharmacy staff is always so helpful. I went to give updated insurance information and to my surprise they already had the new info. I've had vaccines given by the pharmacist who is always kind and eager to answer questions. I appreciate how close the store is to my home. I recommend this Rite Aid location for your pharmacy needs! We recently moved to this area and have transferred our prescriptions to this store off Monroe. The pharmacist and staff were extremely helpful during this transition. We look forward shopping and filling our prescriptions at this store. We were surprised at how much larger this store is vs the Rite Aid off Washington and 42nd. We will miss the staff at that location though, as we had been working with them for twelve years. read more

Oh my God we can not find any yogurt places in Indio guess we will have to drive to La Quinta or into Rancho Mirage tomorrow i just got an ice cream in Rite Aide and my stomach is killing me because their Greek yogurt tasted terrible and I'm lactose intolerant... Only place to get frozen yogurt is in La Quinta...yikes Got some Sun Block it is 104 degrees out here in the dessert..this store has a limited supply considering were in the dessert you would think they would carry a lot more! read more

When I showed up for my appointment the drive thru gal said the pharmacist was on lunch and I'd have to wait 30 minutes. She walked off and completely ignored me. This place is amazing. I came out here for a short stay and decided to stay for 2 months. I take medication for my heart that I cannot miss. I thought I had enough for 3 more weeks but I did not. I went to Rite Aid and the wonderfull tech- I think her name was Rejina- not only put my prescription through but managed to get a vacation override and I did not have to pay anything. I take a highly specified brand of the medication and she listened to me, took a few minutes and located it in the store. 5 minutes later the pharmacist, Austin, was checking me out and helping me find q-tips. I have never felt so at home. I felt very much like I had small town manners where everyone is nice with big city convenience. I LOVE this Rite Aid. I felt like I was home. read more

This was my first experience here and it was nothing short of perfect! I was extremely impressed and thankful with the staff for going above and beyond for filling my prescription in 10 minutes because I was in a rush to go on vacation. I pulled up to the drivethru, but my script had just been sent over; staff member Marisa said she could fill it in 40 minutes but I told her I'd come back since I had to leave for vacation. She offered for me to come inside, make my script the priority, and personally fill it for me in 10 minutes. I was SO grateful because I really wanted to get my antibiotics in my system before leaving for vacation. Thank you SO much. read more

Olga the Pharmacy Technician is SOMETHING ELSE! First when I pulled up to the drive thru she asked me for my name. So when she came back to the window she asked me if I had insurance. Mind you I've been going there for years with the same insurance. Then she recommended me to get the Hepatitis vaccine shot. In the past the Pharmacist told me that my insurance didn't cover it. But she insisted to get it. So we walked into the pharmacy. Then she said your insurance doesn't cover the shot, after we got out of car and I already knew that. She could of checked while I was in the drive thru but she made us get off the car and get off and then for her to tell me that. I was really upset. Can't she use your brain first. Someone needs to talk her ASAP to use her common sense. But the other Pharmacy techs are great. Keep up the great customer service ladies. read more

I try not to write bad reviews if possible but this place deserves zero stars! Dropped off a prescription at the Pharmacy, Basically ignored at the drop off desk until I asked for service. Lady tells me it's going to be an hour, ok, no problem, I was a bit disappointed as I had someone at home who just got out of knee surgery and needed the medication. Drive back over in one hour only to be told that the pharmacist left for lunch without filling the prescription and won't be back for 35 minutes. WTF? Never again will I be a customer of Rite-Aid unless some miracle service recovery happens. read more

Pak the pharmacist is the first pharmacist I have ever dealt with that really proved that good people still exist! He caring, goes out of his way to help people in pain! I was on vacation in LaQuinta and got a severe case of ear infection, after going to ER I was given a prescription to fill, I went to Walgreens but they didn't have medicine, I went to Rite Aid on 111 in Palm Desert and really got no help there.. long story on that one. I felt helpless as my pain was getting worse and medicine nowhere to be found ! So I called the next closest Rite Aid and I got Pak on the phone, not only he was crafty enough to make sure I have the meds he also was able to get it covered under my insurance, which by the way before mentioned pharmacies didn't even bother with ! A bottle of this stuff is $300.00 out of pocket and all of them claimed it was not covered by my insurance! Pak managed to get it done! He is very knowledgeable and his support staff is very caring as well! I can't recommend this place enough ! If you are in the desert and need meds, this is the place! PS he even stayed late for me to make sure I get help! They don't have enough good people like him anymore! read more

This is a local grocery store for myself and family. Today, I was shopping and found what I thought to be a fantastic deal which was advertised on a end cap for the holidays. I finished my shopping and checked out at register where I found out that the price of my item was $10 more that the sales price. I asked to speak to management where I found out that this location is without a Manager. I got an ASM named Olivia that marked down the price to what was advertised after my explanation. Had a bad day at the pharmacy. Wasted so much time. First their system was not accepting my credit card. They had at least 5 people, including the manager trying to fix or override system. This was a system problem, not my card. Waited and wasted at least 15 minutes. I had to come back to pick up another prescription in an hour. When I returned, I was told prescription was not ready. They told me they were checking my insurance. This was a flat out lie. Two clerks were looking through all the filled prescriptions. I said, oh you found it. Of course, nothing was said. Another 15 minutes wasted. I will be going elsewhere in the future. I think this is poor customer service. read more

I just stepped in to rite aid on 48 and Monroe with my niece maybe twenty minutes ago and I must say I never had a complain about the staff until today. We decided we wanted ice cream and asked for Rainbow and the lady that attended us said did we want another flavor, I look down rainbow gallon is full I repeat myself we would like rainbow and she said I know would you like another because the rainbow is too hard and my wrist hurts and I don't want to break it. Then she repeated would you like another flavor I said no thank you and decided to leave. Even though Baskin Robbin was further I did the drive because I found it ridiculous that having the ice cream she failed to give it to us because her wrist hurt. She was just plain out lazy and if it was really her wrist then maybe you should not be at work if your not going to be helpful! I walked into this Rite Aid yesterday (10/28/2012) about midafternoon and saw the nastiest display of customer service that have ever seen. I was standing line to pay for some toothpaste. When the cashier for the line I was standing in had a complete meltdown, she started yelling at this poor lady in front of me about her being lazy because she asked her to please scan a coupon for the insert of their store advertisement. The poor lady said that scanning the advertisement had never been a problem before and the cashier snatched the advertisement from her started ripping the paper to shreds in front of the this poor lady. When the lady asked to see the manager say said she was the manager and walked away leaving all of us in line waiting to pay. Another employee came up a few minutes later and was informed that the store manager was needed, after updating the store about the problem. The cashier/manager was sent home and the store manager apologized left and right we all chimed say that she have been fired.
