today 2/14/15 at 1:50pm, i was told it will take 2 hours for my refills. this should upset hubby really good ! we come from the other side of palm desert, because this is the only cvs that carries this medicine. zohydro er. not convenient at all. thanks to new health laws. there has to be a better way ! plus my wonderful health insurance does not cover this medicine. nor does it pay for the very expensive pain med's, unless they are generic. which do not work. thats over $ 1,500 a month, let's not forget the doctors office visit charge each month, because now we need to be seen each month by the doctor, to get our scripts. so sure i will "frickin" wait 2 hours more for you to have lunch and do all the people standing in front of me, while i too "had" valentine day reservations for dinner at 4 pm that i will be charged for, even though i wont get to eat there because you dont have enough pharmacist and pharmacy help on. it is now 2:40pm, hubby too upset to wait any longer. i came back into the store to get my 1 capsule i had left in my bottle of zohydro. i came back stood in line, because there is only one line of course. in comes the girl who told me to please wait 15 minutes. after i spoke up and said " you can't even give me enough pills to make it to monday ? like christine said you would ? i was mad as hell yes ! so what do i do ? got my last pill back, bought frickin water ( you couldn't give me a cup of water ? ) and took my last zohydro ! trying to ignore the raving lunatic in the car waiting for me. maybe they are filling the norco too ? would be nice ! this is nuts.... are you trying to give me a nervous breakdown ? i'm sitting here next to the pharmacy, trying to subdue my tears, and anger ten minutes later, my phone rings.... its this cvs, telling me my meds are ready. I told the girl, can't you see me ? i'm sitting right here in front of the pharmacy ? ( I feel sooo important, just another number for good ol'e cvs) so up to the counter I go... and the shit starts again... we cant give you the 5 capsules of zohydro to get through until monday, when we get our order full. what......?????? christine said it was no problem, you have some here she said... I pull out the copy I have of zohydro er patient safty program : use certification form. that christine said i'd only need one time, yes even for refills. now remember we are only talking about 5 pills, count them 5 pills... until monday afternoon. so the lady goes on to say, "we need another zohydro er atient safety program: use certification form . "we called the doctors office already" wrong thing to say to me at this point !!!!! (most specialized doctors have weekends off. ) I pulled out my copy, and said " rather loudly and in tears, christine said I only needed this form one time ! it took me 23 days last time to get this form signed by the doctor, and returned to cvs. I was not a very nice person by this time. come to find out...after all my ranting and raving, and crying, yes, this is what chornic pain, does to people, throw in, a second shoulder replacement surgery 13 weeks ago. also severe fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. because the pa signed the script, I now need another one, to make it legal for me to get it. Not only does this CVS AND pharmacy perpetually have the WORST customer service and every single time I come in there's a problem. But their pharmacy is perpetually engaged in illegal hippa violations. Asking me to explain to you WHY I'm using medication and the reason my doctor is prescribing it to me I front of other customers is inappropriate and none of your business. She repeatedly badgered me asking where in my body I have inflammation I am trying to treat amd became angry when I wouldn't tell her. Today I came to pick up 5 medications due to a recent allergic reaction and an emergency room visit. The doctor prescribed a blood pressure cuff to measure my blood pressure in conjuction with other medication due to the allergic reaction. The rude pharmacist instead of just explaining they don't have Blood pressure cuffs filled a prescription for Losartan. Which is a high blood pressure pill. Which means someone on her team or her messed up reading the RX correctly, that I have a copy of, and gave me a pill to take multiple times a day for an ailment that I don't have. Blood pressure medication is serious. I don't have high blood pressure but some random pharmacist who knows nothing about my medical history is prescribing me medication now? She also said since they don't have the B12 injections ny doctor filled a prescription for, I can just buy it over the counter that continued to explain to me where I can buy a bottle of b12 vitamins. Even though I repeatedly explained to her that I have a medical condition that is requiring me to take an injection. Also none of her business. The fact that their is a person in charge just randomly giving out medications to people is concerning. What if she gives the wrong medication to an elderly person or disabled person who won't be as aware as I was before taking the medications. She deserves to lose her ability to distribute medication for this egregious behavior, especially in an elderly community like this. read more

Service is SUPER SLOW! I waited in the Drive through line from 6pm to 6:45PM and there were only 4 cars a head of me. Once I got to the window, I realized there was only the Pharmacist and Pharmacist Tech working and going back and forth to the inside line of people to the window line of cars. Once I left, they closed the window! Everyone behind me was shut out! Please bulk up the staffing! The 2 people working were exhausted and stressed! This pharmacy has a very hard time understanding that people need their medicine; they have closed the drive through window on me once before at 6:40pm. I hauled butt in there and luckily got my meds inside before they slammed that gate closed. It's not personal, they are way under-staffed!!!!! read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Don't go there anywhere close to closing time because they'll make you sit there looking for info until it's time to close and tells you to leave. Getting my prescriptions has become such a hassle. I've been exposed to Covid recently so I sent my granddaughter to pick up my Eliquis and my thyroid medication. She was helped by the actual pharmacist who was rude and argumentative The pharmacist kept saying my thyroid meds weren't due until October We tried to explain they gave me 3 loaners over the weekend. Getting those was also a nightmare. And I explained I have a text saying my prescription is ready for pick up And she still argued I switched from Walgreens since they rarely have a pharmacist on duty. All the reviews about how poor the service is.. 100% true. Please, if you've any choice about which pharmacy to use, don't use this one. Maybe you need to call them, or your MD needs to call them, they will either ignore the call or just hang up on you. Seems to be the culture at this pharmacy. read more

CVS assistant manager Ashley did not have time to help me with my discount. I asked for help with my photo purchase. Ashley said " no you didn't do the discount property." She wasn't willing to help. This was so disappointing. Ashley didn't show any management material. This CVS has a lot of traffic so its important to be kind and persistent. read more

The service personnel at the pharmacy are the rudest people I have crossed in 10 years of service. I was told attempting to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy, however she was on break and they were unable to fill the prescription as they were shortstaffed could not help me. I would need to return after the employees break. I asked if there was anybody else in the building and their reply was we just don't have enough labor and you'll have to come back The female Manager was rude and belligerent. I've had trouble with this pharmacy for two years. The staff is rude and I've experienced several prescription errors here.

By far the worst Pharmacy I have been too. They ALWAYS have multiple people waiting and then while you're waiting you can hear the "Pharmacy Calls" on hold over the loud speaker which is always at least 2-3. They are not staffed properly. Who the hell is running this place? The pharmacy tech came over and was so irritated with the pharmacist (Asian lady) and had to keep correcting her with customers to get people the right information. Julie Z? I think was her name is the ONLY person who knows what is going on and is efficient. I overheard her explaining to the Pharmacist that the store cut hours cause they think it's not busy and let me tell you that ITS BUSY. Felt so bad for her. She should be a manager. read more

I frequent CVS so when we moved near this one I was happy to still have a CVS close. I have had nothing but horrible experiences here. the staff are so rude. I happened to go twice today, once this morning to pop in for two energy drinks. Could not use the register because there were no staff there so after I finished at self check out, and was almost to the door, a woman manager(I'm assuming) starts yelling after me asking if I need help. I told her I already paid at self checkout and went about my day. When I realized I needed something else, I stopped in this afternoon. I grabbed my needed items and then browsed to see if i wanted to pick up anything else. Well come to find out the two cashiers get a phone call from the office and start staring me down it was making me extremely uncomfortable. Then when I paid again at self checkout one of them was standing behind me watching me checkout. I HAVE NEVER experienced anything like this before and it made me so uncomfortable that I will not be back. Additionally, since that is the only CVS that is convenient and close by, I will be cancelling my care pass and they'll be losing my business altogether. Honestly, do better. read more

I have visited this store twice in the last week. I visited the Pharmacy both times. The staff are inattentive, slow to respond and unfriendly. In both instances, there were at least 3 people in the Pharmacy. I stood at the cash register and no one payed any attention. In the first instance, I said "hello" to get someone's attention. This was after 2-3 staff looked at me. I have never experienced such poor customer service at CVS previous to these encounters. I am a longtime customer of CVS, having moved to this area recently. I will never go to this store again. This staff needs a refresh on good customer service. Absolutely no respect for the customer. This review is for the CVS on Jefferson and Washington. Everytime I go the drive through I wait no less than 10 minutes. Cars regularly back out and leave. Different faces in the pharmacy everytime I go there. Yesterday snapped me. My doctor had sent in an RX on Tuesday. I went Saturday to pick it up. I was told they were out of my prescription and would have wait until Monday. Well that would have been okay if I wanted to go into a medical decline! They had five days advance warning to get the RX. Disappointed. Changing to an online ordering store. Beware. read more

This pharmacy was the worst experience today . I'm in bed with the flu and my husband went over to get tamiflu for my sick child -because it was called in by his doctor earlier today. Cvs called me telling me they only had one tamiflu available and not the others I needed for my two other kids. She would transfer it to another store. When I asked she said it would be in palm desert . I asked if she could check into something closer as we live in la quinta . Otherwise it would not be available until Monday at the location. She then called me back saying they had it in Indio off 50 th but it would be hard to get to as the roads are blocked due to coachella . So I asked if they could transfer them from that store to this one and she said yes but it wouldn't be until 7 pm or so. I asked what time they closed and she said 9 pm. I sent my husband the text from cvs that my sons prescription was done . So he went there at 4:58 pm today and he was there until 6:38 pm . The people he dealt with were completely out of line. The one woman who my husband described as heavy set -Mexican with dark curly hair about shoulder length. She had tattoos on her face- on the sides of her face I guess. She completely made fun of the fact that my husband said I had spoken to someone and denied I ever had that conversation with the lady who called me. She proceeded to say your wife is cuckoo and that where is the magical transfer that will happen for just your wife etc.. She made gestures making fun of me in front of my children . Can you imagine my husband was simply trying to pick up our prescription for our son. She also was laughing at my husband out loud and proceeded to call him A asshole. My husband then asked for the mgr and the mgr said I will call the police . I mean are you kidding me. We have two homes here in the desert. It's coachella weekend , but we are NOT coachella people . We were simply trying to get a prescription. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a so called pharmacist . The gentleman at the front counter at the pharmacy (young looking asian w/glasses - sorry to classify) is pretty rude. He's emotionless as it is, unless he's making you feel like a drug addict. I just started a new prescription, so I'm new to all of this controlled 2 or whatever it's called...he was asking me questions about the prescription that I didn't know, because I'm just going off what my doctor suggested and the research I did. I asked for the brand, because thats what I got the previous month and I know nothing about the generic and my insurance covers it, but he questioned me on it. Then I asked if I needed to bring a paper prescription in every time (month) since the last one was called in...it's way easier to get it called in instead of having to go pick it up every month, but I didn't realize that it was a law and then he was asking why my prescription was missing a check-marked box...how am I suppose to know? I didn't write the prescription, so he started questioning my prescription saying if I haven't been abusing the drug then my insurance will cover it, but if I have then they won't be able to fill it. Totally unnecessary and making me feel like something is wrong with me for evening taking this drug. I get it that people abuse drugs, but for heaven sake they're are people out there who actually need them to function. He really shouldn't assume anything and treat people differently just because of it being a controlled 2 drug. Especially when I have my kid there. read more

I would like to give them zero star! I called the pharmacy ahead of time to make sure they had the medication I needed. They told me it will be ready to pick up when I arrive. However, I got to the store and handed Mr. Anas Qazzaz my prescription. He was confused how to enter my prescription into the system, so he stopped it and went to take care of all the customers whom got there after me. I was very patient until he told me that he didn't know how to enter the prescription into the system because he never see this before. He told me to come back tomorrow. I explain to him that I have to take care of it today, that is why I am here instead at my regular pharmacy. He told me I don't need the medication tonight and it can wait! After 45 minutes of wait, I walked away without my medication because this ignorant man didn't know how to do his job! Never going back to this location again. read more

The staff in the store are great...They are very efficient the staff will drop what they are doing and help you. The pharmacy is another story. I really don't know what to say about them...I know they try their best there is a missing link in their programs. It's not the staff it is the programs they have in the computer, sometimes you get notified when you medications are ready and sometimes they don't. They are trying their best. read more

This pharmacy is simply awful, RUDE, incompetent and the actual pharmacist today did NOT understand spoken English! After calling this CVS to refill a prescription, was put on hold, waited 15 minutes, only to be disconnected! Called again and after 10 minutes, I was connected to someone. I spoke to the pharmacy tech who was no help at all. She transferred me to the pharmacist. I had to repeat myself over 4 times to the pharmacist, and each time she got the information wrong! I finally just said "Oh I will have my son just pick it up for me in person before you close." Her retort was, "what is your son's birthdate?" I said "What? Why do you need his birthdate?" She continued "you said you have a prescription of his to pick up." I was so upset by this point! I didn't understand how on earth this pharmacist could be working with the public in such an important position! There's ALWAYS a problem with this place! I am afraid for this CVS to fill my prescriptions now! I will not trust my health and safety to a pharmacist who can't decipher a simple birth date or name! I was so patient, repeating myself over, and over, and over again! AND STILL she got the information all wrong!
