I ended up in the ER with diarrhea, severe vomiting and uterine cramping. I couldn't keep food down for two days and lost my appetite for four more days after that. The way Wawa handled this was appalling: Destruction of Evidence: I told Catherine C (Customer Relations) I planned to contact a lawyer that I know who could have the food tested for further contamination. She insisted I return it to the store for 'internal testing.' I complied. The store manager, Nambia at the time offered me $6.99 to resolve the issue. I later found out that Wawa's Corporate team contacted the store and instructed them to discard the salad. Dismissive Corporate Response: Michelle Chapman (Michelle.chapman@helmsmantpa.com) has been completely dismissive of my trauma. She passed the blame to their supplier, Taylor Farms and did not provide any further resolution beyond $6.99. Wawa tricked me into giving back the evidence, destroyed it, and now refuses to take accountability. Take caution if you eat at this Wawa. Side note: I have been going to wawa faithfully since I was a child...sometimes 10+ times a month, which my wawa app will reflect. Customer service and checkout accuracy was okay, as far as I can tell. The is a restroom at the back of the store for customers but you have to ask an employee to unlock it.
