Walmart is like a magnet it will draw in customers from the worst to the best. I suggest that if you are concerned about that simply go to walmart.com and actually purchase the items online, after comparing the item with its competitors, also online, and then the store employees will put it in your cart as a completed purchase. Don't be hesitant about asking an employee for assistance or even going to Customer Service for assistance. The perennial scam in all Big Box stores is excessive returns and misuse of the self-payment registers. Be assured that all stores have the same security methods and they are quite good at catching the bad people. If you just want to walk around and shop another suggestion is to call the store and ask them if they have a specific item, and to actually hold it for you. There is an excellent free Walmart app for your smart phone to make shopping much easier by actually locating the item and current price. Walmart still has a policy of meeting the cost of all other "local" competitors with the actual flyer listing prices. The pizza and Italian-type foods are the mainstay of many college people. We only came here because there aren't many places in town to get cards. Upon entering, the place…read morewas a mess. The floors were dirty the shelves were empty (due to Christmas being the day before which wasn't a huge factor in my review). I almost slipped on a party of the floor I'm not sure why it wasn't at least clean but I was trying to be ok with it. We got a few birthday cards and walked to the register. We sat there and sat there and finally we had to walk around to get the girl working at the register. She slowly walked around and my aunt yelled happily "hey how's it going today." She looked up and said "fine" and that was the end of the conversation. She seemed extremely annoyed that we were there to buy something and made her work. If you don't want to be in a customer service job, then you should find another one. While we had a good laugh at her misery while we walked out, we both agreed to take our business somewhere else next time even if it is further away.

Ed Ullmann, the pharmacist, spoke to us as people -- he walked around the counter to be face to face, rather than stay behind the counter -- and was tremendously helpful. The Rx wasn't in the Phoenicia pharmacy, and I asked to pick it up in the Tannersville pharmacy; it was done seamlessly. Up in Tannersville I was helped by the pharmacist (Jennifer B, I believe), who was as helpful and kind as I needed. This is the way health care should work. Not a corporate profit point, but a place to get help from a human being who is caring and kind. I'm a believer, and I HIGHLY recommend Well ess Rx.
