Cute little place while we were in town for our son's baseball tourney. We got the Ruben, fries (those were really good!), and I got a garden salad (+ flourless chocolate cake to go). Only mishap was that it took about 45 minutes to get those 3 items and restaurant only had about two tables. Three stars because " SOCIAL MIX Garden Salad" mixed greens + carrots + tomato + house vinaigrette was tiny. And, it was $15!! Sort of insane for the tiny portion that I got. If in a rush, I would not recommend this place. Took about 30 min for a pastry, breakfast sandwich and kids breakfast to go. They forgot to add the pastry to the bag which took another 5 min and there was no bacon on the breakfast sandwich despite it clearly says ADD bacon on the receipt on the bag. We had an amazing experience and are so grateful for all the effort and ease that went into the night. Private event space but feels like the most beautiful and inviting home. Walked in and food was already served buffet style, staff ready to help everyone, full bar, beautiful, lighting, and cornhole for the kids. Warm cookies served for dessert. I'm a big yelper. So I love doing these reviews. Found this place on a Sunday morning. Great set up. Nice front and back porch. Nice ambiance inside. Comfortable, just what you would want in a coffee shop. If anything derogatory about the ambiance is that the bar and cashier area are a little congested and over merchandised. Service was good and fairly quick. Nice menu. Good selections. The only thing holding it to a 4 start review is the execution in the food was not perfect. The food items had everything you would want, but the ham was a little thin and overcooked on the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was mid, and my wife's eggs were just a little overdone. Service was good but we got there when it first opened so we were the only ones there. Menu was tough to choose from bc so may good options. I got lunch for breakfast and it was great! The avocado blt on sourdough and the fries were amazing! My husband loved his burrito and fresh squeezed OJ was a hit. Coffee was eh. Little bitter for my taste. The food was pretty delicious. It was a nice little cafe with a warm cozy vibe. The service was good, however my mothers sandwich was supposed to have bacon and no garlic, and that did not happen. However, other than that, it was pretty good and I would recommend! The menu does have a good variety. It might not be the best for little kids who are picky, but it is a good choice if you want a nice cafe to bring your grandparent to or a nice cafe to meet up with a friend. Came here every morning for my espresso. Service isn't super fast, but their coffee roast is top knotch and have great/healthy food options plus fair price for coffee/espresso drinks. This is the cutest little cafe! I stopped in from out of town for coffee and WiFi. The Carmel cappuccino with oat milk was delicious. I was working so I was here for a while. I was in training in the Oneonta are for a month and made Social Eats my regular stop on the way in, except on Wednesdays when they're closed. The coffee was always very good and the to go service was awesome. They have a sweet scone and a savory scone available every day. These are classic scones, a touch dry because scones are supposed to be and they go great with tea or coffee. The scones are outstanding and their muffins are also very good without being too sweet. I ate lunch and had a fantastic salad. The service was a touch slow, but they let you know that right at the counter (there's a sign reminding you that you're not at a fast food place). This place is so quaint! It felt elegant, yet rustic. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though it was their busy brunch hour. I ordered a cortado and my friend ordered a chai latte. Both were delicious. I'm a coffee snob and need a super smooth dark roast. It was perfect with lavender and rose syrup. My scrambled egg pesto caprese toast was very tasty. If the bombolini is on the menu, it's a must try! It's a filled donut and was one of the best I've ever had. There was someone playing amazing music the day we visited. First of all, that was no powdered hollandaise sauce...most definitely made from scratch and in house. Wow. I must recreate that panini when I get home - Boar's Head Turkey, havarti cheese, tomato, and pesto - I ate the whole thing, save a piece that I shared with my husband. Yum! I met a friend for breakfast yesterday. I had suggested we go here because I'd only been once and I had liked it and wanted to see if it was continuing to live up to its expectation. I would say it has! I had the eggs Benedict which was truly delicious. My coffee was good too. I'm pretty plain and don't go for fancy coffee--but I had a good cup of automatic drip. My only complaint is they don't have Splenda--my preferred sweetener. My friend seemed to enjoy her breakfast burrito but we did have a small complaint about the menu. Unfortunately, the QR code ordering doesn't allow for alterations to the menu--for example if you want a breakfast sandwich but replace the fried egg with scrambled, you cannot do that in the app. That meant we both ordered differently (me through the app and she at the counter). Unfortunately she didn't get her food until after I had started eating mine. That was a bit awkward. It could have been avoided if she could have a made a simple substitution through the app. Other than that--it's the perfect place for a lovely breakfast. On a lovely Autumn day, it was tempting to sit outside, but it was still a little too hot for a Florida girl. You can order at the counter or at the table via QR code. The menu consists of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and, coffee! I ordered a beet salad with salmon husband ordered a sandwich. Everything was good. I particularly enjoyed my lattes. I like the system of ordering online. However, it was a little confusing ordering together as a table online. We ordered separately and my husband's food arrived way after mine. We are long time customers of Social Eats, but I think we might give it a miss for a while. We were sat in the back sunroom two Saturdays ago where it was clear there were a number of unhappy tables waiting for drinks or food. We were skipped over by the waitress twice for tables that came later, so we weren't able to order our drinks for over fifteen minutes. Our food arrived 50 minutes after we sat down. Normally I'd ignore that since the food is usually good and it's nice to have a breakfast spot in Oneonta... but the fact that my eggs Benedict didnt have poached eggs, but a cold hard boiled egg under cooling hollandaise was just not acceptable. This is not the first time that the experience wasn't great, but for whatever reason it was just a little bit worse this time. We didn't bother asking to talk to a manager etc, because we've tried that before ( on what now seems like trivial stuff compared to this day) and were told that we'd have to wait for a while.
