The Port Orchard Rite Aid cost me $700 today. One of my prescriptions was up for refill last week (2024, under my old insurance). They didn't notice they were out until it needed refill, so they had to order it. A full week later, I'm finally able to pick it up, but now it is under my new insurance. The difference in cost is $700. Since I have no choice but to take this drug to avoid strokes, I had to pay. If they'd been competent and filled it when it was due, I would have time to figure out an alternative under the new insurance. Not only is the pharmacy erratic and untrustworthy, half the shelves in the store are empty. One would they they were in a going out of business sale. I was waiting in line to get my booster shot when this obese woman started berating the pharmacy techs. Turns out her doctor hadn't put her prescription through. The pharmacist is on the phone FOR her with her doctor's office trying to help, and the entire time she is yelling, cutting in line, and trash talking these poor employees (who are unbelievably nice). Anyway, watched this busy pharmacist stand up for his techs and basically shut this woman down. This woman was horrible and I'll be upset if this guy gets anything but praise from corporate. My dog's prescription has to be filled monthly, which means I have the unparalleled joy of dealing with this pharmacy's incompetence every 30 days. Nothing is ever ready on time. I renew by phone well in advance, and the phone system always deceives me into thinking my prescription will be ready on a certain day and time. This month, I decided to try booking a pickup for Sunday, and not actually showing until Monday. But no, the system deleted it, "for some reason", and now I'm waiting 40 minutes for a pharmacist to count 60 pills into a bottle. read more

very poor customer service. A few months ago one of the technician misplaced my prescription and said we never gave it to her. After asking to view the camera for that day my prescription was found in a file cabinet and was never entered in their system. Yesterday 10/10/24 my husband went in to pick another prescription after i received a text saying my medication was ready to be picked up. when my husband got there he was told my prescription will not be ready until 10/11/24, as my husband was walking out he heard the same young lady talking to the pharmacy about us, describing to him how we was rude to her and how we accused her of losing my prescription when in fact she did and never apologized to us after another employee found it in a file cabinet. Today 10/11/24 we went in to finally pick up my medication and again because I asked to count my pills in front of the pharmacist because I noticed I being short 8 pills and I wanted to make sure all my pills were accounted for, I was treated very rude and was told to take my business to another pharmacy. I will definitely will. not be doing any kind of business with this pharmacy again. read more

Today is the 3rd time they have given me the wrong medication dosage. Each time they deflect blame and say it isn't their fault and then no apologies. Every time for 2 years they have messed up my rx or my wife's. Our insurance uses them however we won't be going back. read more

I've experienced the worst customer service every single time I've had to visit this store location. I only HAVE to come to this store for prescriptions and it's always been a hassle. It's been so awful that I transferred my prescriptions to multiple different stores. I, unfortunately, am forced to use this location again. Regardless of the situation, I get poor attitudes and eye rolls. Dealing with things that are not my fault and being treated poorly while dealing with them is why I will now drive out of my hometown, all the way to Bremerton just to get a prescription filled. 0/10 do not recommend this pharmacy! read more

WARNING!!! Do not but food of any kind from this Rite Aid in Port Orchard, WA. I made the mistake of buying a package of bacon to save myself a seperate trip to the grocery store. The sell by date was 3 months prior. When I returned it I checked the cooler and every single package of bacon was expired. The manager seemed completely unconcerned. Since then I made the mistake of buying several snack items at different times and all were so stale they could not be eaten. I vowed to refrain from purchasing any food items from them to save having to go back for returns. I do have to go in periodically to pick up prescriptions and recently gave into temptation and bought a package of Easter candy -a Russell Stover chicolate marshmallow egg. I should not have been shocked but I was, to find that the chocolate was grayish from age and the marshmallow had sort of liquified to a gooey sticky mess. Disgusting! Save yourself the disappointment and frustration and just dont buy edible products at this badly managed store. read more

From not putting all my Rx's in the bag and having to drive 30 minutes round trip to get it several times and then filling the wrong dosage, 5mg instead of 20 mg, making excuses and not owning up to it. This has got to be the worst Rite Aid I've ever been to read more

Rite Aid pharmacy in Port Orchard Sucks. The drive thru has not been open for months, they say it's because they can't find anybody to work but I go there late at night and they have 4 people working. I have seen that drive thru open many times with only 3 people working in the past. They are just lazy. Tonight I go there after checking the hours, says they are open until 10pm but when I get there at 8:30 they are closed. Poor management and lazy staff can't even update their hours. I say being downright rude isn't excusable. But with the pandemic and lack of staff we need to give them a break. It's not their fault! I'm happy with my experience's. The pharmacist I had were polite and helpful. These are difficult times. Not the best Rite Aid. The drive up pharmacy has a line that wraps around the perimeter of the store at 12pm and anytime after 3pm making it damn near impossible to pick up your prescriptions. The wait inside is no different. Anytime that I've gone into the main store after 5pm I will stand at the cash register waiting for the attendant to take their time stocking shelves before I am helped. PROS: Clean floors, generally stocked shelves. CONS: You MUST check expiration dates before you walk out of this store. The first time I went in was from a BOGO promotion for vitamins - bottles of 100+ pills, and they expired in 15 days. No, thanks. The three times I've gone in since then, because of one good deal or another in the weekly flyer, I've found old or expired goods on the shelves. I expect a company that big to have some kind of policy or procedure in place to prevent this from happening on such a regular basis. Totally unimpressed, and I've given up even looking through their weekly ad. It's just not worth the hassle - especially not with a Walgreens, a Safeway, and a Walmart literally across the street. read more

Walked in. Walked out. Didn't have chocolate malted crunch ice cream. Scratch that NO rite aid brand ice cream at all. I traveled from Minneapolis, Minnesota because of the great things I heard about this flavor. Needed to purchase tums but knew they'd be cheaper at the local Walmart. Won't be returning maybe because I live 25 hours away but mostly because there was no chocolate malted crunch ice cream. read more

The pharmacy is horrible! In fact every rite aid experience I've had has been a nightmare. Undertrained staff make it difficult to get your meds! I went in two days ago trying to get my medications filled from out of town. I had 3 refills left yet they still said I had to get authorization from my doctor even though one of those wasn't even a controlled substance. They then proceeded to contact an old doctor I no longer had to get authorization from a prescription my current doctor provided me. When I found out what they did I corrected them and contacted my provider. Rite aid still has not filled my medications and I'm out of meds. WARNING don't go here! read more

Absolute worst pharmacy you have ever had to deal with. They will give you a time that your medicine will be ready, but don't worry too much, it won't be ready then. Go ahead and add at least four hours to the time that they give you. This isn't an isolated incident either. This is every single time. And if they have an issue with filling your prescription, you will have no idea because they won't call you. They will just wait for you to come in to try and pick it up. read more

Shitty customer service! Very unpleasant people almost every time I have been here! This pharmacy is not helpful at all

I'm so fed up with this pharmacy. We had our prescriptions filled at Safeway for years without any problems, even after the store became a Haggen. Once Haggen closed our prescriptions were transferred to Rite Aid and it's been one issue after another: prescriptions not ready hours after I was told they'd be; refills not filled at all because no one bothered to put it into the system; delays in refilling pain meds because "you should have enough" even though I brought in a new prescription; failure to transfer prescriptions from another pharmacy after being specifically asked; no one really seeming to know what hell is going on; I could go on. Of the multiple times I've been in since October/November when our prescriptions were transferred only twice has everything been ready when I've gone in to pick them up. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I'm currently looking for a new pharmacy as I'm tired of giving this horrible place my hard earned money. read more

I've been with this pharmacy for over 20 years. Never had any major issues. my meds are always ready on time. I always get a reminder call so I know when I can pick my prescriptions up. I cant imagine that there would be any pharmacy that could do any better! Ill stick with them to the end! read more

Every time I get a new prescription it takes them two to three hours to fill it, and the always claim to "have just received you prescription " when I come in to pick it up. Would give less than one star if I could. Have changed to Target CVS pharmacy and they always have my prescription ready within the hour and also charge significantly less for the same items compared to Rite Aid. Rite Aid has lost another customer. read more
