This Rite Aid is "open" but it looks like it's going out of business. The shelves are mostly empty. Items that are available are mostly locked up behind display cases and to find somebody to help you is pretty much impossible if you actually wanted to get something out of the case. I went to purchase some cold medicine which had to be obtained from behind the counter at the pharmacy due to the ingredients. At least there was a pharmacist or a tech there who could help me. Most every day basic items that you want are not available. They carry thrifty brand ice cream so I went to the freezer case to look and they have one flavor which I decided to get. The freezers are so full of frost that each time I opened the door a bunch of snowflakes blew out. When I went to the register to check out, there was nobody there. I looked around and looked around and looked around and did not see any employees. Finally, I heard some rustling from an aisle way at the back of the store and walked over there and saw an employee doing something stocking perhaps? Anyway this place should just close because it really isn't serving any purpose. Maybe the pharmacy is doing something, but it feels like going into an abandoned building. read more

I've visited this rite aid a couple of times and have never had an issue. Staff has always been very nice when I come by. Some of their isles are a bit empty but for the most part I'm always able to find what I need. Their pharmacy does take a bit to get things done but seems like they are a bit short staffed or maybe the high demand for covid tests/vaccines more so now delays them. My favorite part of this rite aid is their Thrifty Ice cream. LOVE Thrifty ice cream. Reminds me of my childhood hometown and how my family would stop by on the weekends for a scoop. They always have the flavors I want and it's never been an issue. read more

There is no care or concern for the customer at this Rite Aid. It's truly sad. I stopped by to pick up a birthday card. Got to the register and they were out of receipt paper. The CSR never stated this just said ok ,when the transaction was completed on her end. Then I tried to purchase a bag of cheese crisp which were clearly displayed in the front of the store. Went in there today and my question is why would you post yellow sale tag before day of sale . I bought a few products that had yellow tag and when it didn't ring up half off the loud ass lady I think her name jamiere whatever it is mentioned they were short staff and put 'em up for tomorrow. It's been about 12 years since I posted my last review, and this store is desperate need of an RxEvolution makeover (https://bit.ly/3Let69X). Even though they installed new outdoor signage reflecting the new logo, the interior still uses the now-outdated "Customer World" design with absolutely no changes. Similar when Rite Aid was at the current Cardinas location, they aren't using the entire sales floor. Back then, they simply moved the back "wall" forward and used signs to block the view of the closed area, but there was still enough stock not for it to look empty. What the what?! A drug store that serves ice cream? Now I think I've seen everything. Too bad I wasn't in the mood for ice cream (it was a little cold and windy). Instead, I do what I do best in a drug store - wander around like a zombie and buy things that I didn't realize I need. Here's what I bought: $1.00 - a little duster for my car (update: it works really well!) $1.00 each - several packs of tiny little zip lock bags for meds $1.99 - a cheap little poncho for when I'm traveling and don't have an umbrella (I had a similar one that I've hauling with me on international trips for years; finally used it in Panama and loved using a poncho vs. an umbrella so my hands were free to photograph, so bought another one) Thanks for the cheap thrills, Rite Aid. read more

I've had very negative experiences with the pharmacists. They are always in a bad mood and treat the customers poorly. I've had issues many times receiving my medication at this location because they constantly have "system issues" and they're not able to get the order from my doctor. read more

I mostly review fishing tackle stores on Yelp: Dude, this place has lots of fishing gear. Its a lot better than Walmart or perhaps Big5. They even have Shimano Baitrunners under the counter. And crab nets. And Bait!! Other Rite Aids in the area don't carry fishing gear. I can get my prescriptions and fishing gear at the same place! read more

Just visited this store. It's nice looking but poorly run. 3 registers, only 1 of which was open ...and 1 with a very long line moving very slowly. Another employee was working but I guess it was her job to rearrange cds on the shelves next to the register while ignoring the customer backlog building up. Won't be back soon. Good luck. You may or may not find items for purchase here that even with receipt may or may not work and although have instructions for obtaining refund in such case of not working; May or may not have an active customer support with a working phone number. Once you bring this to their attention, you May or May not be presented with a solution outside of them calling the Vallejo Police Department on you (with claim that it's FOR you) because actually solving the problem would be unprofitable and the security guard would much rather get back to running her non profit business than seeing fair business being conducted. The people in the pharmacy are always helpful and nice. The cashiers at the front, however, tend to have terrible customer service. I stood at the ice cream counter for about 5 minutes and made eye contact with several employees and no one asked me if I needed help. When I'd finally flagged someone down he told me they weren't selling ice cream because they're getting a new freezer and then pointed to the freezer like I was supposed to deduce that they werent selling on my own because it was in the middle of the floor. Went back several weeks later and they still aren't selling ice cream and they still dont have their freezer installed. read more

I met her at the Hercules, Rite Aid pharmacy.I asked her what she was doing at the Vallejo pharmacy. She was very excited about her Hercules pharmacy being number 1 in the district for getting so many Shingle's vaccination that she offered her help to Vallejo pharmacy. She mentioned that she has been doing great job. She really fits the title of Wellness Ambassador. She is polite. The pharmacy staff do not seem to know what they are doing. You would think that if a script wasn't approved by insurance company they would tell you the alternatives , PRESCRIPTION WISE...I have had nothing but trouble with this pharmacy since I moved to Vallejo 8 months ago. I was on heavy pain meds, and every-time it came time to fill them they would give me a hard time, never mind I've been on it for 6 years, I didn't abuse it, then I got off the pain meds and they still treat me like a druggie off the streets. I gotta step up and support my neighborhood drugstore. Yes, your location is weird--tucked away from busy roads, yet, very plainly seen while driving West on I-80 (look for the tall sign the next time you pass Springs Road Exit). Your parking lot is always deserted (I have counted, at the most, 10 cars....even during the height of Christmas shopping season). A very apparent decline has occurred to small drugstores in recent times, and this Rite Aid is no exception. What used to be sections of the store are blocked off, the entire store is way too big for what it's selling, which is the usual fare. It's just a little sad that what looked like a once vibrant store is damaged. The pharmacy is sketchy. They mispelled my name so badly it makes you question if they are loading the right drugs in the bottles. It took multiple attempts to have my name corrected. The woman who corrected it was so sick and coughing all over everything; I wondered if I wasn't getting more sick standing there. Last week, the pharmacist refused to fill my pain medication prescription right after surgery because he thought we were trying to get unauthorized drugs. We had photos of the surgery that just happened hours ago, legitimate prescription scripts, my leg in bloody bandages, and proper ID. It was only after begging that he agreed to fill the prescription. When we came back to get the mega-pain pills, the other woman working was annoyed and just shoved over the drugs without offering a drug consultation. Just because half of your clientelle are sketch doesn't mean you should treat everyone like crap and with a suspicious eye. read more

Lawanda and Stephen were working the front registers while my boyfriend and I were waiting for ice cream. There was a long line at the registers so the wait was understandable. After about 5-7 minutes, Lawanda washed her hands and asked my boyfriend what he wanted. He said two scoops of chocolate chip. She said she couldn't hear him so he said it again. She said he couldn't hear him again so he said it again. She then asked him if he really wanted two scoops of chocolate chip and he said yes. Stephen then asked Lawanda if they wanted to switch so Stephen washed his hands and Lawanda went back to the front register. Stephen asked what I wanted and I told him I wanted a single scoop of rocky road. After I got my scoop, he said that the ice cream register was closed and that we had to pay at the front register. We had to stay in the long line to pay for our ice cream and by the time we paid we were almost done with everything. It wasn't the best experience and the workers didn't seem very happy. I understand they may have been short staffed but damn, let us pay for the ice cream and go. We already waited and then we had to wait again. The I've cream was delicious. Just wish we could've enjoyed it outside rather than in line. read more

This pharmacy used to provide good service and had pleasant staff, now it is very different. On one visit I waited over an hour for a medication (Rx) to be filled when the Pharmacy had received the order 3 hours earlier. After finally receiving my prescription when I got home I found that some of the pills were broken and could not be used and that I had received less than what the label stated was placed inside the container. So if you are looking for a quality Pharmacy this may not be place to use. Rite Aid might also think about giving the cashier that works at both the front register and Pharmacy Register a promotion she is a good employee, I don't know her name other than she is of Latin descent in her mid thirties and she is helpful. read more

I love this Rite Aid. The pharmacist and staff are professional, helpful and kind. It never takes long to get a prescription filled, and they deal with doctor's offices and insurance companies to keep it as stress free as possible. Once they didn't have a medicine I needed and they called around until they found it for me at a competitors store. The cosmetics section is great, the staff is always helpful and polite. I don't eat ice cream, but it's always busy, so it seems to be well loved. The layout is nice, it is well stocked and very clean. It has a nice drive through for the pharmacy, but so far I've only used it once- I like to go in and see the store. The bathrooms are very clean. I'm a happy customer as far as this Rite-Aid goes. read more

The store isn't the worst but the management could be better. There was a long line of around 5 people but cashier had a customer with a lot of items . The manager Ron (a rude,heavy set white guy) asked the cashier did she need help? She responded with a No I'm ok. Not true! So as he was exiting for lunch a young white lady in short shorts flags him down for help and he assisted her. The other cashier was still very busy and after checking the young lady out Ron the manager snubbed the other older white lady and I when suggested that we needed help and continued to exit again to lunch. Only after I asked for Ron the managers name did he get assistance for us and the now 4 more customers in line behind us. If anything changes then so will my review but thumbs down to management at this Rite aid. The cashiers were very friendly and the lines were long so business must be good enough to higher help if you need it. Of all the pharmacies I've ever used this one is the very WORST! On numerous occasions when I elected to call the pharmacy their staff kept me waiting on the line for upwards of eleven minutes. These people are as far from professional as one can imagine. I cannot express the amount of anger I feel after attempting to deal with these idiots. By comparison, the Rite Aid in Oakley, California is well run and attentive to detail. The new Rite Aid is a great store with wonderful customer service. I think Suzanne B. from Walnut Creek is lucky that she was ONLY threatened. It is IGNORANT people like her that this world could do without. She refers to Vallejo as a Ghetto town with Ghetto Rats, I'll pray for her, she needs it. While Vallejo is not perfect neither is Walnut Creek and she is not any better than us. They are awful! I bought a Vick humidifier and it didn't work. Do I took it back and exchanged it and that didn't work either. Because I was sick and couldn't find the receipt they would only give me half back. It wouldn't be so bad if I could have exchanged it for a different brand. But they only carry one kind.
