On Wednesday 10/1/25 a relative of mine was simply just trying to get a flu vaccination. Three of the pharmacy staffs took a look at the insurance card and could not figure out if they accepted it or not. This relative of mine had been coming to this pharmacy for over one year already and had picked up many prescriptions using this one insurance card for coverage. The pharmacy staff decided that they needed a different card "prescription card" for one entire year that has passed not once was this ever asked before. My relatives information has been in the system for one year already. The young woman with very short-haired and glasses with black scrubs who seemed to have more seniority. Would not help the young man at the cash register who also had short hair and black scrubs. The young man seemed to be very frustrated and nervous. So he provided me with some information for my relatives insurance comp. My mentally disabled relative could not receive her flu shot due to the fact of the pharmacy staff stating the insurance card is has expired and is not in the system. My family and I left the pharmacy and went over to cvs in the same town since my relative has also used them over the years as well. The experience at cvs was so phenomenal. Not only was my relative greeted and treated so kindly, but was also given the flu vaccination using the same exact and only insurance card. This Walgreens Pharmacy really should be ashamed of themselves for the behavior me and my family witnessed and how my relative fell of victim to. A formal phone call complaint was made within the same hour and reported to the shift manager named Chris (female) who apologized on behalf of the pharmacy staff. Chris also stated that due to her position she didn't have the authority to oversee the pharmacy customer service.Chris also stated she will hand over the information to her overseeing manger Christina. Unfortunately Christina the main manager had just left for the day. Chris assured that a phone call back with an update would take place the following day. CHRISTINA THE MANAGER may have never received the information. My relative called back the next day,and received alot of hang ups, excuses for call backs. It became very unprofessional and distasteful and represents a big stain on the store. No accountability was taken and that is unacceptable. Today is October 5, 2025. It's in the hands of corporate management now. This absolutely needed to be spoken on the inappropriate, disregarded,discriminatory acts of customer service given by walgreens Pharmacy staff and store managers. I really hope this doesn't continue and a lesson is taught in how it's effortless to be kind to one another. Best regards.

There was one left and it was on sale! Score! I was then taken in by all of the seasonal displays and the massive holiday aisle. Thankfully, along several aisles, there are baskets stacked for your convenience. Because if you're like me, you come in for a couple things, and soon your hands are full! Story of my life. So I grabbed a basket and it didn't take me long to fill it with candies, gifts, cookies, stuffed toys, makeup and accessories. I also stocked up on travel items from the great inventory on the travel section on the back wall of the store. I picked up some magazines too! I saw some Pez dispensers, and it was tempting to add them to my basket as I was an avid Pez collector but I used my will power to leave them for another PEZhead! This store is well stocked, clean, organized, and the sections as clearly marked making it a breeze to navigate along the aisles. Check out was seamless and the employees were pleasant. What's not to like about this corner convenient pit stop and pharmacy? (The parking lot and front could use a tidy, but other than that, it's a easy quick stop for your seasonal, office, grocery, office, photo, household, & health and beauty needs).

It was easy to navigate and the red box at the front was easy to use to check what the sale is on my items! Gio, the shift supervisor, assisted us at checkout and took care of everything smoothly. Our checkout was lengthy so he was able to assist other guests at self checkout and coordinated other associates to help guests in line. So she asked me to help her out, get some prescriptions and OTC stuff at this Walgreens, right near both our houses and drop it off on her porch. Sure, is Sunday afternoon, I'm not doing anything else. Go to the pharmacy, easy as pie. Bam, get the Rx. Time to get the OTC stuff via curbside to go and this whole trip will be 15 minutes. Park in the curbside to go parking spot, call the store, tell them who I'm picking up for, "OK we'll be right out." 10 minutes later, nothing. I text her, she says she'll call. 5 minutes later, "OK, they said they'll be right out." Another 5-10 minutes go by, I call again, and then they tell me I need to come in to present my ID. This isn't ideal, because I have a toddler, who hasn't mastered wearing a mask yet, but I could have made it work, if I had just known right away that I needed to go in (like if the guy on the phone had just told me the first time I called?). Also, why can't they just check my ID in the car. Also, if they didn't realize that they needed ID prior to hanging up the first time and didn't have my number to call back, just walk out to my car and tell me. And then, why lie/withold this information from her when she called too?? I finally went inside, and they didn't even care about the inconvenience. Would have easily been a 5 star review for the pharmacy, but the curbside fiasco, waiting almost a half an hour drove that way down. I understand everyone is under a lot of stress/inconvenience with COVID, but like, use common sense/decency.

Since a lot of local pharmacies have recently closed, I went to Walmart to pick up my medications…read moreyesterday after receiving a text notification that the prescription was sent in by my provider. The pharmacy technician was kind, but the interaction I had with the pharmacist ended up being like nothing I've ever experienced. After explaining that I do have insurance but that I often can pay a lower price for my medications using an Rx coupon card, my information was run through the system. The pharmacist asked me to come to the window, explaining that despite using the discount card in place of insurance, my insurance card was still required. I provided the insurance card immediately and the pharmacist kept it in hand for the next few minutes. I was called to the window again by the pharmacist where she explained that one of my prescriptions was sent to Rite Aid as well. I explained to her that yes, my provider initially sent my prescription to Rite Aid, but since the store is closing, they notified me via phone that they would be unable to refill the prescription. Therefore, my doctor sent the prescription to Walmart instead. After I explained the situation, she understood. I have NO clue what caused this, but here comes the ludicrous behavior -- The pharmacist returned to the counter, called me over, handed me my insurance card back, and said "So...I just wanted to let you know I will not be refilling your prescription here today". I asked her if she could explain to me why so I'd be aware of any issue that might be a barrier to refilling my prescription at a different pharmacy. The pharmacist grew agitated and said "I'm not refilling your script because you're not being truthful! You're not telling the truth!". I asked her what i hadn't been truthful about. She said "you LIED, you said you didn't have insurance and you DO". I paused, genuinely confused, and said "...but you JUST handed me back my insurance card. I told you and the pharmacy technician that I have insurance, just that my medication is more affordable with the coupon code I've been using (for 3+ YEARS) at my previous pharmacy)". She waved her arms in the air at me and started to walk away. I asked her again, "Just to clarify, you're not going to refill my medication because you said i wasn't truthful about having insurance, but you just handed me back my insurance card that I gave to you to input the information?". The pharmacist said "you LIED you said you didn't have insurance and that's why I'm not refilling your prescription here today or EVER. Find another pharmacy". I'm sitting here still feeling baffled at the experience I had with this pharmacist. I've ran through it a few times in my head and still don't understand where the accusations came from claiming i lied about having insurance. I also have no idea where this woman's hostility came from. My medication was due for refill, I arrived to pick up the medication after it was sent over by my doctor, and was shouted at with false accusations continually (despite me maintaining my patience and not returning the aggression). I understand we all have bad days, but this pharmacist's behavior was completely unacceptable and caused absolute disgust within my doctor's office when i told them what happened, as well as some of her coworkers who had a visual reaction to her behavior. I will NEVER go to this pharmacy again and I hope no one has to deal with this woman in this way ever again either. If a medical provider is prescribing a patient their medication, the patient should NOT face accusations, judgement, or dismissal from the person whose job it is to dispense the medication. I'm so disgusted and I hope no one ever has an encounter like this, but please be cautious with this pharmacy if you're looking to find a new one - would NOT recommend....

This is a go-to if, like me, the thought of dealing with CVS and Walgreens gives you a headache.

I mentioned this to the cashier and he said I need to use my card. I returned the candy and he processed my refund. He said I needed to prove identity to get the refund. I gave him my VA card. He said that was not acceptable. I gave him my CT drivers license. He said it expired in 2023. I said it's the same information, has a photo and CT license #. He said the refund would not process without a current drivers license. I dug out my current drivers license and gave it to him and he processed the refund. We then rang up the candy again with the Walgreens card and it gave me the 25% discount and I saved @ $10.00. I am wondering why I had to show ID to get a refund from something I just purchased with cash 2 minutes prior. The sign on the candy did not say 25% off with use of card. It said 25% off. Long fight ensued. I transferred my profile to smaller pharmacy WHO DELIVERS, CVS does not and said I would still be using them for 24 hour, emergency etc. Critical care pulmonology called script to CVS, my new smaller pharm not open. I was never notified CVS received it. 24 hours later and an ER visit later CVS pharmacy said you moved to another pharmacy. Neglect, negligence and retaliation. Then I get message, to save their asses, there is an order issue. Mind you now 26 hours later told by another pharmacist insurance issue Dr contacted. Can they say lawsuit? Doh reports, licensing complaints? CVS played a very dangerous game and now they will pay for it.
