Not very friendly or approachable, but I saw some cute cocktail glassware and decided to make a purchase. Sadly, that evening, the paper bag with the glasses wrapped in tissue paper, lightly tipped over on the dinner table and one of the glasses shattered. I thought it would be worth a try to go back and see if they could accommodate with a solution as the glasses had not even been unwrapped yet. I went back, and the same man was there. He was extremely hostile when I asked if he could help me out in any way. When I mentioned that the glasses were only wrapped in tissue paper, he became very defensive and suggested that I was blaming him for the accident. "It's my fault," he yelled. He very childishly huffed and puffed through the store as he grabbed me a new glass and some bubble wrap. As he handed back the bag, he very rudely said, "don't blame me if you're not careful and it breaks again." Although I don't think it was his fault, I don't imagine the glass would have broken if it had been well wrapped the first time around. To have a grown man yell at me, a young women in my 20s, felt extremely scary, disrespectful, and and sad that this is a world where men think they can speak to women so harshly.
