Holy Christ, This poutine is the best food that's ever touched my taste buds. No other poutine place even comes to Rivs chipstand. I have been to many poutine places, this by far is the best that I've tried in my life. They have lots of hot fresh gravy, fries and cheese curds large portions and a fair price. Pogos, burgers and the deserts are all so good as well. Staff is nice and are friendly. Nice seating area inside and under shade you order outside the front and wait for your name to be called. Yea the poutine here is money. The pogos and burgers are meh but it still easily gets 5 stars because of how amazing the poutine is. My girlfriend is from Europe and had never had a real poutine (cheese curds) so I decided to take her here when we were visiting Ontario. She will remember this place as being one of the highlights of our trip and I know she will force me to make the 30 min drive from North Bay the next time we visit haha. read more

Great food! I go to rivs all the time during the summer!! Poutine is always extremely cheesy and the service is great. I do wish that there were more seating though, on hot summer days theres not always any extra seating available and i sometimes had to eat in my hot car on a nice extremely hot day. read more

Food was great, staff very sweet! The portions are too big! Prices are high. These were $11.95 Maybe a suggestion is to share a med! Smaller size options would be better. It also took along time to get our fries. I hate wasting food, and we know fries and gravy don't heat back up very well. read more

As others have posted, fries, pogos, burgers, poutine, chicken burgers, etc... they're all delicious. If you're driving through Sturgeon Falls, this place is definitely worth stoping for. We live just over an hour away and also have a cottage about 45 minutes away and we've made trips just to eat here. read more

Made a huge order for eight people on Saturday, picked it up, bought it home to find missing items and wrong toppings on the burgers. contacted them to let them know where we were told we could come and get them now or at a later date. We decided we would like the missing items for lunch yesterday. I went to their counter to be told it was only one burger and a small coleslaw. I showed them Saturdays receipt so they decided to finally give me the missing items. It seemed like over a half hour wait when i finally got the food. Bought it home, two burgers and what should have been a large coleslaw. When we opened the bag, yes there were two burger but only an individual coleslaw which was even filled. The burgers were actually disgusting, the meat tasted like it was old and sitting out for a while. Both my husband and I has terrible stomach pains and the runs. We will never eat o recommend Rivs again. Thank goodness Larry's is finally opened, thats where we're heading the next time. Riv's should be ashamed of the self's. read more

OMFG BEST POUTINE EVER!!!! Such a generous serving and SO GENEROUS with the (REAL) cheese curds!!! Also, pogos and mostly everything else is great there. Comes complete with cute little french girls who give good service. read more

Nothing better than greasy ass fries. As the others said, this place has great fries. It takes a while to cook them, so don't come here expecting super speedy service. Although you would think with fries being their number one selling item(their only item afiak), they would always have some on the go ready to be served at a moment's notice. read more

Stopped by passing through town. I heard this spot was good. We we looking for fish and chips. It was on special that day. We ordered 3 pieces to share. Were very disappointed to see that it was frozen fish fillets. Felt cheated out of our meal that was over $15. I could've went to the grocery store and bought 3 boxes of Captain Highliner for that price. If it was fresh, I have no problem paying that price. But frozen it was definitely not worth it. read more
