This was my 2nd visit to Dock Rotz, the 1st time the food and service was FANTASTIC so I decided to…read morego again and take my mom for her birthday. It was on a Tuesday during lunch. Thank goodness for the food runner refilling drinks & removing dirty dishes because the waitress was absolutely AWFUL (even after asking for refills we didn't get them). The food wasn't as good as the 1st visit either. We had burnt sandwiches & dry fish. Our first visit was after lunch rush, my suggestion is to go at an office peak time. The owners should seriously think about providing some training for the waitstaff to get them up to par on successfully doing their job

Interesting place with bar food and a decent atmosphere. I was warned that service was slow, but…read morethat wasn't the case sat down and placed my order and had my appetizer in 8 minutes. Hot and fresh. Only problem is that the cheese sauce has a film and was like water. It was scorching hot though. The burger was good sized, hot, and juicy. I wish that they offered to cook it to a temp other than mid-well. Over all, this place is fine. Nothing fancy, you get what you pay for. If I were in town again, I'd stop in again. Just a note. They charge a 3% surcharge if you pay by credit card. It's not noted anywhere with signage. It's not on the menu in fine print. It shows up on your bill. I've heard people say that "if you can't afford to tip, don't eat out. Well if you have to charge people a surcharge to pay by credit card, then don't open a restaurant. If you are going to do that, then post it on the menu and at the front counter so people know.

A bar in the middle of nowhere. You're going to get exactly what you expect. I went here to check…read moreout a buddy of mine's band. Pretty cool little set up. They played outside on a spacious deck which is nice. Better than being cramped up inside a smelly bar. Interesting, pro-war crowd of drunks. Which can be expected, considering it was "Support the Troops" night. Didn't appreciate the pushiness they had though when it came to it. I don't know how many ways I can say, "No. I don't want to buy a raffle ticket for a TV I don't need to support the troops." This is America, our government loves war, I'm sure the troops are getting plenty of support. The lady then proceeded to try and talk my brother into buying a ticket for me and at that point I really thought about leaving...why don't you buy a raffle ticket for me lady, if you're so into supporting the troops? People like that annoy me. And that's exactly the crowd this place has. $10 to get in. Not sure if it's always like this, but man, that's kind of a lot for a bar out in the middle of nowhere. The beer was cheap. That's a good thing. The bartender wasn't the friendliest person in the world, but she was somewhat quick. Believe me people, a smile here or there goes a long way. And it's not that hard to do. I believe I said this already, but I really enjoyed the fact that they had an outside area. It was a nice night out. Free jello shots by the end of the night. Nice. My friend's band was great. Overall, this place was all right. Just the people who worked here were not the friendliest and the fact that they were so in your face about buying raffle tickets was definitely something I did not appreciate. Hopefully I'll never have to venture out here again. So UGH.
