We came here on recommendation of some friends, and the Yelp! Reviews were pretty good. We ordered from the cinco de mayo specials they had for this week. The menu showed 4 tacos, the menu said you get 3 and what I got were two slightly stale shells wrapped in tin foil with my entree. The service was good, but In my opinion the food was just average. I guess technically it's mostly a bar, in which case it's probably better than most. Ordered carryout and the wings are very very good. Buffalo sauce is great and for the most part wings were good sized. Would definitely order again when I am back in town. Wings are my favorite food so I have been trying to try all the spots every time I come back for work and I think these just jumped to the top spot read more

OMG - GOOD BARBEQUE! We were hunting for a place for lunch in Dixon, and my wife suggested this place. Good suggestion. I ordered their Pit Smoked Pork Sandwich, with the optional more expensive Truffle Fries. Let me start with the sandwich - oh, was it soooo good. Hot, tender, and the BBQ sauce was outstanding! The Truffle Fries were nothing to trifle about (excuse the pun). They were well-seasoned, tasted great, and were nice, hot and fresh. My wife had their Texas Cheesesteak Sandwich, again with the Truffle Fries. She really enjoyed her sandwich - she said it was very tasty. We went with non-alcoholic drinks since I had to go back to work. The Root Beer was good, and she really liked here iced tea. While we were there, I grabbed a piece of their cheesecake, which wasn't as good as their Pit Smoked Pork Sandwich, but hit the spot. Service was attentive and helpful. I liked the decor in the place - just enough to catch your eyes, not enough to get lost in the background. Two large screen TVs over the bar show different events (in this case, golf and something else) and the bar back looked clean. We had the Bacon Gouda Mac Bites. It was very filling as the inside had a thick creamy cheese with i think shredded potatoes/hashbrown. Next had the boneless chicken with Buffalo sauce. It looks crunchy but it was more of a breaded texture. There was a good amount of buffalo sauce for each piece. The ranch sauce had the perfect thickness for those that love that consistency. The side dish i tried was the potatoe casserole. I definitely recommend if you're tired of fries. It was creamy hashbrowns with cheese. Good size portions for the price. There is a free parking spot across the street and only a few minutes walk to the river front. read more

I worked here for 6 months and recently quit. There were multiple times we went weeks without having soap in the place or one soap for the kitchen and waitresses to share. It got to the point where I was bringing my own soap in. This place is not clean at all. Would not recommend eating here or you may find yourself sick. The place would be nice if the owners knew how to manage in a professional manner. I was threatened by another coworker my last shift and when telling the owner this, she texted me back the next day "if you're that threatened I'd say calling the police is your answer not throwing me your tone." There is never adequate help scheduled making it almost impossible to give a customer the experience they deserve. If you frequent Friday and Saturday nights you know this is 100 percent accurate. read more

Oh man. If you haven't eaten at this place..... do it! Not one complaint! They have came miles since the last time I was here. Toby was great! Tex mex chicken wrap had no sauce and barely any chicken in it. I felt like i was eating a kids meal. The loaded potato soup was very watery, not loaded at all. The Sriracha cheese curds were not very spicy and seemed to be frozen before cooking perhaps. And to me they were cooked too long. The cowpoke burger was for someone else and they described it to me as a burger they would have made at home drunk. And the bun reminded them of the walmart or dollar general type Buns. Was excited for a new place to dine out in Dixon but i was disappointed. Perhaps in the future, like in a year or so ... My Husband and I ate here tonight, for the first time, and - Wow!!! We loved it, and will definitely go back. Everything was truly Awesome - the food, drinks, and service were all fantastic As someone who's actually worked in restaurants my whole life, and who still waits on people for a living - I even said to my Husband that our Server (Hannah) was so nice, and seemed really, like, thoroughly knowledgeable about everything. When we asked about different appetizers, she gave us actual reasons why we might prefer one over the others depending on what we were looking for. She took time to explain what the different menu items were like, and we ended up really happy with the things that we picked because of that. She also made me a couple of mocktails, and it just was so nice to have someone still put some effort into making my drinks even without alcohol. The one was so pretty - I couldn't help but smile when I saw the little umbrella. I mean - who doesn't love a little fun drink umbrella??? I seriously never write reviews, really ever, but I at least wanted to mention something about this place because we really did enjoy everything and felt really welcome. read more

This restaurant just opened up and they are serving fantastic food and mixed drinks! The decor matches the town of Dixon and the small town vibe. The staff was professional and took great care of us. The owners or the women who seemed to be responsible for the business asked for feedback and made sure we were taken care. My husband liked the local beers they had on tap. He did wish they had a bigger selection of IPA Craft Beer. The food was great. We didn't wait long at all for our food. We hope you try the new business and support local.
