I moved to Richmond about 7 years ago right out of college from Michigan where I had played college lacrosse. Pain in my lower back was so bad I couldn't even run a quarter mile - which is insane given that I was a college athlete - and I had developed severe acid reflux where it felt like I was having heart attacks multiple times a week. I tried a few different chiropractors in the area but none seemed to be able to find my exact subluxation pattern and truly help me. Then I found Dr. Luke - it was amazing. I started off by going a couple times a week and literally by week 2 I could already start to feel relief. By the end of the first year I was down to going 3x/week and my symptoms - both the lower back pain and acid reflux - were ~90-95% gone. About a year and a half ago now, I started experiencing minor hip pain, back pain, and occasional headaches. As the headaches got worse, I sought help from a message therapist, but it didn't seem to help. By the time I found Dr. Luke and River City Chiropractic Wellness, I was having multiple headaches a day and was waking up with migraines. Not only because it's good for you, but it seemed to make my efforts with my stretches more effective as well. 4) GIVE IT TIME. Do not freak out if you don't see progress right away. I have been seeing Dr. Luke since May of 2015. River City Chiropractic Wellness was invited to our Health Fair at the Richmond Federal Building. His wife, Mrs. Luke came to offer their professional services. She conducted posture exams and sent e-mails of the results the very next day to identify potential problems. She was very friendly and professional. My first appointment was on May 19, 2015. I could barely walk when I first went to them because of my bad knees. Dr. Luke greeted me, conducted several tests, and adjusted me the same day. I left out of his office that day singing, "I'm walking on sunshine, oh-oh and don't it feel GOOD!" He educated me about how important the spine is and all of it's functionality. I was so grateful that they came to the Health Fair that day. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Luke and his team have significantly improved my quality of life! I've worked with chiropractic care for 13 years and been happy with it, but Dr. Luke's expertise goes well beyond simple adjustments!
