I had my first appointment today! It was a consultation, and this is the first time I've ever been to a chiropractor where they took x-rays. It seems so obvious now that it would be part of the plan of care yet, I've never had it done. Also during my appointment, I received electrotherapy and had a mild adjustment and then laid on a rolling table! Much more than I thought I was going to get at a consultation appointment. I have my follow up appointment tomorrow to discuss the findings of the x-ray and determine the treatment plan. This is never been the case at any other chiropractor I've been to. Other places do a visual exam and then an adjustment and tell you to come back for another apt..no real plan which was the exact opposite of what I experienced here! Top-notch service. Friendly. Wonderful Experience. Dr. Tyson, Ashley and Sue are fabulous. In process of decompression series as a result of 2 bulging disk, 2 bone spurs and immense pain. Finding non surgical relief with a holistic alternative is a fantastic experience. Highly recommend. read more

They told me they accepted my UnitedHealthcare insurance, took my co-pay and then, much later, they billed me the entire amount ($228 for one visit!). I called and asked about this and they told me tough, you signed the contract. I'm SO glad I didn't get a lot of treatments as the bill didn't come in until months later and I'd have received a delayed bill for THOUSANDS of dollars. read more

History

Established in 2012.

Dr. Tyson has chosen to focus his practice on a more spinal rehabilitation approach than typical chiropractors do. He utilizes Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP), which is like looking at the spine from a structural engineering perspective. Both pre- and post-X-rays are taken during treatment to actually see the changes that are being made in the spine. And the goal is to bring the spine back to as near normal of a state as possible. This method combines rehabilitation and chiropractic together to affect lasting spinal change, and not just bring symptomatic change. CBP® in short, is a higher level of chiropractic that actually corrects the problem and allows the patient to maintain the correction. It is a more knowledgeable, comprehensive, systematic, scientific approach to chiropractic that provides objective and predictable results for patients.

Meet the Manager: Dr. Shawn T.

Dr. Shawn T. Tyson majored in Health Sciences and minored in Exercise Physiology in his undergraduate studies at Bridgewater University. After graduation he headed to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Life University where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with an emphasis in Clinical Spinal Biomechanics.
