They are all about building relationships with each other and helping all the attendees find and follow Jesus. What I enjoy most about our pastors is that they teach directly out of the Bible and also use other reliable resources to back up what the Bible is telling us. Everyone is welcome! And the church always has Some sort of gathering whether it be Study Groups, Church Camps, Parents Night out, Woman's Tea Parties or PotLucks. Pastor James Starr has a real God given gift for teaching the Bible and he does so in a way that everyone can relate to. This church doesn't make you feel bad if you can't give a tithe and the focus is always on teaching, giving back to the community and helping those in need. They do fundraisers and give to needy families. There is a very palpable sense of sincerity and love from the members. During the middle school sermon, private parts showing during a pants accident at a wedding was brought up, the pastor saying "you like Diddy" to a child was said, as well as some other things that made me feel like the twilight zone went on. I brought up my concerns to leadership and was told that I was not invited back to volunteer. My point wasn't to accuse, but to say hey, um I think that your pastor needs a refresher in what's Sunday school appropriate. I noticed most kids did not want to be in his group, they did not laugh at his jokes, and generally did not seem to enjoy it. I was disappointed at the lack of curiosity in my concerns and defensive response to what I think was a reasonable concern. I highly recommend volunteering, maybe I was just sensitive, maybe too protective. They need help so if you're a member volunteer. Pastor Dave says if you see a problem, that you're the answer. Haha guess not in this case. Also there was a weird "I'm the only black person here" comment..... idk. It was the weirdest Sunday School I ever saw. The HS band deserves 10 stars. Lots of good, but lots of odd.

So why not head over to Evergreen? We'd been to a couple of their Christmas services and we miss going to a big church, so this fit the bill. The worship music was awesome and the new pastor is young and funny. He's not as good as my pastor to be honest, but he's good and has a lot of energy. I like how they have both self-serve coffee and baristas so you can purchase a customized drink. Plus they serve pastries from The Bread Peddler, which is the best. We went to the service at noon and there was enough parking, even during service so it was nice and easy.

Confession on Saturdays at 2 or 3 pm. Father Tim is very easy to understand and kind to all. I love our diversity. Fr. Clement is new and from Malawi. We have Philippinos, Koreans, and other Islanders. There's more so please forgive me if I left out a group. All people groups are valued. We are all God's creation. The focus at Sacred Heart Church during Mass is on the Liturgy of the Eucharist, and the diligent wearing of masks and distancing ensures that our elder members are protected. Come join us!

Very friendly people and helpful. Did my share of volunteering where I met many more people. Got acquainted with my husband of 23 years at the church . I recommend this Foursquare Church to others. It takes a few visits when getting to know a new church sometimes. We've even traveled out of state to visit previous pastors, they always remember us.
