Installer damaged most of the tiles. Their suggested fix was for me to go ahead and pay and then they could redo the whole thing after I'd paid. They also came and tried to put some paint like substance on top that just made it worse. Scheduling with them was such a nightmare I'll jsut live with the terrible work. They gave me less than 12 hours notice multiple times trying to get this scheduled (including calling me at 4pm on a Friday to have someone come on a Saturday- um no we have plans). Finally told me he would come on a Thursday and it would be a one day job-it wasn't so I had to cancel going out of town. Nightmare experience from start to finish. read more

We had our first floor put in our home in November 2021, we bought Happy Feet LVP from River City Flooring. This process was less than smooth with the installers not showing up on the day they were supposed to and then when they did show up the next day the only one who spoke English left so communicating with them was a nightmare! When the one who spoke English came back, he left my flooring in the back of their truck sitting in the sun the whole time, when I asked if it should be brought in he said no. I then asked if this flooring needed to have a moisture barrier pad under it and again was told no. At the end of the installation, I had almost 2 boxes of extra flooring and asked if I could please get a refund on it, I was told by Tim "well, there will be a restocking fee to do that so it's really not worth it." Jump forward to June of this year and my flooring was buckling. I started calling the store asking for someone to come look at my floors. I originally spoke to Keith who said he would have Tim call me, which he never did. The following week we went on vacation so tried to call again when we got back home. Another week passed and we were now in to July. I finally spoke to Tim who said he would be by my house that night before going to church, he didn't show up. I finally was fed up so tracked down who the owner of the company was and sent him a message regarding the run around I was getting. Needless to say, Keith showed up to my home that night. Immediately he says it was a manufacturer problem and he would file a warranty claim on it. Approximately a week and a half later an independent inspector comes to see the floor. Her determination was that the installers, who River City Flooring hired, had not done the job correctly. They had not left any expansion gaps and my floor had also drawn moisture from there not being a moisture barrier put down first. My floor was never tested for moisture either. So we begin the replacement process and I decided to put the LVP in my dining room also which had not been done previously. This was approximately an additional 111 sq ft. On the initial quote I was sent not only did they want me to pay for the labor cost to remove the floor but only wanted to credit me $3745.17 when my initial purchase was $4086.92. They also charged me $76.99 again for taking up the toilet and placing a new seal again, I didn't argue that point because I thought there was a cost there of the seal. When my toilet was lifted and placed back, there was no new seal installed so I got taken on that charge. My bottom line after purchasing the labor to install the additional flooring, labor to cut a 4 ft section of tile, moisture barrier, additional flooring and quarter round for my dining room was $1242.06. At the end of the job, I had 2 1/2 boxes of tile left that was not used. Each box covers 23.89 sq ft for a total of 47.78 sq ft at a total cost to me at $3.79 sq ft of $181.09 plus $17.20 tax so $198.29. Remember, I also had one box left from the first install, which I have no use for now or in the future, at a cost of $106.00. I called the store regarding these last two boxes and asked for a refund on them, two boxes extra is excessive in my opinion to expect a customer to pay for. Keith actually had the audacity to say that I had not paid for those??? I reminded him that yes, I had paid for those in the $1242.06 that I had paid them for the additional flooring and moisture barrier. He then says "I just don't feel like you're being appreciative of what we did for you in replacing your floor." Hello, you hired the installers who did not do the installation correctly and I'm supposed to be appreciative that you took the responsibility you should have? I paid for everything extra I added over the initial installation and had no problem with doing that but I DO NOT feel that I should have to pay for two additional boxes of tile just because Tim did not order it correctly! Keith then says "Well, I'll have to contact the owner about a refund because he had to eat the cost of this so I doubt he will approve a refund." Keith has never called me back. So, my advice to anyone is to NOT use River City Flooring! They will charge you for extra product and apparently there is nothing you can do about that and they also make profit off of the charge they do for labor. I forgot to ask the last installers what they were being paid but the first installers were being paid $1 sq ft but I was charged $2.39 a sq ft. They are shiesty, so beware if you choose to use them! Fingers crossed that my flooring actually last this time, but if not I'll be contacting an attorney! A very upset customer, Sheila Torres Conway, AR! Update to the review. I have to change the review on River City Flooring. The general manager called me after reading my reviews. We talked and he made the necessary adjustments to make me a happy customer. The work that they did was really good, but there were a few issues that needed to be worked out. He called me personally and was very pleasant and made me feel that I was an important customer. One thing he did was listen to me and made me feel that he understood my point. Communicating with the customer equals good customer service. In this case, he reached out and made me feel like I was important. If you need some flooring done, River City Flooring is the company you should call. read more

My parents used them. The floor has had to be replaced twice. Avoid at all costs. Only your attorney will be able to reach them.

My parents, who are retired, had their water heater burst and ruin 3 rooms of carpeting and a hallway. The same week their washer ran over and since they had already filed a claim with insurance for new flooring, they decided to get the kitchen/laundry area done too. They picked out carpet and laminate from River City flooring. The product itself is fine. Not great, but ok. Professional installation though - far from it. I have worked around flooring installers, cabinet makers, plumbers and electricians for almost 25 years. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism those sent by River City flooring have provided. The first day River City is scheduled to come, led by Andrew, no one shows until 2:30 pm - no phone call to say they would be late and all they did was unload supplies. My parents were forced to stay in a hotel because they had cleared out all rooms in order to be ready for installation. They didn't have a bed set up to sleep on. Day in and out after that, they didn't start until 9 or 10 am, but they always left by 4:30. Then, they constantly ran out of materials. They couldn't use carpet tacking because it was cracking the concrete (so they said) so they used glue and the carpet didn't stick. If they had the appropriate tool, the concrete wouldn't have cracked and they could have used carpet tacking strip. They broke a $200 range grill because they moved it and it fell and broke and they didn't offer to pay for it but instead tried to give my parents a guilt trip about the installer not having liability insurance! They also tore a piece out of the kitchen cabinet kick plate, which is maple wood, when taking out the old flooring with a crowbar. They didn't offer to repair it. A job that should have taken 2 days, 3 max with professionals is going on its 7th and they still are not done! They ran out of materials again, started another job and my parents house is still turned upside. Don't get me started on the quarter round installed around the vinyl flooring which they are stapling instead of nailing. It looks terrible. I keep asking my parents to get a supervisor to come look at the work, to report the oven grill and the other things or to take pictures, but my mom says she feels sorry for the installer because he has a young child at home and needs the work. He has been telling them personal details about his home life and financial situation trying to gain sympathy. The only ones I feel sorry for are my parents and them having to suffer through this flooring installation. At this point, I would NEVER recommend River City Flooring to anyone. read more

River City Flooring, did an amazing job in a house that I have on the market to sell. The flooring is beautiful and has received many compliments. The young men who installed the flooring are very prompt and dedicated workers. Most of all, their representative Mandi Maddox is an outstanding person. She cheered me up at a time it was most needed because of all the work ahead of me, just cleaning and restoring the house after damage done by renters. We need more people like Mandi in this world.
