On 6-1-25 I bought a mattress and paid for haul-away service. Salesman Darius said then he could…read morenot guarantee they would even get it to the curb due to sanitation concerns. After I got it to the curb *myself*, I called him to request a refund of haul-away: he said it was not the company's fault my mattress was nasty, but offered a refund of $35 which would appear on my cc the next billing cycle. I accepted, and asked if I needed to come to the store, and he said not unless you need a receipt. I said no-BIG MISTAKE! And I have never received that refund. Matt Firm did not honor its contract.

A few things I would have considered and maybe done differently is deeper book cases on the barn door as I didn't think about where I would store bedding and pillows. I love the depth of the shaker bed, they are deeper than normal, I know it isn't the norm but it sure adds a lot of flexibility. I personally love the option of having deeper mattresses, I wish we would have done both of ours to fit 14". We did 1 mattress 12" and one 13" One thing to think about is having it deep enough so you can leave the bed made with sheets and a light blanket.

We had some weather in the Northeast, but the real problem seems to be that when the bed leaves their shop, they become clueless as to its whereabouts. By their own admission they are over-capacity, so this will be a "whatever" to them, but they disappointed a kid and lost what could have been a lifelong customer.
