From the ladies working the pumpkin stand, to the lady in the gift shop. I bought an excellent pumpkin soufflé candle and some jam. The lady was nice enough to keep our bags while we enjoyed the happenings, and then we were able to retrieve them when it was time to leave. There were also lots of portable restrooms onsite- they called it "potty town USA" Also, there were booths for food and drink, so you really could make a whole afternoon of roaming around here. I was bummed that I didn't get to go on the hayride since people in my party petered out before we had time to do it, but this just gives me incentive to go back again next year!

There is a ton of shade to walk under. The animal enclosures are large and spacious. We hit it with perfect timing right when the zoo opened at 10 am so most animals were active right after their morning feedings. There are interactive talks at the exhibits scheduled throughout the day. It is not quite as random as at smaller zoos where you might stumble across a team member willing to share their passion about one of the animals. There is some ongoing construction so you have to double back on the route. The food they had was very good and affordable for a large tourist attraction. Would definitely return!

There was an impressive diversity of animals, and most of them were visible and easy to observe. We saw elephants, lions, panthers, and even some playful monkeys that danced and interacted near the windows, which was a highlight for us. It was a bit crowded the day we visited, but the zoo still felt spacious and comfortable to walk through. I would describe it as medium-sized, but very well laid out with plenty to see. Overall, this was one of our favorite zoo experiences. It surpassed both the San Antonio Zoo and the Austin Zoo for us simply because of the number and variety of animals. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was fun, and the entire visit was enjoyable from start to finish. We will definitely be coming back.

I have been holding off on going to Sea Life because my friends say it's small and not worth the…read moretime. I got in with the Get Out pass and thought it was a great time. Sure, it's small in comparison to the Dallas Aquarium but that's comparing apples to oranges. They're in different ballparks so just appreciate Sea Life for what it is. There are pockets of areas for the kids to climb through and on. There aren't too many photo opportunities because the whole place is dimly lit. There is an area for kids to color sea life and bring it alive but the projector wasn't working. Our favorite parts were learning facts on the walls and from staff members spread throughout the aquarium. They have an itinerary of shows but we didn't make any of them. If you're looking for an escape from the heat/cold, come check them out. You can even tough a stingray!

There are plenty of parking outside and it's right by the entrance when you walk in. First impression of this aquarium was that everything felt like it was out of place. Either we got lucky or the timing was right since we did not have anyone in line in front of us. They gathered us in a group with a guide to help everyone navigate through the experience. My son had a great time running around. I love how they kept it engaging for the kids, but some of the activities were too advanced for my toddler to follow. For example, he could not figure out how to find the blue styrofoam roll and place that on the puzzle board to unlock the village. There were also too many kids in the cage area, so it was hard to get him up there to throw the ball at Gargamel. At the end, he did not want to put on the VR goggles, so we went straight to the gift shop. Our favorite activity was the obstacle course. The kids had loads of fun climbing and running to and fro. I personally like the Smurf village, which was absolutely adorable with vibrant colors. You can also meet the Smurf characters for photo-op. It was definitely a fun experience that was not too congested with others. Entrance fee definitely on the pricey side though.

The dinosaurs themselves were pretty neat. They moved and made noises. It would be interesting to…read morefind out how scientists have decided what the dinos sounded like. In any case, there were probably about 15 dinosaurs in total. Visitors follow a path at their own pace to view each dinosaur. Touching them is prohibited, but you can get pretty much as close as you want to observe and photograph. There is also a small dig area and a staff member walking around with a baby dino the kids can pet. Our first loop through prehistoric park took about 15 minutes. We splashed and swam a bit in the lake and then returned for another quick loop through the dinosaur trail before heading home. Overall, it's a pleasant activity and definitely a kid-pleaser. My children ages 1-9 all enjoyed it. The problem is the cost. $29 is just WAYYYY too high for what this is. Part of me thinks the city of Grapevine should just continue to charge the regular entrance fee into Meadowmere Park and use the dinosaur exhibit as a way to increase traffic into the park during the off-season. We for sure will not be returning to the park until the exhibit is over and the entrance fee returns to a more reasonable rate. If your kid loves dinosaurs and you've never been here, by all means, go, but I'd probably chalk this up to a once in a lifetime activity.

Essentially, this is a walk-through light show with a Chinese theme that tells a story. I think the boy's name this year was Kuda. You follow a path through different experiences. Along the way, there are activities for kids to keep them engaged, for example the dragon that changes colors or lava from the volcano that changes colors. Towards the end, after you go through "corn field" there is a food pavilion with lots of choices, a stage where they put on an acrobatic show, and various activities for kids. Ours liked what I will call the corn pit, which is basically like a sand box except filled with corn kernels. The kids loved playing in the corn. She could have stayed there for hours if we let her. The tickets are not cheap, $27 for an adult and $20 for kids. Parking is extra but discounted if you pay online. However, I really think you get your money worth. We stayed for two hours and could have stayed longer except we had work the next day. I would say budget 2-2.5 hours at least. This is a great family activity and I highly recommend it. I think we probably will go again next year.

We didn't have any wheeled devices so I can't speak to that. We didn't really follow the story that's presented, but that didn't take away from the fun. There were some electric issues that affected the food court and a small section of the path, but everything was quickly resolved. It was early on in their season so I imagine they were working out a few kinks. Over this was such a beautiful experience and my family loved it. I would definitely recommend visiting and being enchanted by the beautiful lights and animatronics (both interactive and otherwise) on display.
