Locals peddling thier products they have spent hours crafting with love to others in the community. And the city was so supportive of the vendors- the city employees working the event were constantly making rounds insuring everything was going well and the visitors were having a good time. The Mayor even came around and was shaking everyone's hand and taking selfies with the booth vendors. I see you, Mr. Mayor Jim. They had a ton of food and local bands/ performers as well. My favorite was Poly Hwy- go check them out on FB. They were Polynesian and had a very island-y vibe. It was the perfect chill music to have playing while you stroll around. John Tipton was second- dude if you are reading this- that was the best cover of Bad Leroy Brown ever! And all of this was FREE! Silver Dollar Winery was serving up vino- although I wish they would have had the frozen peachy wine slushie- hint hint for next year guys ;). Crazy Cowboy was smoking up a storm and slinging brisket sandwiches and Rahr beer. La Rosita truck was also there in case you had a hankering for a taco. Bedford is a hidden gem guys, real talk. I've been pigging out too much. Stop temping me after this! gym time errrday in May!!!! it's nice that they gather up all around you for once so you wouldnt have to drive around for different trucks. I really wanted Ssahm though! that is my favorite truck ever! they weren't there! sad days....:(. They had some of the trucks thats been around and some new I've never even heard of. I went on a Friday and there was not much to do. No music...just trucks. I can't possibly eat food from all those trucks ok? please find other entertainment! the chairs for the table could be better. They were so flimsy, I thought my badonkadonk butt was going to fall off. How embarrassing would that be? yikes!

What's not to like?…read moreThere were about 35 trucks out at the ballpark and for a 10$ donation to the American Cancer Society you can check out the trucks (food was, of course, not included in the ticket fee) I was impressed with the variety of trucks... Lots of sweet trucks (whatsdascoop, cup cakin', short and sweet) and even more savory ones. There we plenty of tables and chairs, as well as the area inside the Ballpark for seating. All in all I look forward to this annual event to help cancer and get my truck grub on.

This is a great park when you're looking for a little escape for an hour or more. There are shops to grab a bite to eat near the water-walk as well, which is nice if you want to make the most of your visit. Prices run the gamut from under $50 to the $1000's. live music all weekend -great headliners at night. Festival open until 11pm but artists usually shut downaround 8. (they need their rest too) You can purchase tickets to buy food and drinks or hit one of the downtown restaurants.

The food is still the main draw, but it adds up fast. Most things are $12-$20 (and you have to use coupons), so your money goes quick. Go with friends and split everything if you actually want to try stuff. If you're coming for rides, you'll be disappointed. It's better to go on a day with a concert or the rodeo so it feels more worth it. Parking is ass and expensive. Take the train--it drops you right in front and saves you the headache.

I will go out on a limb here, I don't believe you will find a better Bluegrass festival anywhere in the country. 'But this Texas, there ain't any Bluegrass here'-you might say. Well you would be wrong. It's alive and very well right here in Framers Branch. Every act could be or has been or will be a headliner at any other festival that usually might have only one 'big name'. I have managed in two events to see everyone of my favorites. If you love great musicianship and acoustic music this is a can't miss show. I am anxious to see who will come next year. The first time, our GPS said we were 1.4 miles from the entrance... that's how FAR back the line stretched not counting the winding roads after the entrance gate. Traffic management is nonexistent past the gate: no cones, no staff, just cars blocking intersections and nearly colliding in the dark. By the time you finally make it inside, you're shoulder-to-shoulder in a packed crowd, too stressed to enjoy the lights. Save your money and sanity. Go to a haunted house instead. At least the fear and stress there is intentional and a shorter wait time. I won't make the mistake of coming back ever in the future.

The pictures looked absolutely stunning and the lineup this year appealed directly to my taste in EDM so I had to check it out. Any festival with Porter, Borgore, Flux, 3LAU, etc in my backyard needs to be attended. The ticket price was extremely affordable for a two day festival ($115). I loved this festival! There was so much room to dance and I never felt claustrophobic like at Life in Color or some other festivals I've been to. The production was incredible. They don't just have LED screens or big LED screens, they arrange them in such a way for each stage that you could have the same artist playing at the two larger stages and get a completely different experience. The LED screens piece together to project different parts of one visual. It's pretty damn awesome. Sound quality was amazing. Large variety of food. Beer was quite pricey for an EDM festival (that being said while I expected pricey beer). Parking is $20 and the lot was extremely easy to get in and out of. There is a massive Buc-ee's across the street from the speedway so it was the perfect spot for post hangover food. There was a surprisingly large amount of out of staters here and it was nice meeting people from all over the states at this festival. It is growing larger every year and it's inspiring to see the rapid growth of EDM in Texas. I hope they one day put this inside the Speedway and we get a three day Texas EDC :) One can dream! As an aspiring DJ who started learning a few months ago, I can certainly say I would love to play this festival next year if I got good enough!

It was lots of junky crafts and a few (non-crowded) food stalls - All packed together in an alley for only about 4 blocks. I went with 2 friends, the only thing one of us actually purchased was a sticker. I suppose the good news is that parking was pretty easy and it is only 1x per year. Hard pass.
