We have TriCare which requires a Pre-authorization. the staff member was unwilling to submit the online form for an pre-auth and flat out said "I don't do that". I confirmed with insurance pre-auths must be submitted by the referring provider. It is not something a patient can submit-unlike a claim. The employee eventually submitted to a company I don't have and tried to place the blame on me even though they had all of my Medical and Dental insurance information. I also had to explain the difference between a pre-auth and a claim as she kept referring to it as a claim. After 2 months she finally called Tricare but was unable to complete the form because she didn't know the DRG code. I tried to suggest checking with other offices as she did not have the info, but it was impossible to have a conversation as I was constantly interrupted and told numerous times "I don't do that". I confirmed with other local dental offices that pre-auths are submitted as needed by their staff to medical insurances and this is not considered out of ordinary although not frequently needed. So I understand the employee may never have sent one before and had no idea how, but the complete refusal to learn or find out was very disappointing. Again I confirmed this is not an issue with other offices. I requested a call-back to discuss the issue and never received one. Since River Valley does not seem to want to meet the needs of their customers, and I have already spoke with several offices who confirmed they will, we are switching to a different dentist.

After flat…read moreout saying I can't afford the "extras" not covered by my insurance and being told it would be noted that I was declining those services, they proceeded to give me a horribly inaccurate estimate that was close to 1/4 of what they were actually going to charge. I have had this same procedure done before at other dentist offices and have never encountered these additional charges. Apparently the expectation is that you call your insurance, with half of your mouth numb, while in the chair, before they squirt anything in your mouth and before giving you anything to take home. Seems incredibly unrealistic. This place seems extremely shady and I will never be back nor refer a single person here. This location needs to learn to give proper estimates showing ALL of the charges not just what seems most likely to get you to come back and the gouge the patient later. I can't make an informed decision on my care if your estimate is deceptive! I have found a trustworthy dentist to continue my care and will never step through the door of this office again! Granted, I'm sure any dentist is going to be more trustworthy than this location.

That's how you know this business and the team really care about their patients and see them and respect them as real people. Now, I can't imagine going anywhere else. The entire experience is a pleasure, something I imagine many don't say about the dentist. From check in and the friendly receptionist/admin team, to the hygienists and Dr. Brenney, I've never had a more painless experience at the dentist. Please note that this five star review comes from someone who HATES going to the dentist. Location: Centerpointe Dental has two locations (Lakeville & Burnsville). The Lakeville location is easy to get to, near Target (I have a Target shopping problem...) and they have a private parking lot that makes it easy to drop off patients and park. Service: The staff is beyond friendly, skilled, knows what they're doing. The staff at Centerpoint truly does what's best for the patient and they put the patient(s) first. I was told by a dentist at a local clinic that I would need two veneers post root canal. I went for a second opinion with Dr. Krech; he was able to internally bleach my tooth and saw no need for one veneer, let alone two. He saved me time and money and I;m forever grateful for this. You can tell the staff are passionate about dental health and love what they do! This factor truly makes a difference in the level of care and again, putting the patient first over a possibly higher payout. Insurance: Centerpointe works with most major insurance companies. If you don't have insurance, they'll talk options with you to see what works best for you and your budget. My insurance doesn't cover internal teeth bleaching, so I called around to a few dental practices to get an idea on pricing and Centerpointe definitely had the better pricing out of three different practices.
