We love our little piece of heaven. We have grass and trees. That alone sets us apart from any other place in Tucson. Not to mention our big green grass pastures the horses get turned out in. We also have big arenas for jumping, dressage work, barrels, or just riding in. On top of that we have (2) 75' extra big round pens, a 1/2 mile track, a grassy field with a hill and log jumps, and a dirt field with a sunken road obstacle and other jumps. Many areas to ride and enjoy as well as access to miles/hours of trail riding in the wash or up into the southernmost entrance of Saguaro Natl. park. We are kid friendly but we have mostly adults that board here. Our senior horse population is more than 1/2 of the horses here. I believe that touts our care as many of them are close to or in their 30's! Come in for a visit anytime. read more

Great place with wonderful people. Grass, trees, fat horses, it's been nothing but a great experience for my horse and me for almost two years. The open arena and jump arena are both spacious enough to accommodate multiple riders at the same time, and the round pens are very pleasant, and none of them run down like a lot of arenas and round pens can be. The price is more than reasonable for this level of care (grass turnouts, 3 meals/day including bagged supplements/lunch) and the owners and workers are very knowledgeable about what they're doing. Also, plenty of trailer parking, and trail riding in the wash is so easy to access without having to trailer out. read more

River Valley is truly an amazing place to keep your horse. Large arenas to work your horse. Jumps and barrels for barrel racing!!! Every one is so nice and really cares about the horses. Every horse gets turned out twice a week into a grass pasture that has real grass! Not like the rest of the Tucson grass. You walk into river valley and it feels like it drops a couple of degrees with all the shade and greenery. Trails are right out the back gate! The track around the property is always soft and has plenty of jumps. Everything here is always kept up beautifully! My only regret is not moving here sooner! read more

This is an amazing equestrian facility with really great kind and helpful owners. There is an arena set up with jumps and a arena that is usually set up for dressage but can be left open for more space, good footing in each. There is a riding track around the entire property and multiple cross country jumps in several areas. This place is also close and has access to pantano wash so you can ride for miles. I would highly recommend River Valley Ranch as a place to board your horse. You can rest assured they will receive excellent care. read more

This facility had it all! A beautiful jumping arena with a viewing deck, an arena designated to under saddle riding, cross country jumps out in the events of the property as well as a riding track that boarders the outside of the facility. All stall types cared for by fantastic workers. The asthetics are so different (green and lush) from what you would expect in the typical Tucson setting. River Valley Ranch is an absolute gem in Tucson! Boarding a horse is so tough. You expect someone to treat your horse like it is their own and this is what we have found here. Top of the line care with incredible amenities not typically found in Tucson. My horse was so excited to see grass again and I love the "no drama" feel the barn has. River Valley Ranch is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Crystal and Taylor (owners) have extensive knowledge and are so caring and attentive. While there our horse was taken care of beyond our expectations. Unfortunately we moved and are no longer there. But should we ever be in Tucson again RIver Valley Ranch would be our one and only choice for board and lessons etc. read more

Beautiful ranch with lots of open, green space. There's a little bit for everyone with a jumping ring, an open/dressage ring, a cross country course, and a nice hacking trail. All disciplines welcomed. Nice big, airy stalls with paddocks and convenient to the fairgrounds if you show. I highly recommend RVR. Lots of happy horses and happy people! read more

Beautiful training/boarding barn. Two large arenas, 6 large grass pastures, and a track with fields to ride in around the property. The trees are mature and it does not feel like Tucson. The care of our horses is also the best. If you are looking for that perfect not over crowded horse facility with all the amenities then this is your place. read more

Not only do Crystal and Taylor run a great boarding facility, but they are great people too. My wife and I have had the privilege of knowing them both for many years now and there's no one that my wife would trust more with her horse than River Valley Ranch.
