Later, I received a text message from the dealership quoting $162,595 for that same vehicle and VIN. So, for the same 2025 Ford Mustang Super Snake (VIN 1FA6P8CF8S5401876), the price went from $61,310 on the website, to $92,000 on the phone, to $162,595 by text. In my opinion, that is extremely misleading, and it felt like a classic bait and switch tactic designed to get customers in the door with one price, then try to sell the same car at a much higher number. Because of this experience, I chose not to buy anything from Payne Rio Grande City Ford. I am sharing these details so other buyers can protect themselves. If you decide to shop here, I strongly recommend getting every quote in writing, matching it against the advertised online price, and being prepared to walk away if the numbers suddenly change.
