Usually people do not say that they had a great time at the dentist, but I had a blast. The staff....each and every one of them were just very down-to-earth and kind. Not a frown in the office. I only waited for about 10 mins after checking in. The lobby was immaculate and smelled wonderful. Oh, what I loved too was that you park and the door is right there. No hunting for the location and wandering around like a mad person in this heat. It was very easy to get to. So anyway.... I was taken back to the room, which was not closed off yet private enough that I did not feel the whole office was looking in my mouth. His assistant (Orianna...I remember the Anna part..sorry girl) asked me what brought me in and I explained all of my concerns. She made me feel comfortable with being really honest with her about my issues. She took x-rays and was super conversational in the process which continued to help calm my jitters. The doctor came in and ran a thorough review of my mouth and my x-rays. All I know is, the last dentist I visited was not as detailed with a game plan on how to get me back to 100%. He broke everything down in layman's terms. I was able to understand the what and the why to get us to a final outcome that we both would be happy with. I appreciate how willing they were to take the time to explain everything to me. I left with no unanswered questions and future appointments have been booked. She had me deal with a top Periodontist to have some teeth extracted. That went very well and then she somehow worked with a lab (magic?) and had me fit with temporary teeth the next day. I recently had a bridge procedure done on my lower right molars. This was the worst and most…read morepainful dental experience I have ever experienced post-procedure for days afterward because I needed a root canal. The dentist did not know that I needed a root canal. I agreed to have a bridge done on my lower right molars. After the temporary bridge was implanted, the back molar needed an emergency root canal which was was done by an endodontist days later after the temporary bridge was implanted. The pain and suffering that I was experienced prior to the root canal/post procedure of the temporary bridge was excruciating. The pain was throbbing in my tooth that lasted days until I had to get a root canal to remove the pain. The dentist and assistant at Smiles told me that the pain would "go away" after a couple of days. So, I waited for the pain to go away. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, pain medication didn't work and I could hardly get through my work at my job. Therefore, I had to get an emergency root canal with a different endodontist before the permanent bridge was implanted. Then, when the permanent bridge came in to replace the temporary, the permanent bridge did not fit. So, the dentist made another bridge. Finally, they put the permanent bridge in. I asked for a partial refund for the pain and suffering, as I have spent a lot of money on this procedure as well as prior procedures in the past. The dentist and upper management at Smiles are aware of the pain and suffering that I went through due to the dentist not knowing that I needed a root canal. The dentist and dentist's assistant told me that the pain from the tooth that was grinded to close to the nerve would "go away." I'll never go back. They don't know what they're doing.
